Theresa you are doing great! emoticon Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat, but it takes up less room. As you build your muscles with exercise, things fit better, but the weight may stay the same or even increase because the muscle is more dense than fat.

emoticon for the input. Yes my clothes and rings are fitting better. So I know the exercise is doing something. I never thought about the heat and retaining fluid thank u for that thought. I also should be weighing and tracking foods but I haven't been. My main objective is being fit. I am doing that by exercising everyday.

Good for you!!! I've only been on here for 2 weeks... so I can't preach to the choir... but even before I started cleaning up my eating habits I was active 'most' days... now I'm striving for every day. I'm sure you already know this... but activity can sometimes mess with the numbers... I'll bet your clothes are fitting better as your muscles are getting stronger. Don't let the scale be your 'decider' on how your doing. Also.. not sure where you live... but I know that heat and humidity can make us retain water, so it's possible that's slowing down your scale as well.

Bottom line... I bet your feeling great for doing the extra activity... and that might just be the best part!

Today is Day 33 of my streak. I'm really doing this. Its been fun doing a little of something each day to get at least 10 mins of fitness in. Yesterday I had 61 min in today I'm hoping for the same. I've discovered for me its best I break it up. I take my 30+ min walk in the morning and then in the evening I do my bike ride. This way I can get both in and not exhaust me. I just wish the weight loss would start. I exercise everyday and the weight is not coming off. Its pissing me off. But I'm gonna emoticon bc emoticon . My team has blossomed and its real nice to have some chatting going on. It keeps me motivated and the energy flowing. Well catch ya later.

Today is August 12th and its Day 19 of my streak I did 36 mins of fitness today. I was really exhausted today and I really didn't want to exercise but I pushed myself as much as I could. This week is a really busy week. When I have appointments I get exhausted I guess its from the MS but 1 appointment will wipe me out for the entire day. Monday I had physical therapy and they worked my butt off I had sweat dripping off of me the entire 60 mins. Today was open house at the school we had to go and meet the new teacher. Tomorrow the Autism Research Center Trainer is coming and then Thursday my DH has an appointment that I have to take him to and while he is there I'm taking Matthew school shopping. Then Friday is first day of school and my last day of physical therapy unless the doc approves of extending my treatment. I sure hope he does bc I'm getting stronger but I'm not there yet. Well I think that is it for now.

While I'm here I might as well add a note.
Today is July 31 and its been a long time since my last post. I am now going to physical therapy bc the MS started weakening my legs and arms so I been doing the PT for 2 weeks now and also do the exercises at home every day. I can feel the difference in my muscles they're not there yet but getting there. Aug 15 is the last day that the doctor wrote the script for but the Physical Therapist requested till Oct. 15 bc my muscles were/are very weak. So we'll see if the doc approves for longer. My insurance has already approved it with PT. My ex husband just died at the age of 44 yesterday morning due to cancer. It was a shock to me I thought he was doing better. I was included in Sparkguy's 105 Day 10 min fitness blog which was an honor not expected. My weight has ballooned since my muscles wouldn't cooperate I'm up to 172.6 today. Trying to get back down to 142. Its really hard but I'm working it. I'm on Day 7 of my 10 min fitness streak today I did 82 mins. of exercise. I'm shooting for 50+ days. I guess thats all the highlights for now.

Well its been a long time since I've posted here. Today is Feb. 16, 2014. I am today at 154.8. I would like to lose about 15 lbs by Mothers Day May 11th 2014. This is my goal. I would like to be 140 lbs buy Mothers Day. emoticon I just gotta emoticon . 15 days ago was my emoticon and I've lost 26 lbs. was 30 lbs but the holidays I gained some back. I was having alot of trouble with my bowels due to my MS but I think I've got that problem straightened out. So I can do this now. I know i can. 15 lbs in 3 months seems doable. Keeping my fingers crossed.

well I been stressing for quite awhile. I've gained back several lbs just from the 1st of November. But the stress has been relieved and I'm feeling good again so I'm gonna work my tail off to get back down to 154 where i was on Nov. 1st. emoticon emoticon

Today is October 6th and I lost 4 oz. not enough to shake a stick at but it was a loss not a gain so finally going in the right direction. I'm at 157.6 now. Last night I was worn out from 2 trips to Walmart and the tobacco store. I was also bored, I was too tired to crochet and my son was watching a bunch of superhero cartoons on Netflix so I couldn't watch tv even though I don't do much of that to begin with but last night given the chance I would've, and I was too tired to read a book and my hubby was on the puter playing a game so instead of me getting on SP on my phone and instead of me eating out of boredom I went to bed at 8 pm. I slept all night till 4:45 this am.

