I don't know how helpful this will be, but I finally did get a little help from someone at the ISP. They have changed where you do anything with things so I didn't know where to find the place to block emails from someone or allow emails from someone. Under the "preferences" on your email go to "mail" and then down to where you can tell it what addresses to block and what to allow. I had things like "@sparkpeople.com" and something else from Sparkpeople in the allow, but I also added "mail@sparkpeople.com", so maybe that will help. For others who are having problems getting their emails and notifications, maybe that will help them. I don't know how much it will help for mine, but it's worth a try I guess. The support address at Sparkpeople did send me some information about a page at Century Link that gives their policies. The people at Century Link that I talked to didn't even know it existed.

We have android phones, but they're Virgin Mobile - those are about the cheapest ones we could find - they have lots of different plans to suit various needs. For instance, I don't use my phone for texting - I only use it for calls and only when I need it so I don't have an elaborate plan. You could check out the Virgin Mobile website and see if it's cheaper. Good luck. I think I'm going to email the moderator of the topic and see if she or he can help you.

I have been having to use the Google Chrome since the last time I got my Sparkpeople mail blocked and complained to Century Link. My IE immediately quit working. The Google Chrome has been crashing several times a day. I have gone through everything, scanning several times, and there aren't any trojans, viruses or malware on the computer, so I can't figure out what is going wrong other than Century Link has slowed my service down to about nothing. I cannot even get it to type half the time. I do not have a smart phone. I can't afford the cost of the service for that. They have been saying that there won't be anything available but smart phones by the middle of this year and the costs of service to go with them. If that is the case, I will have to change my cell phone provider, too, because I cannot afford that. My friend has one of those pay-as-you-go phones, though, and it costs more than my service.

Some of the team leaders say they have no problems with this type of thing now that they use Google Chrome which is a PC based browser similar to Firefox and Explorer. My husband says if you're using a android-based cell phone, it's internet browser should be similar to Google Chrome. Hope this helps in some way. Let me know what happens and I'll try to find some help for you. Miller

Oh, by the way, one person suggested I "rejoin" all my teams. She also said that once she had to power down her computer and power it back up for it to get fixed, but that's not the problem for me because I power down my laptop all the time. It would be nice if help were readily available.

I don't know. And everyone on my teams said I should come here for answers because the technical people here were very helpful, but so far, I haven't heard from anyone in the "Technical Help" department. You may want to email the moderator for this topic - the moderators are sometimes good at responding one-on-one. Good luck! Miller

I'm having exactly the same problems - no notifications are coming into my email from Spark. I don't know who to contact to get this fixed. I also checked my Spam folder and made sure that my "notification preferences" were set up right. Everything is fine on my end. Can anybody out there in "Sparkland" help? Thanks, Miller

A few days ago I stopped getting my spark notifications to my email. Like the notifications that someone commented on my blog or that I have sparkmail or that someone has posted after me in a thread in a group I am in. I checked my email and they are not going to spam. I also checked that I am signed up to get these on spark. Is there a way this can be fixed please ?
