@Jes and Murray, thank you for stopping by, I feel elated.

A busy day for me at work today, so many climbing and walking. I packed my lunch and DH's today and it really helped me, now I am comfortably missing my Dinner without feeling hungry in any way. I hope to get to the gym as early as possible tomorrow to register and get myself ready. Let the fitness minutes roooooooollllll in?

Thanks I going to.. My husband even had to listen to my pity party the other night.. But when I went in to but my pj's on I notice a different in my stomach so I got the lovely tape measure out and did some measuring then I came back out and said sorry and thanks for listening . then I did a happy dance LOL

No workout yet, but I can feel this week will be quite busy for me. I should be starting my membership at the gym latest by Wednesday. God help me.

On the issue of the purchase of a fitbit, I think I would rather prefer this BODYMEDIA FIT, it would measure my calories and my heart rate and some more and not my steps, am not really sure I want to measure that, I walk a lot. So what I need is the calorie am burning doing all what am doing.

I need to know what deficit I have for running my normal daily routine activities.

I am not proud of this but somehow, my whole eating for today is just processed meals. I have the opportunity to change my ways tomorrow.

My goals for this week still remain the same as that of last week, No Dinner and more to visit the gym at least 3 times this week.

I forgot my phone in the house yesterday, so I could not post in anything. Today is a good day and I hope to make some batch cooking for a healthy week. Today is my weigh in and I did weigh in at 168.6lbs, that is quite good considering there was less episodes of overeating this week. I did not workout as expected because I did not go to the gym at any time, but I was so conscious of my meals and it worked. Despite TOM this week, my weight still came down, I know I can do it.

This brings me to that fact that, diet is 80% of weight loss and I am determined to work with it this year, God helping me through. I will still try to continue my NO Dinner streak, I hope to do it well this coming week. Gym membership should be renewed this coming week too, I hope I am buoyant enough to do that.

I also wish to work with my Sparksavings account this week, I am gradually losing focus of my financial goals.

@Janer thans for the comment. I am trying my best.

I have been feeling a bit weak for a few days now, my morale a little bit on the low side. But all in all I am trying my best to stay slim. Though I am not consistent with working out as much as I desired, my diet is seriously on my mind. I stay as low as I can be daily and that is what characterized this week for me. My major goal this week was a NO DINNER 7 days streak, but I only did 2 days, however I was conscious of what goes into my mouth after 5pm daily just so I will not go over my limit.

I will continue trying my best because I know I will get sooner than expected.

A long walk today and I loved it.

I have been making some very smart choices about my meals throughout the day, I will be having dinner tonight, I really hope not to overdo it. I actually filled myself with fibers today and trust me it had been so helpful

emoticon It is good to know I made it into a new week. It is God's mercies that we are not consumed (it is all I can say for now)

Yesterday I made a determination into getting my diet into a new level and today I have made a 2 day streak already. emoticon

My new plan is to emoticon miss dinner for a week (ding dong, alarm on Sparkpeople right now), I know the rules are against it right here but I need to do it, it is the only way right now that I can keep my calorie intake down and within limits always without going hungry the most part of the day.

You could ask why, Yes it is because the majority of the foods available to me are starchy (those are the staple foods here), so I need to try this and if after 7 days it works then, I might stick with it.

I also noticed that dinner is my bane, it is mostly where my extra calories comes for the day, so doing without it will help me a lot. If it is actually my bane, then doing without it is a form of fasting, (so I can say that is my own type of fasting).

Finally the challenge of today in Motivation and Consistency is about controlling your intake by dinner time either by being conscious of any food after 7pm or controlling after-dinner eating.

Run/walk 5 miles on the Treadmill = Nil
Step 3 miles on the Cross Trainer = 13 miles
Ride 2 miles on the Stationary Bike = 15 mins

Above is my result for the week and I am happy with my efforts, although I could not get myself to run or walk using the TM, I had a lot going on so much that if I recorded my steps I am sure I would have met my goals logging my walk.

Tomorrow another week starts and we go from there. I weighed in this morning at exactly 170lbs, an increase of 2lbs I am not happy with that at all. I think I had more events of overeating during the week and I think it is what is responsible for it. I will def watch it this week and I will watch my weigh ins too.

I just joined a new program introduced by SP, the Sparkcoach Motivation & Consistency. I am loving the lessons and much more the daily challenges. The challenge yesterday was to look for ways to move more and I did. For today it is going to be planning my tomorrow meals tonight before bed. I was asked to blog it out but I'd rather write them down in my journal here.

Though I have a meal time table, I will want to improve on it and be sure to work with it anytime soon. I think it is a good idea to plan meals ahead, I see it as a money/time saver because you buy everything in advance and store them, if possible do a batch cooking and freeze them. Only to warm whenever needed. I will definitely give this a try when I have money on me.

