Wow, what an amazing last 10 months I have had. And by amazing, I mean hellish. But hey, I'm alive and still on my journey. So from where I left off, I was at 168 lbs weight wise. I am still at about the same(168-170lbs) weighed last week. I was way less due to stress but for once was happy to have gained some weight. I did complete my c25k with my buddy, had minor surgery and then didn't run a race this year yet due to circumstances but I am hoping to get in some training for the scotia 5k and possibly a 10k--we'll see.
Still pushing, still on it, hoping for the best.
Measurements today:
SW:170lbs
GW: 150lbs
Goal Event: scotia 10k in October
Waist: 37inches
Hips: 39.5inches
Arms: 12inches
Chest: 36.5

So I stuck it out with my "buddy" so far-it's week 8 and then there's only 1 week left and now I am down 10lbs of my current 30-all in all this year I lost 18 lbs-oh yeah!!! That was 10% of my body weight. Now I keep going to hit goal-which was 40 in total only a lil over half to go-YUSSSS!!!

So my workout has gone to the dogs! I had a great rhythm going I was working out 5-6 times per week, feeling great. No wI have a workout buddy,which I asked for, not a pleasure it turns out like most things I do exercise better on my own-can't wait for the first week of October to be back to my regular schedule-ughhhh!!!
On a brighter note, not giving up, will be pushing into september to lose the weight-I've plateaued for months now-time to get it moving!

This scale. I swear as soon as I have a scale around I am an emotional wreck. I have been weighing numerous times per day and each time just depresses me more and more. UGhhhhhh why did I not wait till the end of the month to get the scale.

Week 1 of the ab challenge went well-did 4/5 days-missed Saturday-was sad about weight not lost-finishe sunday with the rest of the ab challenge and a desire to curb the meals more-time to do this-add in some juice-this is the theme this week-as much fruits and veggies and water as my body can stand.(way less carbs)
This week I am also going to add in yoga after my morning workouts -aiming for consistency in this area-waking and breaking a sweat.
This has still been a great week, I had confidence and was grounded. Looking forward to continuing this journey and the fun uplifting feelings behind it:)
I must admit I am enjoying this part of my life, all the tweeking, goal setting and resetting and gains and losses.

I am so inspired by a documentary I watched this morning on Gaiamtv.com about life and longevity-it made me realize that until I start enjoying the journey I have not yet begun to live.
And that I'd like to live my older years in okinawa Japan :)

It seems the trend these days is any change is bad news that sends people running (well crawling lazily ) for the hills-thing is I'm finally doing me and if that means a loss of family, friends whatever else-no matter-I'll have me.
Good morning flks,
It's going to be a great day -started off with yoga, meditation and breakfast-planning on 10 mins for every hr I sit at work-which should give me over an hr easily-oh yeah!! Waer's good, now just to get the food sorted properly.

Great day overall yesterday, now time to rinse and repeat-have a great one y'all.

So far water and food are going exceptionally well-except I messed around and missed first snack, but all together going close to plan.

Joined the lose 10lbs in August thread and will be adding in the absotightely challenge for waist management.

Did Crunch burn and firm and still hoping to add a bit more, maybe stretch ? Not sure will see, I might need a lil more cardio cause this was light:)

Today is starting out rather well. I made the commitment and did some outdoor exercise with a new workout buddy-not the person I thought initially but definitely someone I can spent time getting healthy with. We have decided to do 3 days per week-walk/jogging: Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays-6 am -just like i asked for-lol.
Thank you Divine one for letting me know I am not alone.

I am grateful to God that in my self I am enough, because making life changes can be awfully lonely, even in this environment where people are supposed to be supportive. Never the less I got here by myself and I will get out by myself.
I have determined that no matter what I am going to be 145lb by the next 90 days, I am hoping it's not more than 30lbs I have to lose but i could be wrong. Today I am grabbing a battery for my scale and I will be vlogging or possibly blogging about how I finally made the decision and changed my life in 90 days. May God help me becasue consistency is not my strong suite, so here goes ....I will buy food today and prep for the entire weekend to ensure I can win at this tug of war.

