I jumped the gun on changing my weight on the weight tracker as I was down to 141.8 today sunday 146.8 after over indulging due ot stress eating

The 5% challenge is getting ready to gear up again this round I will be maintenance as I'm not so worried about the scale as I am working on reducing Body Fat and get in great cardio conditioning range is 142 as goal using the 3% range to stay in check (137.74 to 146.26 as range)

Oh my goodness I forget to update today I went ot park and jog 3.1 miles 42 minutes very humid but I made it before the rain started I was able tojog longer periods of time and walk short as well

I have my May goals set up and reviewed how I did in April this is review and new goals

Boy have missed 2 months worth of updates

This coming Saturday I am entered in my first 5K at Starkey park its Earth Day Relay for life I have been practicing Last week i ran the path we will be doing and did the 5K in 43 minutes not bad if I say os myself. I only started ot jog on the treadmill in January and only did 3 jogs outdoors so far.

I have been at a stand still until 2 weeks ago with my weight I lost 5.1 pounds in 2 weeks but this week good ole TOM decided ot visit me so I'm up and 1.5 pounds andits our last weigh in for 5% Casual travelers this week Ugh! emoticon and I was only 1.9 pounds away from making my 5% challenge weight emoticon I still have time ot turn things around.

Review time for team Amethyst : Not so good

1. Lower my Body Fat % 27.85% No stayed the same

2. Jog 2 miles in under 28 minutes A big YES as of tonight my pace is 13 minutes 47 seconds 27 minutes 34 seconds for 2 miles

3. Maintain with in range range of 137.74 to 146.26 Iwas okay with maintaining inrange until 1/23 but the whole challenge I gained

Now to ITC challenge #9 for casual travelers

2/13 : Current Weight: 149.2 pounds
Target Weight: 142 pounds (which is my original goal )
By When: April 20th, 2013

Goal to eat 1220 - 1570 calories per day
Goal to burn 1800 calories per week
Goal to go from 149.2 to 142 by 04/20/2013

Using the treadmill for 45 minutes & doing 30 minute circuit 4 times a week I should lose 7.5 pounds

But it is open to edit now I plan to burn 1200 a week

Finally found a site that will calculate my pace that I am jogging on the treadmill as of today pace was 14 minute 10 seconds level 2 incline highest was 2.2 speed 3.6 to 4.7 35 minutes 2.47 miles

Its a new year and I have my goal plan & action for 2013 I'm not focusing on the number on the scale this year 2013 is to tighten & tone and lose the body fat % and to get back my spiritual self

What do I mean I am concentrating going back to church yes the church I was baptized in as a baby the Roman Catholic church I have been attending mass since Christmas day at St James today I went ot ST Michael's as I had to go this afternoon. Purchased my missal for this year as I am lost at church this should help and reading the bible again

Changing my page again so here is what I had on my page


Update of all the challenges I am experiencing I am still with BLC (now BLC20) New team this round Golden Phoenix amazing group of women First go around with Leaves of Change Fall 2012 Amethyst BLC Team lower key challenge at the same time fun challenges meeting and making new connections.

Then there is the newest that has not officially started yet 2012 Fall 5% Challenge Community for me I thought this would be the best way to lose the remained of my weight using the 5% rule. I'm not sure what will happen but I am looking forward ot this new challenge anything ot push me forward.

Is it already the middle of September 2012 Already ? Fall chalelnges has started.

Second part of this life long journey has begun for me Back in May 2011 I reach my original goal weight. Plus side is I did maintain that weight for a YEAR, but with a change of Primary Care Doctor I have a new Target weight with new maintenance range. New target is 135 ( fully dressed) Range now is 130 to 140 will be in a healthy BMI range which is really more important to me then the pounds. Back in 2004 I was a whooping 208 pounds, I have lost around 61 pounds so far. I now have the tools and resources to make this a life time change. I was hoping this was the part of the journey that I concentrate on building muscles, but as I need to buckle down and lose between 15 to 20 more pounds.