I am supposed to start aerobics class tomorrow (took me ages to make up my mind to do that), but right now it looks as if I would not be starting again tomorrow because there is a State environmental exercise tomorrow and its a strict exercise punishable by law if not adhered too. This implies that I will have to be starting coming week and improvise with a workout video tomorrow.

I am doing well at the gym, just finished for the day now. I enjoyed every bit of my stay there. I am sure by now I have exceeded my mileage goals for the week. Report will flow in by Saturday night.

I realized one wonderful thing in my efforts to be consistent, the thing is when you work out well you will not want to spoil it with bad food choices. I noticed that I tried to eat healthy although I was almost exceeding my caloric limit, they are mostly good choices. When I however overeat anything, I track the meals so far so that I know when to stop.

I CAN DO IT.

A great day at the gym today. A hectic day at work today. A nasty headache at home. Took some over the counter drugs and am getting really better right now.

I have started well and I know I will end well.

Bad News: My most beloved trainer at the gym had just been posted into another department of the company and I will not have the opportunity of her services at the gym anymore (at least for now). She feels she was conspired against for that re-posting, whatever I know I will really miss her. She had been an inspiration to me in this past year and I will not forget her in a hurry.

...and the weekend ends, I feel right now that I did not rest very well the past two day. I love sleeping my weekends away after I am done with my routine of taking care of the house, laundry etc. But yesterday met me in church and from there followed DH to see customers and ended with the odd job guy messing the whole day for me.

I am sure ready for this week right now and I know it will be a testimony to me on Friday. I pray for strength and ability to weather every storm that crosses my path and go with my life.

As I have planned, my runs starts this week and maybe a few minutes on the elliptical trainer. So my goals for this week is to:

Run/walk 5 miles on the Treadmill
Step 3 miles on the Cross Trainer
Ride 2 miles on the Stationary Bike

I can do it and I will do it.

Today had been a quite exciting and stressful day for me. I was in the church early in the morning to take care of the church premises, it was one of the activities needed to be done as a work of humility/service during our Sunday School Service in church. It was exciting working around the premises and also a way to log in minutes of fitness. I really broke a sweat, it was about dusting, picking, raking leaves, burning and sweeping. (I just logged 45 mins for the total number of minutes, I was working. But we were there for more than 2 hours.

The stressful part is an artisan that wanted to frustrate me this evening, he was to fix something in our new home (we will soon be homeowners), I was stressed and angry but putting it into writing alone is giving me a lot of relief.

This week is going to be a no-nonsense week for me, I am starting with the gym this week, I will be going in the mornings (probably 3 times a week) and I hope to break every plateau that maybe holding me since last year, or every dangling between gains and losses.

@ Melafayia Try starting jump rope today, you will be happy you did.

I still cannot get my workouts in till now, although I am moving as much as I can but I am not exercising and that is quite important. I think bloating is coming down and I know by my next weigh in I will be where I was at the least.

I wanted to walk today but alas, my shoes were new and hurting me (my big toe). So I just did little walks as much as I as could. I am always better for it, I wish I had my fitbit already.

Talking about FitBit, as much as I wished its with me already for Xmas, I decided to postpone it till New Year and then came the FitBit Flex, I am still studying it and trying to decide if it will be better than One. They are the same price but am sure not to loose Flex and it can only be pre-ordered right now. I am still confused and so indecisive.

I wish to start with the gym tomorrow, all things being equal I am a little bored with my home gym right now.

Just skimmed through your "journal" - you are doing great, by the looks of it! I can't imagine doing 461 jump rope moves! Of course, I haven't tried jr in a few years, but I know it's incredibly demanding!

What is the "mini shred" you referred to?

Today was another good day with healthy choices, measured my meals but eventually overboard. Met my water goals, and decided today to go to the gym on Friday. Running starts for me this year (good time to start too). Meanwhile my mini shred is still on and I am finishing it no matter what comes my way.

My scale had been down, so sad. Battery was low and it took a day or two before fixing it, I did not really miss it, since I do my thing just once a week. I fixed it today and its ok, I will always need it.

Walked 3 miles with Leslie today and felt really good about. Weighed in yesterday and it was 1.6lbs higher, I feel its TOM. I am making the best choices this new week, let us see what comes out of it.

Today is a much better day because I decided it would be. One of the ways I used to lighten myself up was with a bright wine coloured lipstick, I think it had a way of brightening my day and am glad for it.

Not much goals for the day but I tried to put in as much walk as I could, deliberately made some healthy choices and it made me happy.

Tomorrow is another great day and so much to do.

