I post on antoher web site. I got some feedback from someone on that website saying that my posts make no sense at all. This person asked if I was a Troll, out there to get others reading those posts upset. that is not the case. I don't believe at all my posts are hurtful nor do I intend for them to be. that really hurt my feelings

you did not know you had to what??? not sure what you meant.

As to my asthma -- I had allergies as a child -- I started smoking at 17 and smoked for 25 years -- for 13 years I smoked 3 packs a day. I quit and so my lungs are now clear

I was born with asthma. I have had it all my life. Since coming to my faith in Christ i have not had a chute attack in years. Not a smoker. My health deteriorated when I became pregnant with my third child that much more. I was 37 when I had him. I did not know you had too.

then be patient and work with the job person. Now you can work on your goals while you look for work. Be positive. I know it is difficult with disabilities. I have asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure. I work around them. Some times my strength is limited. I do what I can. I can say that the BLC has kept me on my toes. I want to get healthier for myself and family. I have lose some weight so I know my body is able to do this. It is a matter of getting my mindset in the right place. Self take for me is a must. emoticon emoticonDo you eat out of boredom, or stress? Do you klnow your triggers/ I know mine

I am 61 years old -- I will be 62 in October. At this stage I am not willing to go back to school -- by the time I get done I would be 64 and that would be a waste.
I am just tired. I have this brain injury and this has gotten in my way of finding a job and keeping a job all my life. But it has been especially difficult this past year. at 61 there are all kinds of younger people out there that don't have this problem that get the jobs. This job placement person has some ideas for me. I just want to work so bad

qwynnie stop it! You are just fine. I know it is hard being out of work. I am a SAHM but i remember when I so desperately when I wanted a job before marrying. I did not let anything stop me and I found a couple. just before I married I got laid off. Lost my car. I got some jobs thur a temp agency after marrying. After getting married 9 months I got pregnant and having my baby I decided to go back to work. But one day I came home and found out that my baby had fell and nearly busted his teeth out at my MIL. I was steaming mad and told my hubbie that I was not going back to work and that I was taking care of my own kids. It has been a joy to see them grow into fine young men. My youngest son takes a lot of my time. I had planned to go back to work after my two oldest sons graduated But I got pregnant with my third child. now I am home caring for him. You said that the social worker is helping you? Seems like she should have some inside info. Could a do some volunteering in your field? could you be your own para legal helper? Shoot what do I know I am just rambling. Could you go back to school and learn a new trade? more rambling. I am at a stand still with my weight. I know I could be at weight goal if I pushed harder. But sometimes I am so tired.........I do real good at talking myself into things but I also do a good job of talking myself out of doing things too. We are more than a job, our weight. God said we are fearfully and wonderously made.

today I am feeling sorry for myself. I guess I am frustrated -- it's the same thing. I am so wanting to find a job, lose this weight and just get on with my life the way I want it. People tell me I am doing all the right things to find a job and yet I am having the hardest time. I just saw on the news that unemployment in Minnesota is at 3.9%. Yet it seems that I am unable to find a job. Is it my weight? My age? My experience is not a good fit?

I agree with you -- 100%. I don't like phony people. I don't like people who put others down. or shove stuff down my throat. I have a brain injury and I have suffered from depression -- and people do not get how hard life is when you have those two disabilities. But the couple I mention below -- well--they are a story in and of them selves

I do not mind people coming over but they should know how to act. I despise folk that bragg. It just shows that they are very insecure about themselves or their lives situations. I have nothing to prove to anyone on either they take me as I am or they can bounce. HEHEHEHE. I do not pretend. What you see is what you get. Besides people coming my house will have to deal with our special son. If they do not like him as he is. They CAN again bounce. I am up on my scale is it is time for me to retool again. I am attempting to go meatless some days. Not quite know to adapt just yet,.