Today is Oct. 5th. Its been awhile. Well I'm still struggling with stress eating. I did my 5 wks of the 5k walk program and didn't lose any weight bc of the stress eating and now I'm doing Leslie Sansone's October 30 day challenge to walk it off and I'm still stress eating.. I'm at 158.1 lbs and need to be dwn by Halloween at least 149 its looking like its not gonna happen. I'm gonna try to post everytime I want to stress eat about what is bothering me. I know its gonna be financial reasons most times and there is nothing I can do about it so IDK what to do except post and shout.

Today is Sept 23. I made it through yesterday which was the 1 yr day for Lorraine's death. I'm pretty upset with my self today. Yesterday morning I was down to 159.8 and this morning I was up 9 oz. to 160.7 so I'm upset with myself. I shouldn't have eaten those fries and tots last night at 9 pm. Well yesterday was day 1 for our Holiday Challenge and this is how I start it off. Not good at all. Gotta b strict with myself.

I'm down to 161.2 today yesterday was 161.4 and the day bfor was 161.2. I'm a yoyo. I will be till I get a handle on this IBS. I'm gonna have to try the activia yogurt bc I been takin Miralax and Dulcolax every day both of em and still a few days go by. Finally moved a little today so hopin for better numbers on the scale tomorrow. I've been doing an hour + of exercise every day since Sunday and tracking my food very well and still not seeing real results. I am thinking its the IBS so keeping fingers crossed the scale goes down a pound or 2 tomorrow. I will be doing my 2.5 mile walk on the treadmill this morning and later I'll do my daily fitness challenge exercises. Keeping my fingers crossed. Please God be with me.

Hello I have messed up. I was down to 158 now I'm back up to 163. Im not happy with myself. I'm very angry with myself. But and a big but I'm pushing on forward. I need to quit eating at night so late and its usually junk. I'm surprised I lost a pound this morning bc last night while being tired I ate yogurt, a bowl of cereal, and fudge poptarts. I think the only reason I lost was I finally after 4 days took a big #2. Well I am going to try to keep posting here to track my #2's and my eating habits.

Hello all. Its been a while since posting to my journal. I have lost weight, I'm down to 158.5 now and my goal is 140 so not too far to go now. I have created my own team called Daily Fitness Challenges Team and I've also joined the 5k walk program and my first 5k is the end of September so I am in training for that now. I am also the leader for Walking/Leslie Sansone Team now. I was leader for Partnership Accountability to the Finish Line but I quit to do my own team. I have also joined the Doing it with Multiple Sclerosis team. I have become friends with many here at SparkPeople. emoticon My MS has been flaring up again. I'm seeing my Neuro today. Hoping for a good outcome. No more Spinal Taps for me. No Way!

I'm feeling really good today. I did 105 min of exercise today. Cardio n strength. I'm not going by the nutrition tracker anymore n seems to b working better for me, I don't remember what ridiculous numbers it gave me to consume today but I know its saying I've got 400? To 700? More to consume. So for today I've had 1300? N I'm not taking in anymore, I've got a differential of 800 something so I know I should lose something. I'm hoping to lose something.

emoticon I weighed in at 168.9 today. I'm not very happy about it. I changed my trackers to the new ones so it changed my cal goal and I fell short of it by 27 cals and I gained 1.3 lb. I can only imagine if I had met it or went over it what I would've gained. So my lesson learned no matter what it says I'm not going over 1500 cals in a day. Prefer to stay around 1400. So if anyone reads this take my warning. I did it, I regret it, & won't do it again. I was on a role losing I was dwn to 164 and had only 20 lbs to go now I've got like 25 lbs to go. emoticon Theresa

Well I am 167.6 today. I'm loving it. I tried to post yesterday but my phone was messed up badly yesterday. Its a mini computer n it acts like it too. I had to clean it all out. It is acting better but not perfect. Nobody n nothing is perfect.