Today had been so gloomy and moody for me, meal became better this night.
I lost my appetite at noon and till I poured my heart out to someone ready to hear me, I was comfortable without the food. I knew that is starving somehow and I may overdo when I do eat eventually. I am feeling really better tonight.

I am not sure I can still log my minutes tonight for the 30DS but however it turns out, there is always another day to make up. I however had a good walk today too, outside my normal daily routine.

Already did dinner and nearly overdid it.

Somehow tiring a day for me, but I am doing well still. Right now there is so much to do in the house speaking about chores.

I had some issues at work today that has to do with some sorta promotion, I do not know what to feel about it because it seems quite unreal to me right now. But I can feel that it is God doing something very good to me right now. I am writing this because I think it is affecting my morale on the general note. I am so conscious not to overeat but logging in more workout minutes is not appealing to me at all. I think I will just make do with what I have right now and rest my pretty head.

I did it today, I just decided to get some mini goals in today and it was so surprising how attached I was to them till I got the goals in.

Today's adventure, I realized if ever I want to eat at the lower range of diet at any time, I have to either fast or take just fruits/veggies for the day. This is because my food in my world are mostly starchy and with very high calories such that even with moderation, you are still on the high side.

The only way out on days when am not fasting is to have so much vegetables/fibre (beans) added to my meals so I can be filled up without going gaga on my calories.

Today is another day for me, I am looking forward to healthy choices today. Walking at every opportunity and stretching after sitting for so long.

I intend going to get some shirts today, I threw two of the old ones away 2 weeks ago.

So goals for the day:
No food till evening. emoticon

Stretch or standing to walk after sitting for 30 minutes. emoticon

Get two shirts as reward for 6 days streak and 1lbs loss. emoticon

I woke up to use the bathroom this morning and I was inside for almost 30 minutes. My tummy was turning, achy and I was almost writhing in pains. I was there for 2 more times and then it stopped (actually feared food poisoning, not so!!!). Because of this I could not eat anything till around 2:30pm today. I feel really well now and strong enough to workout.

I decided to start using Leslie Sansone's DVD as part of my workout plan this week. I have the 1 mile and 2 mile walks, so since Jillian is high impact, I need something low to complement it so my numbers increase and I wish to seem desired results by the weekend.

My meals may not be as desired by SP this week because, there is fasting in Church (MIL's church) and I intend to be there 3 times this week.

I hope this week will be the best for us all.

Thanks Lily, its nice having you to come and check me out here. I doing my best to doing this everyday.

Yesterday was a quite emotional for me, right from work and then extended family stuff. I seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but God is my wisdom in 2013. I asked him for that wisdom that is first of all pure, holy and from heaven and I am sure to splurge in this throughout this year.

I did overate by just a little but I made sure not to miss my workout, despite I modified the cardio part, I was sure to run the full 27 minutes of 30 Day Shred. No jumps yesterday and prolly non today either. I just made my hair (braids) and they can be a little achy for me.

Good news, today is my weigh in day and I am down 1 pound i.e. at 168lbs. As I reset my goals for the year, I put for losing a pound a week, that is what is reasonable for me and I hope this is achievable by the stipulated time this year. I will do my best to be what I want to be.

Good morning neighbours. I feel light and strong this morning, and to say I am happy with myself is the least. I could not jump rope this morning because there is staff meeting and I must get to work earlier (its the first this year). The second thing is that I woke up to mopping my floors this morning. Our weather is called Harmattan here, and it can really be cold and dusty too (a sign of desert encroachment), so houses are terribly dusty even when dirts are not there. It was another chance to move my body because within the cleaning process I broke a sweat. WooHoo.

I look forward to a good day with every little chance taken to MOVE...

I did not sleep well today and if you ask me I know why. Whenever I workout close to bed time, my sleep is always affected. Well, I want better sleep but I need to workout at a time that is still most convenient for me. I believe my body will HAVE to adjust to it.

I know the rule of 7-8 hours or rest per night but it is not always achievable. I however promise to stick to that rule at least 3 days a week and that should be ok.

Today I also looked for an opportunity to slot a walk, I did not really see it as a workout but just a desire to MOVE. I had a reward for it, simply made me better for it.

On another note, one of the things I had been contemplating on is cleaning and organizing my house myself. Last year, I did engage the help of a cleaner that collects $6.25 fortnightly. I realized she does not clean the way I desire, so now I feel if I start doing this myself, it will be better for me. I will be moving, I will save more and I will sure will be better for it, or what do you think?

As stressed as I could be, its so nice logging some 25 minutes with Jillian. I just read about this 30DS "mini", instead of the boring 10 days each level, I do 5 days of each level, I think I should be able to stick with it.