The Doctor has her reasons for a lower body weight for me for one thing I have rheumatoid arthritis less weight is better on the joints Last primary care Doctor wasn't that interested in my well being just looking for something to be wrong with me and to send me for way too many test. As I do not take any medication for my rheumatoid arthritis weight control is very important , she gave me arthritis diet plan Pretty much I am already doing what is on her plan there is a list of foods to avoid which struck a cord with me as I already knew from experience they cause me to go into a flare big time.

My eating habits have change I now eat things I would only touch in my dreams - I still have a long way to go for improvement in this area.

I really enjoy and look forward to my work outs - whether its at the gym , or Zumba class, and or working out at home- I am sleeping better at nights for the most part - I enjoy more energy - I have less pain from my rheumatoid arthritis.

Making small changes do add up to big results. So far I have lost 29.33% of my body weight when all said and done it will be around 36.06% Slow & steady wins the race every time.

Now for the second and most important part of the journey to lose the rest of the weight then to go on to Third part which will tackling the body fat, tighten & tone up . My goal is to have Body fat % no higher then 25%. Onward & forward to tight sexy body.

Should have listed what my plan is to reduce stress this season

1. Listen to relaxing mediation music on my MP3 Player and carry it with me at work for breaks.

2. Make my daily to do list Plan ahead for my daily routine ( and yes place going ot the gym on my list at least 4 times a week)

3. Sleep get 6 to 7 hours of sleep nightly.

4. Read my scriptures daily.

So far good with relaxing music to do list sleep and reading my scriptures.

Today was the first weigh in for Winter 2013 Amethyst BLC Team proud to say down 7/10th of a pound Hey its a start made it to gym for a emoticon 2 days in a row hoping ot make it 3 in a row tomorrow.

So starting weight is 143.6 Last round I was so stressed by using the moving average I will still weigh in daily and log my weight into Hacker diet and google 15 but for the challenges this round I will be going with the actual weight scale says.

My starting measurement are as follows : 12/12
Chest (Bust) : 40
Bicep: 11.5 (midpoint)
Waist: 33 (1" above navel narrowest point)
Hips: 39
Thigh: 22 (Left) 23 ( Right)
Neck: 13.5

and TOM came for a visit I may be a little bloated from that emoticon

I skipped the 120 day accessment at Shapes in NOvember and decided not to do one until December 26th (Wednesday) that way I have my starting point for the new year

BLC20 is finished as is Casual travelers and team amethyst Winter 2013 Amethyst first weigh in is on the 12th 5% with the casual travelers still to be announced I a sitting out BLC21 did 4 rounds and I'm very burned out from it.

I also realized loved the idea of running average of weight but I do believe that caused me more stress then what it was worth once you had a gain for a few days it takes forever for your weight ot show a loss next challenge i will use weight on scale but I will still log in my weight daily on Hackers diet site.

I also went back to SP team @ maintenance to do the new challenge starting on the 18th. My plan is to at least maintain during xmas without a gain not going ot worry about losing just don't want ot gain.

Sunday I will head back to gym I might go tomorrow night after work just depends on how I feel need to get back into the routine again

Invite for New Year New You Winter 2013 Amethyst BLC Team first weigh in is Dec 12th to Feb 20th I'm going ot rock this challenge I am going to do my absolute best I will be toning and losing inches and hopefully lose a few pounds.

Haven't made up my mind if I will be doing BLC21 yet or not if I do I know I will be going back ot panthers as the weekend challenges onthat team are more suitable for me as someone who works and has to eat lunch & dinner at work I love the golden phoenix but the challenges for weekends don't work for me.

I will be heading back to casual travelers for sure nice challenges with no stress.

