I didn't notice that barcode scanning button before.

When I open the app on my android phone it takes me to a "Welcome" page. There is a "Scan Barcode" button to use. It is easier to find than the other one.

Hello,

If you have downloaded our app for the droid, there is a barcode scanner.
The barcode scanning button is located in the top left corner of the main food log screen (the image is several vertical lines meant to look like a barcode). Pressing that button will open up a barcode scanner app on your phone. If you don't already have a scanning app installed, it will prompt you to download a free app. Here's a direct link to download the free
app: market.android.com/details?id=com.google.z
xing.client.android

Once the barcode is scanned, we search our servers to find the food just scanned. We provide a list of matches and you just choose the best match.
After choosing the best match, the next screen allows you to enter serving size, amount and meal and add it to your daily food log. (Note: if no suitable match is found, there's a button at the bottom of the scanner results list to do a normal food search.)

Be well,
Kelly

I've joined myfitnesspal and loseit.com because they let you scan barcodes of food products. I can't find anywhere on teh Spark people site to do this! I lost 60 lbs with sparkpeople and I'd like to get back on the wagon to lose an additional 10 but it isn't convenient to look up all those foods when i can just scan it into my phone with the other programs. Are you going to implement that feature any time soon?
