boy July flew by so fast and the its 12 days to the reunion did not get to my goal but i am going to go and have fun. set a new goal for Sept to do a memory walk with a spark friend she is the East Coast and I am on the west coast but it will be fun.

July 26 its day 10 of spark guys challenge to get 10 extra minutes of the fitness so Racey and I are going walking. then home to tidy up around the house and get a few extra fitness minutes in sun is out but since i mess up in the gym and pulled a muscle so taking today easy but not the day off . dealing with a house tax issues so it making want to eat even though i know that won't solve the issue i need to wait until Monday and sort this issue out.

To keep my self moving to my goal i joined Spark Guy and his challenge and reading his blogs today was a about out jump rope moment since I don't jump rope I decided to to do the chicken Fat work out three times thought . and since its Friday its dance party night
I did get my Racey walk in
learned the hard to follow directions and do the foot press exercise right do 3 sets of 5 for 15 to start with not 3 sets of 15 ouch today and heating pad day so dance party wont last and hour to night just going to do my best and heal up and I have 15 days to go until the reunion and I am on day 9 of spark guys challenge emoticon tomorrow its double digits that looks so much better than single for some reason .

I have tossed the scales down the basement steps given them away to Good Well but some how they talk they way back into the house and when they are here I struggle watching them go up and down. Spark guy talks about streaks of fitting in ten min work outs. I am adding my own streak to weight only every other week and get those fitness minutes to increase and the weight will decrees .
Dute06 sorry you are unable to attend the reunion i would not go either but i still live in the city where i went to school. and the odd think is its now a retirement home and extend care center .

This journey is not going to end over night i need to remember i did get this way over night and i need to just deal with one day at time no huge goals to stress me out when i don't lose the weight like you often read about 2 pounds a week 8 pounds a month something i have not done in ages .
today Racey and I did three walks short but walks the grass got a hair cut and watering the lawn. we had a huge wind storm pass though so that interrupted our evening walk so did things in the house joined spark guys team for the 10 minute challenge each day. going to challenge my self to add 10 minutes to regular work out plan of 45 keep adding time until its back to the 120 minutes i have been doing working on add steps to my tracker. have a walk planned with a spark friend in Sept she will be walking in the East coast me on the west coast. storm waring again so need to end and log out

I have been on this journey since 2012 and only lost 39 pounds sounds like a lot but for three years it not much I have had weeks I stayed the same gained to 15 pounds lost and regained them so like Erma Broombeck said she had lost enough weight to be on a charm bracelet. I feel the way. I have made the list why I want the weight off
Gathered the quotes the work plans joined the gym have a tracker Ö just need to remember these three things and the journey will be more fun
1 do it to get healthy not for an event or some else
2 take one meal at time not the entire week
3 it will not happen over night
I have started over more times than I want to count but I am starting again not over just doing the hike over.
Its like when I go visit Tom we go the Garden of the Gods have been there several times but each time I see and look forward to revisiting the park I have a new map now stop doing this for and event. I need to do it to get healthy and make that the the only reason.

my flame was on low again figured out why watching to much news again and then my brain tells me it time to eat. I need to remember to make a shopping list and plan donít go to the store hunger I have the tools just sometimes forget to use them and then I get my self in trouble .

I enjoy collecting and sharing quotes and post them where I can see them and keep myself going to the end zone. Found one that says a lot You can save write down all the great quotes and exercise tips but the real thing I need to do is do the work out and follow the quotes advice. So I have joined spark Guys challenge to see how many 10 minute works I can get in each day then will add my regular routine back in with a goal if 120 min a day it a one day at a time deal

Today is Thursday and time for an update on finding my lost MO JOE.
Thanks to so many helpful spark family a blog by Spark guy came at just the right time I was reminded that summer heat and life in general gets us down at times. I just need to sit down and re do my plan and goals Do not beat my self. Do not start over.
Like the quote that says, If we get a flat tire we change it and move on, we donít start over just get back in the car and continue on our errand.
Like golf has the mulligan doing the stroke over. I can do the same and that is just what I am doing
That is what I did
I have achieve the goals I listed in my blog. New goals its time to get back to doing an accurate food journal. Found a fun quote your body keeps and accurate account even if your pen does not
Adding more water to the day
exercise time spark guys ten minute plan can sure add up quickly standing up and doing simple exercises siting standing up marching in place squats side kicks to name a few. today they have a towel exercise I adding to list. Canít forget my favorite chicken fat I have added some of my own exercises the second time thought.
Up dated my spark page and motivational board on the start page helped too
while walking in the Park on Monday had some take my picture its now my new before picture I did go back and look at my before picture that was taken in June 2010 that got me re going also I can see how far I have come. My quote continues to be taking baby steps is the winning plan not how fast I go
Remember if I am moving I out lap the coach potato and the person who did not get back up after their fall on the trail.

HAVE RE WRITTEN SOME GOALS AND RE WROTE MY PLAN IN PLACES KNOW now that i don't need to an hour in the gym every day can did 30 min three times a week and sneak in the short work outs at home and they add up walk early in the morning . remember that need to plan and eat what i plan to eat to stay sparky. and adding lemon to my water helps me get my 8 glasses in and ice tea counts as water.
met my goals for i talked about in my blog . thanks to my spark family i am moving FORWARD The quote Friends are family by choice is so true and they are showing me i just needed to ask for help and not pretend everything was O kay and a good piece from my brother when some one the family says some thing like why are you eating that cookie thought you were on a diet let it fo in one ear and out the other . marching on to the class reunion may not lose that 10 pounds but trying for five since i have 20 days to go.