Today I am frustrated with myself and this weight loss process. I just stopped 40 minutes into my 1 hr cardio because I'm tired of hearing how much I'm entering the God damned fat burning zone. For the past 2 years and even before that I have been working out to the point of injury just to lose 10-20 lbs and be a little healthier. In the process of attempting to lose 10-20 lbs I have gained an extra 10 -20 and now I am no where closer to my goal. Even though I have been working out all week, my eating was so bad-we are yet again doing construction ourselves in our house(the first time wasn't painful enough-clearly) and so hubby brought groceries-despite me insisting I wanted to eat clean. There are things like cookies-the chewy kind, farmer's sausages, french fries, shrimp, pastry and oh yeah-whey protein-because that's probably what I should eat the whole time-ugh! I do love my husband and he does accept me as I am but for pete's sake stop bringing me the foods that I am weak to-last week it was chips(plantain and cassava-spicy cassava- emoticon
I am frustrated even more so because I did a comparisson of my pics last year this time and now and they are exactly the same-:(
I am just tired of losing and gaining the same 5 lb. I know what I need to do, I pray about it and I start out well but I just get nowhere and I have been for the longest time. Today I feel like just giving up, life would be so much simpler-yes I am fat, no I am not hungry or insecure and yes I would definitely like to go to a buffet.

Met with a friend yesterday for a spa date. We need to help each other-she is struggling just like me. She looks great( like me) but wants to look even better-she's had weight issues all her life-I haven't. I know she works out-she'd be great to go workingout with-hmmmm do I sense a workout buddy in the making?

Stopping by to say things are looking great. I have a feeling deep inside my gut-it's called muscle flexion-I can feel the fibres tightening making my core stronger. Maybe next month I can start running again-Oh yeah!!!

While there has been little change food wise, I've been noticing a very distressing thing-I do not eat enough-then get hungry at night and want to eat anything at 12 am-not okay!!!
So had brekkie this am, did yoga and meditation.
Will be doing Jillian Michaels and my fave walk the pounds away!!

Righty oh! So my challenge seems to be practing the lifestyle I want to lead consistently. So I have designed a lifestyle challenge for myself-which means I will eat, exercise, sleep, and do daily what I would love my life to look like in the future- only I'm doing now:) Genius isn't it-lol
This lifestyle challenge means:
Wake earlier-7am to start-move to 6am later(now I do 8 so the transition should be good)
Do yoga, then meditation, then 30 mins walk away the pounds-drink 1l water here
protein shake/ juicer juice +coffee
start writing-spend 2-3 hrs writing
Hs with the kiddos-3-4 hrs here
dinner prep and chores
write for another 2-3 hrs
relax and bath/ read
bed time: by 12pm
Sounds like a plan

Ok woah,
Where am I now. Spent the last 2 weeks chasing a job- I didn't get-lol but kept working out regardless. It turns out my ideal amount of workout days is 4-go figure. So I have been tracking my trends-not as well here as I'd like but I notice that I usually do 2 days of strength(always with the intent to do more- emoticon ) And then 3 days of cardio(usually mixed in with the strength days). I am loving the walk away the pounds series-I have been doing them for more than a month with zero injuries, and spliced in is Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred or ripped in 30-like the shred better :)
So I might weigh in this month-at the end to see where I am weight wise and measurement-hoping to be in the high to mid 160's- fingers xed

No yoga this morning-busy, busy, now to meditate . Had brekkie, need to do lunch/din split.
Today's workout-walk/jog 5 miles will do before 2pm.

Another day going well. Positive affirmations keeping me strong. So far I have done 15 mins yoga, meditation, 3 mile walk with weights and 60 squats. Later maybe Ripped in 30 wiht J. Michaels. Foodwise it's good-about to have lunch-plus had 5 cups water-this is going weellll

Brand new day,
Time enough to do somethings that are going to pay off. I can feel my body changing and I am glad to not be chained to a scale like I usually do to myself. Looking at my medium yoga pants swimming on me tells me I'm doing it-hope it's showing for you guys as well.