Well I did finally leave the 170's yesterday, I weighed in at 169.5. Today I didn't go backwards nor did I move forward. I guess I should b delighted I didn't go back. I am happy I didn't. I just wish I had lost some more this mornin. Yesterday I had done 46 min xercise. I didn't go over my allowed nutrition. I even changed up my workout instead of the 1mile WATP video I did the 2 mile WATP video. I'm wondering if mayb I should've taken in more cals than I did. Idk?

That 2lb gain yesterday was just a minor set back. emoticon I am so happy. I lost that 2lb gain. I am back at 171.7, so I'm hoping that the 160's r just around the corner. Keeping my fingers crossed. emoticon

Well I had a 2lb gain this mornin. I was not happy but I did it to myself by eating the pizza last night that my sister brought. If I could only have the power to say no when its in my face. But tonight I made myself proud. We went to Wal Mart n I wanted chocolate candy but did not buy any. I soon want to b out of the 170's I'm ready to c at least 169 or 168. That would make me so happy.

It seems like you're weighing every day, are you sure that's doing good and not harm? You just need a net loss over the week or even couple of weeks, and checking every day, your weight of course can vary by ounces-- Water weight alone changes how much you way drastically, and it also depends on salt consumption. Just something I noticed over your last few posts.

Beyond that, keep going! YOU CAN DO IT! You can lose weight in spite of the stress and better your health. :)

Well I am exhausted from 2 hrs n 10 min of exercise today. I gained .7 oz but I knew I was gonna gain from the big bowl of cereal last night bfor bed. I have a bad habit/addiction with crunchy cereal in cold milk. I need to stay away from the cereal at night.

Wow I am so relieved that my scales are not right. It tried to tell me I gained another 4 oz. I knew it couldn't b right I only allowed myself 1236 cals n I burned alot of cals yesterday by walking. So after I saw that I went n turned the wii on n put in my wii fit disc and got on my board n did a test. I had done the same test on Sunday. So from then till this morning I had actually lost 2.4 lbs.

Today I'm hoping for a good number in the morning. I have had only 1224 cals today n the walking I tracked today I burned 141 cals but I also walked to our town dollar general to get milk n bread I didn't track it bc I'm not sure how long or far it is. I think its a mile but I'm not sure but I know one thing its all down hill there but all up hill coming back. Also it was 83° outside n I was soak n wet with sweat it was dripping off me all the way home.

My weight is up n down. I was angry n confused this morning again
I got on the scale hoping for a loss n what I got was a 2 oz gain. All the exercise n sweating I did yesterday n I was within my Cal allowance. I don't understand y. The same thing happened when I got on the scale Monday morning after working n sweating hard on Sunday n being within my Cal range.

Well yesterday I had a gain on the scale. So I did a bunch of exercise 102 mins. - 1 hr. N 42 min to b exact. I burned 506 cals. I expected a big loss but I only lost 1.2 lbs.. I should b happy with that but it was a big disappointment. That is my life emoticon emoticon .

Yesterday I had to go get my 24 hr heart monitor on so I did no exercise. Today I did 1 mile on the treadmill in 20 min at 3 MPH. I have to wear this thing once a year N I am also gonna have to wear it again but for 30 days. Not looking forward to that at all.

Hm.... Have you tried post-workout snacks?

It might not be the reason, but sometimes, your blood sugar after working out can drop-- Even in non-diabetics. Try looking into some, and see if it works for you! Just a suggestion, I am by no means a doctor.

Well today did do some exercise. Exercise used to give me energy now I always have to take a 2 hour nap afterwards. I did the 25 mins on the treadmill around 9ish then at 1 I couldn't stay awake I had to nap till 3. I don't know y. It may b my MS or maybe stress or depression. I don't know. I wish I did know, I hate sleeping my days away.
