Unident has given you some good advice. If he does not respect your request to refrain from any further contact, send me a SparkMail with the details and I can intervene.

Thanks!

Send his account a sparkmail saying that in light of your previous relationship together, you request that he please do not post on your blogs or page, even positive things. You prefer to have no communication with him at all please, and hope that he respects that.

Then, if he still does it, report his ass. Send the spark team a copy of the sent sparkmail to prove you asked him nicely first.

While his comments may not specifically breach the community guidelines independently, I feel confident they will have a word if this process is followed and he keeps annoying you.

Yeah, I'd seen that post. The problem is that this ex's comments are all friendly, not something really reportable. However, he seems to have not gotten the message from the restraining order many years ago that I don't want to be friends, and I've told him that, but he appears to be a bit dense. (Anyone who keeps contacting you for 25 years after being told to go away falls into the 'dense' category in my mind.)

I sent in a query about this directly to Sparkpeople earlier, and the response I got from staff was that I can't block him directly, but that I could go private. So I went private, despite the fact that this cuts me off from meeting new supportive people in this journey via blog posts. It kinda sucks that I have to retreat from the world because my stalker won't leave me alone, but hey, if that's how things are set up here, I've paid for my SparkCoach and I darned well want to continue my 5% challenge. I just won't have as much community interaction via blog posts. There's other ways to get interaction.

HI, sorry to hear you are having problems. You can not block one user, but, if you read this thread from the beginning, your answer may be in the second post in the thread from one of the coaches..

I did a search for 'blocking one SP user", and I got this as a hit. Good luck...

Hey there! I have a minor quandary I'm hoping can be resolved. An ex of mine, someone who at one point had a restraining order placed against him to keep him away from me, has started commenting on my blog posts. He is not a friend of mine, although of course he did friend me. Now, I'd LIKE to keep my blog public as I'm participating in a number of different teams on Sparkpeople, and I'm getting new friends on a near-daily basis. But every time his name pops up in another comment on my blog, it gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Is there a way to block one specific user from contacting you without locking out all non-friend users?