Back in business today, started the day with water, yoga and meditation. Lite school for the kiddies today-the kind I like-summer program. Kinda concerned about money-needing a better job-remote work can be awfully stingy money wise.
Keeping lite today,no matter.
It's monday, fresh start day and I am looking forward to my attempts at eating as clean as possible this week-Lord help me.

Oh exercise what would I do without you. I find these days I am so stressed sometimes I feel like a ticking time bomb. Another week completed almost -have been working out consistently now to add in the cleanest eating I have ever done to get my gut in check. This new week starts the 24 day eat clean plan.
Sunday July 7-July 31.
Plan:
No junk, take out or sweets(including juice, alcohol and candy) will allow 1 tbsp sugar for coffee daily.
8 cups water
145-160 g protein
70-85 g carbohydrate(eaten only after exercise)
eat every 3 hrs(9am, 12pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm)
5-9 servings of mostly veg and some fruit
2 daily supplements
Well this is the plan here's to hoping I can muster up enough consistency to stick it. Pray for me will you.

Yesterday was a success for the most part-I ate 1600+ calories and worked out for 1 hour doing walk and tone and pilates. My aim is to lose 2.5 inches off my waist and other body part at the end of July. Without over doing the workout to cause myself injury. My number one nemesis in this journey

So last month was spent doing walk away the pounds and I know it works because I am now a medium heading to small/medium mix. My belly is my biggest problem and then my arms so my focus this month is absolutely flat abs and then next I will move to my arms, then my butt. I don't know my weight cause I tossed my scale so we'll see at the end of august.
As per the daily check in I will try to start that up again-after all it is calle d consistency plus-lol

Day 1 update:
Got through the planned exercise and eating, got some rest, got hubby on board.

Plan for today: 30 mins walk, 30 mins yoga,60 mins plyometrics.
Food:
Bfast:1.5 empanadas+ coffee with 1/4 cup milk
snack: fruit
lunch: 1 quail, 1 baked potato, 1 cup salad
snack: salad with nuts
Dinner: baked chicken, salad-1 cup, roasted veggies(squash , beets, brussel sprouts)
Snack: oatmeal, almond punch-post workout
Later peeps, off to get in a walk/ yoga before the next lesson...

So hello again,
I have decided to start with myself the ultimate mind body challenge. Seeing that exercise has become second nature, I want to use it to now create a deeper connection and to retrain my mind for success in all things.
I am going to start a 90 day, exercise, healthy eating, meditation, mind conditioning through visualization and affirmations.
I will be keeping track here and hopefully can post the results I am looking for.
My goal is to complete the full p90x training, walk 5 days a week and run 2, plus eat and track my meals,spend 1 hour each day focused only on achieving success. And drinking tons of water.
May 13-August 13, 2013.
I will not be weighing, but I am going to say my starting weight is 180 and I want to be at 150, plus I want to start and create an income of $3000 from my spa business and be able to meditate for 30 minutes, while being able to run for 45 minutes straight-non stop. Those are my goals at the end of 3 months. Wish me luck!!

I've been away too long.
So here's what's been up:
I have been managing my bp-doc says it's a lil high but can be changed by lifestyle-my kinda cat.
I have maintained running for the last month(except for 1 week in which I injured my knee) and I am seeing great progress-I run almost 5 days a week now-something I didn't have the mental fortitude to do before. I also have added on nightly yoga, which really helps me sleep. I am back on the CLA, green tea, vitamin combo and will be doing that twice a day for a month. And I am still practicing mostly raw(not always 51 % but working to maintain that.) I have made some changes in my schedule, which makes it easier for me to accomplish alot on my endless to do list-this makes my stress level lower.
I have not been weighing or measuring myself, simply trusting that my hard work is paying off. And will continue to once I am tenacious.
I have a race (5k) tomorrow which I will be running with the whole family.
That in a nutshell is my update for last month...

Hey all it's day 3 phase 4 and I'm still at it. Had a bit of a scare with high bp lately but I've been proactive-woah!
So far this week I've taken out coffee, added in 51% raw food with all meals and not eating after dinner.
So far so good...

