changing mygoal. honestly i should just stick to a goal of staying under 140 consistantly with a normal weight of 138. it's too hard to stay at 135 and leads to my old ED habits. i can't let it win. i'm 5'3 and a size 4/6 still have curves and am not a stick. i should be happy. now i should focus on eating a little more and just exercising to tone instead of food consuming my life.

My journey is on going. I know I will have to monitor my weight for the rest of my life. But that is okay. As a retired person, what else do I have to do? I have lost 4 or 5 pounds since Oct. 1, and I have to temper my impatience because it took more than a year to put the weight on!

6.5 pounds from goal? REALLY?
my original goal was 145 and i was not happy there. will i be happy at 135? it's nice to be at 141.5 considering i was at 159 in march....i think i was at 155 this time last year. for a long time i kept it steady at 155-165 so it's strange being about 20 pounds less than that and feeling the same, not understanding my new body/how clothes fit different/what sizes to wear. im not going shopping until i hit my goal, i think im just a little inbetween sizes. about a 6 though. though some 6's are baggy and some 8's are just right. whatever.

clothes shopping is so strange and my least favorite thing through the weight loss process. it's so weird trying on clothes and not having them fit yet not fitting quite right into the next size for this reason or another.
large sweaters fit me no more, they are so huge, mediums usually fit but even smalls fit me now other than in the chest. same with womans dresses. in pants i'm a solid size 6. i was buying size 10 back in april.
it's a weird process, i have so many loose clothes, yet the size 6's are kind of awkward too, i know once i hit 140 i'm a solid 4/6 from previous experience. just really weird when i was having trouble with 10's at one point and was a 12 at one point in my life even!
i know i'm smaller sometimes when i look in the mirror, but i really don't feel smaller, hence picking up the large sweater and being completely shocked when i was drowning in it. i still get the large every time i go shopping and am still always surprised.....

weighed in at 146.5 a few minutes ago and i am happy with it. seems to be a regular number. tried on a dress i bought in the winter last year that was way too small and now it's slightly loose! nice to see progress. that and the fact that i need new pants.

YES. it always takes a while to get over that 150 hump, but i'm over it. and i ate terribly yesterday! i'll take it. i think sometimes i don't want to believe i've actually lost weight. it's like sometimes i feel just as fat as i once was even though i'm definitely looking different.

i'm SO hungry right now, but 1/2 half an energy bar and a banana await me in my car.
i've done fantastically well all week and i think i'll do great the next two weeks as well. i can tell more weight has probably come off just as how clothes are fitting. i've had a little taco bell but healthier options. this week i haven't had any fast food though.

Fast Food is still a challenge for me. What's helped though is Subway Kid's Meals. The 4 in mini turkey sub is only 190 calories and I don't notice a difference between that and the 6 inch in terms of hunger.
Also, I looked at the nutrition information for my favorite places and picked lower calorie options. I typed them up in a chart and printed it. I leave it in the car so when I go through the drive-thru I make better choices.

i'm probably sitting around 150 but i haven't officially weighed in, in a little while.
i've cut out beer nearly completely and i've definitely noticed a little improvement in my stomach.
i need a new system though, i am on the road so much and this fast food is not cutting it!
i'm going to start hooping for 30 minutes a day, and try to also run/bike walk for another 30 minutes 3 times a week, as well as a hike each weekend.
really i just want to drop 10 pounds, i'm not as concerned about the weight as i am toning so that's the real goal. that and not filling my body with such nutrient free food.
i need to stop the occasional high calorie drinks i've been having as well as the taco bell binges.
new system: hoop 30 minutes a day, 5x a week walk/bike 3 times a week hike 1 time a week -only water and occasionally a diet drink now. -if i eat taco bell, it has to be fresco style. -no carbs in the evenings (salads, fruits, yogurts, proteins)
Breakfast: fruits, yogurts, whole grain cereals, occasionally other protein sources
Lunch: i'm allowed to eat what i want within range for lunch depending on breakfast/dinner. this is the time to get my extra calories in/carbs in though.
Dinner: as long as i get carbs for breakfast/lunch i'm pretty satisfied and only want a small dinner.

i haven't posted in a long time!!! it's been a roller coaster of a year, as always i've been on and of course. but good news? regardless of my getting off track some of the time, keeping up with things some of the time has helped!
i was somewhere around 165+ last may i was at 152 last week! i was 171 when i started on this site. almost 20 lbs gone!
despite all of the struggles and fall offs i weigh less!
i do believe i will hit 149 or 148 within the next week!!