Girl I am sorry and I hope it was not too bad. you did good on the fourth. ME not so. This week past challenge was sucky for me. My net did not work for a couple days. I am fine tuning and have start to exercise again. I can relate to not wanting to be around certain people. I had this experience a couple weeks ago. My hubbie had a good idea...he thought.....my son class mate came to the house with his grandmother. We kind of shared our experience about our special kids. Well she kept bragging oh him...what he could do. I mean our kids are at different stages with there disabilities. She worked my nerves so bad...when they left I was relieved. I told my hubbie to clear things thur me if he invite anyone else that is not our family. emoticon i men some folk can not except that there kids are special. I have long got over that fact. WHEW never again will she come bragging. It may be a better idea to meet some where else. But if she starts bragging I will find an excuse to leave. ROFLMBO.

for the 4th, hubby and I went to a friend's house to chat, and eat. this was different. for the past 12 years we have been going to the same park with a group of people that he has known for probably 30 years. It is a nice get together with those people, but I do not like his best friend's wife and his best friend really irritates me for many reasons. I just want to avoid this married couple as best as I can.
I ate 1425 calories yesterday--that is within my guidelines but I want to keep my calorie intake no more than 1300 calories per day

I have started writing down my goals. What I have established is this: current weight is 222 pounds--goal weight 120 pounds. My goal is to weigh 120 by 12/27/2016 -- that is a 1-1/2 years from now. I can do this. I am planning losing the weight in 10 pound increments, I will put $1 in a jar for each pound I lose -- and when I reach my goal weight and keep it off for 6 weeks (this is what Weight Watchers requires to become life time) I will purchase myself a present with the money I have saved.

this week I was up .20 of a pound at WW. Yesterday at gym i was up .20 as well. the scale at gym and scale at WW are about 1 pound apart -- but I am up and down equally. Today at gym I was up .50 from yesterday. don't get it.

Yesterday was good but no exercises. Food was pretty good but I had a low with my meds and then I got horrible heart burn that did not leave until this morning. emoticon today as good and cals nearly just under the radar. Exercised today.

Itís simple: Picture in your mind the object of your desire (whether itís a situation, an event, or an image of yourself) as vividly as possible. Spend time concentrating on the image of wish fulfillment, truly believing in it as if it were already real. Be detailed and comprehensive, and be sure to include your emotional well-being in this vision as well.
The reason visualization works is that your brain canít tell the difference between a real event and an imagined one; so by using your imagination, you can create positive experiences that improve your self-image and your skills, help you release worry, realize your goals, and so onóthe possibilities are endless.

You can now create an image of your body that fits your genetic type and potential. It must be a vision that you can believe, not one that will be out of reach.

Twelve Points On Attitude
1. It is your attitude at the beginning of a task more than anything else that will determine your success or failure.
2. It is your attitude towards life that will determine life's attitude towards you. Despite many people's belief to the contrary, life plays no favorites.
3. You control your attitude. If you are negative it is because you have decided to be negative and not because of other people or circumstances.
4. Act as if you have a good attitude. Remember actions trigger feelings just as feelings trigger actions.
5. Before a person can achieve the kind of results he wants, he must first become that person. He must then think, walk, talk, act and conduct himself in all of his affairs, as would the person he wishes to become.
6. Treat everybody as the most important person in the world.
7. Attitudes are based on assumptions. In order to change attitudes one must first change one's assumptions.
8. Develop the attitude that there are more reasons why you should succeed than reasons why you should fail.
9. When you are faced with a problem, adopt the attitude that you can and will solve it.
10. We become what we think about. Control your thoughts and you will control your life.
11. Radiate the attitude of confidence, of well being, of a person who knows where he is going. You will then find good things happening to you right away.
12. In order to develop a good attitude, take charge first thing in the morning. Do you say, "Good morning, Lord" or "Good Lord, morning?"