Alright update:
So phase 2 is done, I missed one day work out(Saturday) due to Family emerge. But I was back on on Sunday. And Today started off Phase 3-going well so far-ate beast, took my vitamins, on to my 2nd cup of water(need to push that) And starting p90x today-yeah!!
As for meal tracking-need groceries then I will ensure to check all 6 if I can manage to get in that much. Weight still in the high 170s and I so need it to change-well it's now time:)

Well today is day 5 in phase 2 of the challenge. I had not enough water yesterday, as I was running around, but I got my 45 minutes workout and no alcohol. I also haven't been getting enough sleep so I believe I need to address these things in my next phase.
I learned in a master class the other day that the things we kee promising ourselves that are not happening right awa activates self doubt so stop saying them and promising myself until I am ready. I feel that way about smoking, i have attempted numerous times but been unsuccessful and it is really messing with my self trust.
So no more.

Alright phase 2-
So far today I have meditated for 15 mins, yoga-ed for 15 minutes-lol, eaten breakfast(fried breadfruit and cod with avocado) water and coffee and I am looking forward to my walk/run-also going to start training the kids for their 5k this week too-yay!
So today I started off with just the right stuff-now time to see if it will hold through out the day.
8pm Update: So I have completed my exercise(might still do stretch x tonight as I feel a lil tight) But I did my 10:30 minutes run @ 5.5 which gave me a mile, and I dis my 40 minute walk.
I had 2 juice(2 cups of fresh juiced celery, carrots, beets, apple, ginger and radishes) plus 2 meals so far-I will have my last meal a 1/2 pb and j sandwich with a large cup of tea before bed-oh I divided my dinner into 2 so I could have the rest for breakfast. I'm up to 6 cups of water so I need another 2 at least to catch up with the day-none too shabby I feel great!

Today is day seven Phase 1 of 4 done! Yay Me--)
So now on to phase 2-adding food to the consistency mix-which means I am only allowing myself the best food choices and I am increasing my caloric intake to match increased exercise times-all I have to do to maintain this streak is eat within my calorie range, and stop eating by 9 pm-I believe this should be easy enough but I have a tendency to not eat enough in the day and then give in to the call of the fridge at night-time to reverse that habit into eating well during the day and forgetting the night cupboard and fridge crawling act.

Woah another day, and a beautiful one at that!
The sun is shining and I feel great! Started the day well with a great glass of fresh fruit and veggie juice(beet, celery, carrot, green apple, ginger-yummers!) And for lunch I had a cheese and cracker with pepper sandwich and some souper soup-a veggie concoction I found years ago to help detox. I have also done my meditation, 4th day in a row and today I did some am yoga. Later I am plannin gon doing a jog 2 miler maybe and then finish off with a great dinner. lots of water and more reading and aspiring toward my goal.
All in all it's going well-hope yours is too.

So I did do my p90x stretch-1 hr of blissfulness.
My food intake today looked something like this:

juice-8oz

souper soup-10 ozs

sushi-dragon roll-5
california rolls-4
mini orange

ice cream-1 cone-1 scoop

banana+ 3 crackers+ 1/4 cup fibre 1 cereal

salad-1/2 mini bagel+ smoked salmon(1oz)+ avocado slice+ tomatoes+ alfalfa sprouts+ pickled onion+ boiled egg-1.5small

tea-with 2 tbsp creamer + 1 tbsp sugar-0 coffee!!!


Accountability

Good morning world,
Thank you MzLady77, I believe so-slowly but surely.
Well what can I say, it's all a process. I did have a smoke after dinner (just one) so I guess I have to just allow the process . Not too long ago I was puffing like a chimney, now I've worked my way down to one.(yeah-ish)
I did do a 1hr workout yesterday and drink 9 glasses of water, plus I ate well.
Now let me see if I can keep this consistent. I am also considering a yoga/ spiritual retreat to help myself cleanse even more. Any thoughts?

Ok so it's 6:55pm and I have had so much water I feel like a tank-I think I have drank about 8 glasses or more so far. No smoking-so far, good eating and off to do some Zumba-yeah!!!!

Okay it's coming closer to night time and I am feeling my resolve quickly disintegrate! I ate well today-even had breakfast, took my vitamins, drank most of my water(still need to get in 3 cups) and I am about to do a 45 min walk-but the smoking, sigh, thhat's a completely different issue-uGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I might have to get hypnosis/?!