Weigh IN for BLC20 141.8 but moving average is 141.6

Tried something new at Planet fitness there REd light therapy which is low vibration fequency to tighten & tone body can help with inflammation of RA So we shall see what happens

Wow I see I haven't posted in a long while so let me do a quick update

I have had one blog posted since my last update on half way point on BLC20 Tune - Up Time Yup At The Half Way Point with BLC20

For a week now I have been busy with casual traveler spotlight member of the day

Since October 10th I have lost 1.9 pounds started at the new gym of Planet fitness

My new routine consist of Sunday & Wednesday Zumba At Shapes Fitness
Sunday Tuesday & Thursday 30 minute Circuit training and Monday & wednesday core work at planet fitness Not sure if Monday will be the always day but 2 days a week will be for core workout. Just need ot play things by ear for now

Last weigh in was at 141.4 pounds

Well I haven't been logging my weight in here lately

Weigh in for BLC I'm down on the scale 141.9 but my average is 143.3 so next week should be a really good weigh in

The newest challenge is going on great I have been asked if I would be a back up team leader I accepted its basically visiting team members pages as many as I can in a day and leaving comments when necessary seems easy enough so I have been dropping in on about 4 members a day

So I think I'm pretty much caught up here TNT was a awesome workout I can see why Madonna has those awesome guns emoticon

Invite to 5% fall challenge has arrived I am a Casual traveler

So here is what teh team is about

2012 Fall 5% Challenge Rules:

The weekly aims of the challenges are for you to:
1. Exercise
2. Do and develop the healthy lifestyle habit
3. Lose weight

Each week we will race to a new destination, work on a healthy lifestyle habit, and do a Saturday weigh in. We're also going to celebrate victories along the way... scale and non-scale (NSV) alike!

Here are some important definitions:

FRIDAY MIDNIGHT = Friday midnight in YOUR time zone. The time stamp must be 11:59 pm - if it reaches 12:00 am it counts as Saturday. Example: you exercise Friday night at 8 PM. You must record your exercise minutes before midnight - in YOUR time zone - for those minutes to be counted for the team.

LIVING THE GOOD LIFE (LTGL) = a healthy lifestyle habit, a new one will be added to our challenge each week. Example: you don't add any extra salt to your meal.

AIR MILES = Fitness Minutes. These can be walking, running, chair exercise, cleaning your house, strength training... if you're moving intentionally then you're exercising.

RULES:

Weekly challenges run from SATURDAY morning 12:00 AM until midnight the following Friday in the team member’s time zone.

The 3 parts of the challenge are equally important. Team’s standings are based on your teams combined ranking in each of the 3 parts – Air Miles, LTGL points and Weight Loss. 1st place = 10 points, 2nd place = 9 points, 3rd place = 8 points, etc. A perfect score would be Weight Loss = 10 points, LTGL = 10 points, and Air Miles = 10 points for a total perfect score of 30 points.

We are the Casual Travelers, so we are NOT racing!! Everyone do what they can and we will not worry as much about who gets there first. The important thing is that we are all working it together!!

To Clarify Midnight Friday as stated above is midnight between Friday and Saturday.

(Different person taking measurements today for me but at the same time of day)

Up 2/10 pound in weight emoticon I'm still pleased with my results showing my hard work is paying off!

Weekend Challenge 2 (BLC20) IT'S ABOUT THE FOOD!

•No Whites – Don’t eat any obvious white sugar or white flour. That means the usual cookies, cakes, candy, pies, sugared sodas, white breads & rolls . . . more than we can list here, but you know what they are.

•No Fast Food – If there is a drive up, stay away.

•Dump the Deep Fried Food – That means fries, potato chips, breaded fried chicken, tortilla chips at your favorite Mexican restaurant, hush puppies . . . you get the idea.

•Track all of your nutrition. Use the tracker on Spark, write it in your notebook, whatever works for you.

•Get at least 5 freggies daily.

•Get at least 20 min of intentional exercise. (Can’t have a weekend challenge without a little exercise.)

•Post on your chat thread or a blog at least one idea for controlling your nutritional intake, making meal planning easier, or eating cleaner.

This weeks FOCUS WEDNESDAY! challenge for BLC20 is :
Nutrition

1 Eat breakfast every day.
2 Plan/eat a healthy meal at least once a day this week (breakfast, lunch or dinner)
3 Drink at least 64oz of water daily.
4 Skip dining out/drive thru at least once this week.