Funny I wrote a blog on losing my MO JOE after reading another spark friend with the same disease. Thought about what a couple family members said to me at a picnic in June. I am the over weight family member Most of them are shaped like Barbie and Ken
Since it was a potluck I was assigned desserts you have your moms cookie baking gift and bake for Tom so dessert is your job.
I took a couple to enjoy !!! Of course a comment was made I thought you were trying to lose weight.
Since starting spark in 2012 until now 2014 I went from 198 to 163 and no one has mentioned anything the lose!
They seem to notice the times I have none spark foods on my plate.

Made me want to eat all the more cookies. I had forgotten about the comment until another spark friend share her struggles and lack of family support. And it all came back so I did a short blog with mini goals to meet this week. When I checked into Spark this afternoon what a surprise when a note popped up telling me I had a popular blog award thank you so much for the votes and encouraging words of support my spark is on high in fact it 1000% checking in early to thank you for the votes and tips to get me going. I walked out side early
Did a errand at the Mall and added two loops as well and hit the for 35 minutes


The woo hoo is that the bathroom sink would not drain this morning then that little silly voice said. just think you can skip the walk and gym today to handle this . wrong its not leaking on the floor! and I would need to go out to get liquid Plumber any way Ö so
Walk done Morning Mass Walgreen for Liquid plumber Mall to pay a bill and get a walk in there too hit the gym for 35 minutes and them home to tackle the water issue sink had drained in that time dumped the stuff down the drain and headed to the kitchen time for breakfast and then run the hot water down the sink . Clog in sink gone goals checked off the list and water goal for the day done and its only 2 PM The mini goal is going good and I have decided that My spark family is here to be my cheer section. Talked with Tom (brother) and he said you know I think your doing great just donít always think to say anything. And consider the fact you only see the relatives twice a year let it go in your left ear and out the right. Thanks again and I will be reporting in Wed afternoon . just need to remember baby steps are a great way to get where we are going . no scales until WED.

I know I have slipped and slide along the trail telling my self I am doing all I can do to get this weight off but when I set down and really sit and take a hard look I have given it only 49% the last several weeks first I was waiting to get the biopsy done then waiting for the results no insurance Ö stress so I ate it may have been healthy but to much can be unhealthy
Pity parties play a role poor me everyone else is making summer travel plans its another stay home vacation but then I stop many of my spark family are staying home too
And that has nothing to do with getting the weight off . Maybe I can have another Denver Christmas
Telling my self its too warm to work out yet a few months ago it was to cold to do any thing I need to stop and remind my self getting up when its cool I can walk and when it warms up I stay in where it cool .
Itís a new week no I am not starting over staring over would mean I would be back at 198 pounds
I am not going there
Even though the TV ads say look at what this person did in 3 mos of just using the stair stepper ten minutes wonder how much photo shop was used just be me and give 110% and put the spark tools to use and not just use the water glass.

HOW I am going WIN this plight? Of lost MO Jo #1. to remember short goals are important put them some place I will see them every day a grand plan is going to the gym every day for 1 hour not reasonable when its 100 degrees out side a reason able goal go to the gym 30 mins three days and go on my way home from Mass take a banana with me to have as my snack them breakfast when I get home.
#2. Want to complete this goal Monday Tuesday Wed and not talk my self into saying I do it latter the appt is set 8:30 Am
3 get up by 6Am so Racey and I are walking in the cool morning

4 water in each day
and tracker on
will up date Wed and add some new goals
like a spark friend told me once

A lot of small changes make a big difference so start now unknown

Persevere and you will win the prize. my thought for today as head towards my class reunion. It's been a rainy day here but Racey and I did get our walk in this morning . did a few things around the house on my to do list. cut some long pants and now have shorts and of course Chicken Fat is checked off my list sure hope my Chicken Fat takes a hike emoticon emoticon emoticon

My husband's class just had their 50th anniversary reunion but we didn't go, since my husband hadn't seen any of those 130 people since he left school. But, I did look up the web site where they had pictures and there were lots of them, so realize you will be in a LOT of pictures. That is a great reason to get the weight off before August. emoticon

I have been sparking along for several years and play the yo yo game very well loge it gain it back. struggling to get out and stay out of the 160 "S the good thing is I started at 195 and now bounce between 159 and 164 . i received my class reunion announcement this month. Its being held in Aug so this gives me time to get a few pounds off before the reunion. its our 45 th class reunion ! This week I say the new I phone ad and the chicken Fat songs . what memories it brought back of PE class !!! i could see us doing the work out in our red shorts !!! found it on the internet and book marked it so now i can do it a couple times a day. I have added some ball work and hand weights to it and starting out doing wall push ups . have made it a full week today ! thankful that the exercises are getting easier . the Dog thinks it great fun to watch me dance around the living room
thankful it gets easier each day
so will be anxious to see if I can get some of that Chicken Fat to go


 When you see a duck move with ease of grace across the pond remember it is because under the water his feet are moving like crazy