Good day world,
Last night was officially a last for me -decided to quit smoking cold turkey-once and for all!
Adding to that mix the 30 day challenge and I am bound to be needing to keep accountable.
So far today I have eaten egg whites and a slice of mango,1 cup of green tea and 2 cups water+ vitamins. Will post the rest later-muah

Hello folks,
Well I have decided that I need more motivation to be more consistent. I am great for a couple weeks, months even and then I end up having a break-vacation, life in general and I have the hardest time getting back on track. Now I have decided I am going to make exercise my daily habit along with drinking at least 8 glasses of water-sounds easy doesn't it-but oh doing it is oh so hard!
Anyhow starting today(no time like the present) I will be challenging myself to do the following:
walk 30 mins everyday for the next 30 days-so until April 11, 2013 and drink 8 glasses of water for 30 days consistently.

So my numbers remained the same this week, but that's okay, I can see my progress which is more thrilling. Plus knowing now that my new regular routine involves weekend exercise and healthy choices is a great change!!! Happy about that.

Today is a trial, not food wise, not even exercise wise just in general motivation and energy-hmph:( I dragged my butt through a 30 minute walk and though I know I should do more, I am not in the mood. My kids are being bad asses and I am just having the worse PMS!!!
Time to meditate-shut out the world and find my happy place-geesh-no more cortisol, will have to do some more exercise for sure tonight- at least that's great to look forward to:)

I must say that I have this sweet anticipation building in me for reaching my goal weight among other things. I feel very strongly that this is my year. I am certain this transistion I have been working on for years will take-lol

Okay week one is officially in the bag-so far I have been eating 1500-1650 calories and doing walking for 5 days, p90x for 3 and now it's both for the next 5. Water intake is not so good and supplements are on- no late night snacking and a 7 day no alcohol streak!!!! 3 lbs down- emoticon

Happy New Year my dear, I hope it's going well. I'm sorry to hear about the POS but I'm glad you're still at it. I am too, i didn't turn to the lipo or any such thing but I am now using supplements-I started using Total lean by GNC-a combo of CLA, ECGC(green tea extract) and L" Carnite and vitamins. I am also going to restart the p90x classic I did before. Have been walking for a few months so my joints feel ready. Take care.

Hey Lovin,

I feel your desperation. I too have been going back and forth. I have a metabolic disease according to my doctors as well as polycystic ovary syndrome. So lots of hormone issues put roadblocks into my weight loss. But I am trying to practice portion control and regular exercise.

It's been going well, I've been meditating daily now for the past month-love the effect (I've been noticing that I get random feelings of compassion washing all over me and it just makes life a little easier.)
Also I have been exercising for about 3 weeks steadily and it's been going well also. I am going slowly because I'll be doing it forever so no rush. I have redifined my goals to match my new mindset and off I go. I am also writing a novel for nanowrimo-november novel writing month. So excited about this. I feel the wheels turning to help me accomplish the life i desire an dI like-only to be patient now---hurry up already patience-lolz

It has been a whole 8 months since I recommitted to this weight loss journey. I have lost and regained albs in total. A lot of things are riding on me succeeding this year-including a complete life turn around. I have the strangest level of self doubt tied to this process-I have heard so many people say-"we are naturally big ...in our family" or "you'll never get to that ideal weight...I'm 210" or "once you have kids...pass a certain age...." I feel like I'm starting to believe them. I keep doing the wrong thing-I drink too much, eat crap on the weekends and just plain give up some days.
I want this so badly, I've started to become desperate, looking into hollywood diets and lipo and all kinds of quick fixes.I have made up my mind, I will give it to the end of this month if I don't get to 170 lbs or close by the end of August I am going friggin Jenny Craig or going to a fat ranch or some f#@&*g thing. I am passed being over this f*&%$#g fat. I hate it!!!!!!
Just needed to vent.