Here are my goals starting today.
1) tracking all my food honestly.
2) continue exercising 6 days per week -- 40 minutes perday
3) keep posting on this message board.
4) my daily nutritional goals are as follows (given to me by a nutritionist.:

a) 1200 - 1400 calories per day
b) 30 fat grams
c) 64 oz water
d) 150 carbs
e) 30 fiber grams

you are so correct -- I am still on Spark people. I still make it to my gym 6 days a week -- I wake up at 4:00 am (yes that is 4 in the morning) and I am at the gym by 5:30 in the morning (yes you are reading that correctly) and I exercise 40 minutes a day, six days a week.

Yesterday I started writing down on paper with pen my weight loss goals. I will finish that today and post them on my accountability journal

yes yes I agree. there is a Chinese saying -- it does not matter how slow you go, as long as you don't give up.

I started sparks when you had to pay -- yes you had to pay i think $11 a year. that was about 2002. Thats how long I have been here

gwynnie stop beating yourself up. You can do this!!! One day at a time is all we can do. My scale says I am down a pound or two down. Have you noticed that I have been at spark since 2006? emoticon It does not matter how long the journey is. What matters is that you Keep going. hey think about your former boss and office...wouldn't you love to see how they react if they saw you at weight goal? I often think of think of situations or things folks said to me that were not true and make them eat it when they see me now. I have lost weight and some have noticed it. Don't give up now. It is too bad that ww does not do more...they certainly get enough monies.

well yesterday went pretty good. I had a strong urge to eat extra after dinner but I did not. I had to keep reminding myself. Hubbie wants to go out and eat so I am hoping after dinner I will be ok. I do not like going out to eat usually but it is Fathers day and he want to go out. At least I do not have to cook in this heat. That is a good thing. Onward tomorrow.

I don't even know how much I weighed when I started losing weight. However, I know I was at 240 and that is what got me started on losing. However, I got down to about 202 and then I found myself out of work and started gaining the weight back.

I kept 1 pair of jeans only -- just to remind me. LIke those photos in magazines that you see of someone in a pair of jeans to demonstrate how much they have lost

oh wow. I gave all my bigger clothes away. So can not gain a hugh amount of weight. As far as my pictures of my bigger..the only one I look at is the one which I was in my moms wedding. I was beautiful- bigger but still beautiful. I have two of which I was at 205 I have them tucked away and I rarely look at them. Those were some harder times. With each pregnancy I gained weight. But with my first I weighted only 8 pounds more than I started after giving birth. Before giving birth I weighted 150. At my second I weighted 178, and at my last birth 205 was it. Now after graduating from high school I weighted 135. I'd be at a healthier weight at 145.

I know I can lose weight as well. I have photos of myself at a much heavier weight than I am now as proof. I have a pair of jeans that are a larger size in my closet as a reminder of what I used to weigh. I carry my fat photos with me in my purse to remind me what I used to look like.

me too. I know I can do this. But I have to have a higher power to help me out. After if I could do this on my own I would not be here. I can see by my scale sig that I can lose weight. I have to be patient with myself. I know that I will have stresses in my life. Exercise is easy unless I lose my mojo on both fronts exercise and food. I remember in the beginning exercise came as easy as breathing. But I have learned that if I ever stop both fronts suffer. I have already had my brunch. 2 egg whites with tomato,onions and olives. I love bread my down fall. emoticon So I have found a new bread for me with flax and sunflower (less salt) 10 grapes and an half orange. I am drinking green tea... which I love. I have to plan the rest of what I will have today. emoticon.

I have been here over 5 years so I am without excuse. Except I am full of them. ROFL but seriously It is time to reach my goals. I know I can do this. It is just a matter of staying focused. Life is full of distractions. I have got to learn to roll with the punches so to speak. God has never let me down nor my family. I have got to trust him more. Most of my stress comes from caring for my family and then the other comes from the bunk I have to deal with concerning my sons benefits etc. The enemy knows where to hit us....our families.