I, 2 and 4 I will meet my goals with not much trouble or effort on my part things I have under control already

Now 3 On days I og to the gym I have no problem getting at least 8 cups of water Its Monday Friday and Saturday I run into the rough spot

For BLC20 we have TNT (Tighten N Tone) for Thursday (but we are able to do it on Wednesdays ) which is for a fitness test here are my results then in 6 weeks we get to do it all over again 2minutes each

TNT: 9/ 12

Push Ups: 50 (girlie kind knees bent)
Crunches: 45 (swiss ball)
Squats: 65 (squats are squats emoticon )

For "Focus Wednesday" late night snacking is my focus for the week - if I must have something it will be glass of water & piece of fruit those days I work nights last thing I will consume a protein drink I snack and munch way to much at night (after 8PM)

Finally a pledge I have taken today :

Today was first weigh in for Leaves of Change Fall 2012 Amethyst BLC Team along with measurements. As I have a monthly accessment which includes measurements at the gym thais what I am using for the challenge just easier to have help getting measured.

1st ITC (Inter Team Challenge) is to blog about what might be holding us back from reaching our goals for bonus to blog on which one we plan to work on for the next 10 weeks.

I will be trying something different for this challenge i will be using the moving average weight instead of actual weight on scale. As example today showed a 1 pound loss there is no way I really lost one pound overnight so I do feel the moving average will give me a better idea of how I am really doing.

Some might be offended but I can't help it really big obese people turn my stomach and I do have prejudices against them they are what keeps me motivated Really skinny people just don't motivate me!

Today once again I jump on the treadmill for a granny jog hey I'm really slow 3.2 to 3.8 speed on a level 2 setting turns out ot be about a 17 minute jog NOW that is SLOW!

Wasn't to sure if I would receive an invitation for Leaves of Change Fall BLC challenge or not but I did team Amethyst still waiting for 5% challenge invite

Doesn't seem like there will be any conflict between BLC20 and this one

Leaves of Change Fall Amethyst BLC team challenge will start on Sept 5th for the first weigh in and run until Nov 14th Theme is : CHANGE Requirements are weigh ins post cardio minutes & strength training minutes ITC ( Inter TEam Challenge) Bonus: Measurements on Sept 5th then on Nov 14th chat thread for us and games.

Week 1 ITC

Start by looking at things that might be holding you back from reaching your goals. Make a list of 5 things that might be holding you back or share 5 things that might have held you back in the past. You can do this privately, blog, journal or share it on your team in a thread.

Healthy Change Bonus: REFLECTING
Blog or journal about 1 thing that you are planning to work on this Fall Challenge. We will compare in Week 10 and see how far we have come.

Gives me time to reflect on my journey here then time to blog about it here and on my spark page.

Hit the gym today for some strength training and cardio tomorrow will have my accessment at the gym Sunday was the 30 day mark so I shall see how I did Can't say I did great I only had 15 cardio sessions in and 13 strength training sessions in so I am not very hopeful that I lost anything.

Cardio 3 to 4 times a week (including Zumba, Elliptical, Water Aerobics and yoga)

Strength training is Free Weights Sunday Tuesday and Thursday

Yes I have been here a million times before, after my self pity party for a couple of months I have my game plan / plan of action made I know how I will accomplish my goals.

A little background information before I get into the nitty gritty emoticon Back In May when I had a change in PCP (doctor) and who just totally and completely got into my head not in a good way either. She no longer has control over how I feel about myself. Partly do agree with the PCP that I do have to lose a few more pounds, so that being said I have a new goal weight of 130 to 135 (old was 140 to 145) I did get back up to 152 Okay it happens! Doesn't it?

I will be handling this at 5% challenge this way I shouldn't feel so over whelmed! (I'm hoping to get ot take part in the 5%challenge here on SP shortly) In the mean time BLC20 will be starting up around September 12th.

My biggest concerned still is my body fat % I have to much fat on this body! I want ot be a lean mean machineemoticon with a body fat % of 25 %.

New gym that I started with last month I'm using free weight to help build muscles added some other fitness class into the picture Yoga emoticonwant to become a human pretzel emoticon and water aerobics emoticon

October Planet fitness will be opening they have later hours at there gym so when I can't get to the main gym I will hit the other