Thanks Jibbie-thanks for the love. Hope you're doing well. Still pushing on. Have been healing from a pelvic wound so I have been doing lighter stuff-but today I pushed and ran uphill for more than a mile-so proud of myself. I am missing p90x tho especially yoga:( But I'd rather heal up properly than to push too hard and hurt myself.

Thank God you stopped by. I am continuing with my life change though life is doing everything to get in the way. How is p90x going for you? What is your disease if you don't mind sharing? Also wanna be workout buddies-it's so lonely sometimes I feel like quitting:( But I can't I need to keep healthy for myself, hubby and our 4 boys. I have been feeling like quitting this site all together as it seems nobody is around for the day to day but I'm not going to. I started Dec and I will continue till at least then. I hope it's going well for you. Let me know if you need anything.

This life is a journey-doing the right thing can be so lonely at times, it makes you want to quit and move on to the overwhelming wrong side. But I have been down that road, I have tasted that flavour and it doesn't sit well with me. It is day 5 of my start over with p90x-I have not had much support in mostly anything I do-so doing this without much support is acceptable but man, it sure does get lonely. Enough of the negativity-on to find support!!!

So my workout last night was uhm how you say ....interesting-lol.
I was so pukey from the supplements it was horrible-but I got through it and I'm excited to be going at it again-love me some workout!!

Back at it again, now that the injuries have healed and marathon training is over-I am restarting the p90x program to ensure completion. I know, i know it sucks that I'd get that far and decide to restart but I am ok with this decision. So our new plan is:
June to August and be in a 2 piece bathing suit by September.
So here we go again towards lifestyle changes

Good morning week 9, day 2-it's time for an inspired attitude to propel us(hubby and me) into a new dimension. We have spent the last 2 weeks just abritrarily doing our workouts and sneaking in unclean foods. Now we clean up our act and make it all fall into place.
Meals today:
tuna and whole grain bread, coffee
fibre one bar
mac and cheese with collard greens and pork choplets
fruit and yogurt
Cuttlefish stew with brown rice and bok choy
protein shake (post workout)
Tonight's workout-chest and back and ab x
Early wednesday morning-5-8k run

I am very excited to be so consistent for so long-I usually start strong and then over do it. So far I am going at a lovely pace-hubby's in too and as usual he's having better results faster-but hey I got to feel the 4 babies move in my belly-so there we're even-lol.
Well week 7 day 3 is in the bag-I am almost doing chin ups now-maybe by the end of the program I'll be able to complete one unassisted
NE way just waiting for my whole wheat bread to be done-the kids will be gobbling that up as soon as it's done but it's great sleeping with the aroma of bread in the air.

Week 7 day 1 completed, added in a 1 k run today outside with the kiddos but wasn't the best day to try- was way too hot and humid-wheezing central for me and 1 of the kids. Tomorrow we will run inside with the wii sports-2k and 5k coming up in 2.5 wks so we're training for that-the kids are so excited to finally be running too-lol
Anyway, off to bed-insomnia is wreaking havoc on my body but jI will prevail-ok, cape's gone and now I'm about to lumber my way up the stairs and heave my achy behind into bed.

so today I got in a nic little 2.5k run on my lunch break-race day's coming up in a few weeks and I'd love to do better in my 5k than my last pb- 34.41-we'll see.
The kids are gonna do the fun run 2k and so it's training time.

Week 6 day 3-have been doing well(despite what the scale says) and it has been great to see the consistency trophy-I have been aiming to be consistent since February so it feels really good. Trying to work up the muscle to go do a mini run -been wheezing a lot lately-but race is coming up May 4 th and I want to be ready.
I am happy doing this no matter how hard it is-KPP

Week 5 is done(aka week 1 of phase 2)
On to week6:
This is my ideal workout/eating schedule for this week
Go back tp phase 1 -1 carb/day -7 proteins/fruit/veggies
Get in 3 extra cardio this week: Mon-cardio X,Wednesday-running,Friday-Belly dance!!!
Also I have to try to get some green tea-4 cups/day and another 8 cups of h2o.
I will be moving less this week-online training -8hrs on my butt in front of the comp screen-so time to cut back the carbs-will see how this week goes.
Missed 1 workout/wk for the past 5 weeks-time to get my gut and pressure down .
