I thought multiple favorites was 1 point, but experimentation proves otherwise.

Added 3 favorite items, got 2 points. Added 4 favorite items, got 4 points. So yeah, it seems a little screwy.

Yes. I have always added all my favorites for a meal at the same time. Sometimes like this morning when adding 4 items, the count went missing 1... yesterday morning when I entered the same 4 item meal the count did not lose any points. Go figure. Some how the system getting from point A to point B must have at least two different paths that it can take. Depending on which path taken causes the difference in the result.

Once upon a time this kind of problem was mine to solve. Puzzles can be so much fun or so very frustrating, hair-pulling etc. I have shared my user frustration and will endeavor to put it away in the a little box that I will bury in the back-yard when the ground thaws.

Just thought of something... I do not always select the items in the same order... AND... the system does not seem to store the items in the same order every time. (maybe I will try to keep a journal of the order I select items, the order the items are listed, and how the count works) I am so going to get into this puzzle. It sounds like fun to me. See, burying my frustration in a box worked!! YEA!! Rah-Rah My Team !!

You're not adding multiple items from favourites at once are you?

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this. Unfortunately we can't look into missing points. However, you may want to clear your cache/cookies and browsing history. Sometimes that helps things run a little smoother.

Be well,
Kelly

Update:
1/30/2013 0838 hrs EST USA - I entered 4 items on my Nutrition Tracker (oatmeal, flax seed, honey, milk). These four items appeared on my Nutrition Tracker... BUT,, on my Spark Points Tracker my nutrition points displayed as 3. I went back to nutrition tracker removed flax seed, then added flax seed back.... now have entries equal to original entries on nutritional tracker -AND - now I have 4 nutrition points on my Spark Point tracker.

note: I have absolutely no idea which item is did not get counted originally. I just delete and add items until the count comes out correct.

for example... add four items for breakfast and get 4 points on spark points tracker
then add 5 items for lunch and have a total of 7 points on spark points tracker.
then add 5 items for dinner and have a total of 10 points on Spark Points Tracker.
the Nutrition tracker shows/lists all 14 items, spark points tracker shows total of 10.

I knew about the group adding only 1 point for the whole group
I also knew there is a limit of 15 for total points per day.

Result: I have learned to double check all point counts that I can control.
BUT, because I have had to learn to double check.... I have grave doubts about the honesty of many, maybe most of "Spark People" information especially that put forth as "FACT". Honesty and Reliability are invaluable commodities in the business world. It doesn't take a whole lot to shake a customer's faith.
Sorry about the rant/vent. I will get over it. Life is too short to allow this irritation to take up so much room in my life.

There is a maximum number of points for the nutrition tracker daily, which you can't get more no matter how much you add.

Also, due to a quirk of the way the site works it gives you a point when you click 'add'. So if you add a food group, or if you add multiple favorites at once - you get 1 point. One click - one point.

I have noticed lately that the total number of entries I make on my Nutrition Tracker is more than the number of Nutrition Tracker points that show on My SparkPoints Tracker. This makes me wonder..... what else is not tracking correctly. Since I do not know which item is not counted, I go back, delete items from the nutrition tracker then add them back onto the nutrition tracker.
Meanwhile, I wonder if the Nutrition Tracker is really tracking the grams/etc correctly. Maybe that tracking cannot add either. What else is malfunctioning?
For some reason "points" are a REALLY BIG motivator for me.
While I am on this vent, I will add that several days in a row of getting 2 and 3 points on wheel spins really is a negative motivator for me also.
Not that anyone really cares.
