I have been really working towards AF January. I had 1.5 glasses of wine last night and woke up in the middle of the night with the worst headache. I have been fighting a sinus infection for a week now. I fell down, and now I must get back up. No more justifications and excuses. I will continue what I am currently doing and build and improve every day. I WILL NOT GIVE UP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've stopped making really long term weight loss plans, I just prefer to focus on one habit at a time, one day at a time, one decision at a time. On days where I don't exercise, eat the healthiest diet, etc. I just get back on track. This is working very well for me.

I decided that I am going to stop making long-term goals that I don't keep and then feel guilty about. I am going to start with one-week-at-a-time goals. Last week my goal was to exercise five out of seven days. I did that. This week, which starts today, I plan to do the same. I generally make goals of exercising 7 days a week (walking or swimming) but have found that this is not always possible. My plan for the week is to do water aerobics for a minimum of 45 minutes a day, five days this week. It is freezing outside and I am putting my computer down after I write this post, putting on my suit, and walking over to the community pool. My fingers are already frozen, this is normally a reason for me to stay home in the heat. Maybe I will carry a hot tea with me. emoticon

I PASSED MY PRT TODAY! YES, YES, YES! I am in the military and this is a very big deal. I did 64 situps (24 more than planned), 18 real push ups, and my run time was 14:45! I am so relieved, and I will continue to do my situps and bike daily. Thank you God.

Well here I am after a move to LA and a month of leave. I gained 5 pounds on leave. Its a bummer but I am back on track. Although I anticipate working a great deal, I can't complain. We are now living in a home with an incredible ocean view. I have been 8 days with no wine and I feel fantastic. Hope everyone in Spark Land is doing well. We will never give up!

Today was a great day. I felt so in control. I drank plenty of water today. I had my shake and had my protein cereal in a small bowel on my desk for a snack. I did not feel hungry all day. The whole high protein, low carb thing just works for me. I came home and will eat veggies and protein. I can see the shape of my face again. I know it sounds vain. But I can really see the shape of my face again.

I haven't tried Zumba but know a few people who do (and 1 instructor). I have been trying aerobics but need A LOT of practice! i won't give up though! I will learn those moves!

Hi emoticon again, and sorry that things arn't moving to fast, but on the other hand I can say emoticon a no gain is also really good too. emoticon But have you heard on Extreme Weight Loss (t.v.) It's with Chris Powell? It is on Tuesday night ABC check your area ours is 7 pm- 9 pm It is really good and he really helps people with it all He also has out 2 books The first is (Choose to Lose: The 7-Day Carb Cycle Solution)and the new 1 is (Chris Powell's Choose More, Lose More for Life) And from what I have heard, read, and seen there pretty good. I have maintained for about 3 months now, but no additional loss. Its time to get back into weight loss mode again. Day 2. Plan to keep carbs low. This will help me get control of my appetite. Need to eat every 2-3 hours. I will weigh in tomorrow. I feel good today.

Yesterday was a win ! Around 4:00 PM I felt like eating and having a glass of wine. I know that when I drink any alcohol I want to eat. I got up and went to the store. I am so glad I did not give in. I think I will stay off the scale. I know I am losing again. After being out of control for about a week, I finally feel back in control. When I get down to 135 I am going to get a new pair of pants.

Goals:

1. Track what I eat

2. No wine, no matter what the amount

3. Watch those carbs, they trigger crazy cravings

I am back and I am on a roll! I have lost 13 pounds in the past 6 weeks. YEAH! For the first time on a long time I have hope that I can get healthy. I am making good choices. Tomorrow I will go to a concert with my husband at one of our local casinos. My big challenge, no wine. It sabotages me every time. Not this time. No sir.

Yesterday I had a Medial Nerve Branch Block. The injections hurt like hell. I hope this will alleviate my pain so that I can do more. I may have gone to far with my activity. I got up at 0330 this am because I could not sleep. I got on my new stationary bike and practiced my PT test. I felt ok. That was 14 hours ago. I of course went to work after. My back and right leg are now throbbing. I need to make this work. I can't have a third back surgery. Good news is my weight is still going down. Slow, but that is ok. Because I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!

The bike is coming today. I have done really well this week. Last night I ate two small pieces of pizza and stopped there. When I wanted to get more I had an apple instead. More to come.

Today was a good day. I did not, and will not eat crap! Weight on the way down ! I am buying a LifeFitness (NAVY approved) exercise bike. My first piece of expensive equipment. I am in the Navy so I need it for my PART. More importantly, I need it to improve my physical fitness. GO NAVY!

I can't beleive how long it has been since I posted on my journal. I have gained about 4 pounds and I feel yucky. I don't know what got into me for the past month I have been eating junk. Ok I am putting that behind me and getting back on track. No more! Eating more vegis (that I love). The bread has to stop. It just makes me hungry and I lose control. I am tired of feeling like the chunky girl. This time I have had enough.

I am still here! It has been a long time since my last post. I am weighing in at 148-149. Not to happy about that but I am motivated. I just went for a run. It has been a long time. It was not easy but I felt so much better after! It felt good to sweat. I won't be away to long this time.

JJ-Together WE WON'T GIVE UP!


I ended this week on a positive note. I have started doing my situps daily. Got some Zumba in a few days before work. Today its going to be Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It won't be easy but its not suppose to be. My Dr. Finally did my labs and increased my Synthroid. Hope to start feeling better soon. 10 weeks to weigh in and PT test.

Yesterday was a good day. I exercised and kept my calories in check. No cravings for things I should not eat. I woke up feeling clear headed this morning. I need to find some new workout shoes today. I created a very healthy chocolate shake yesterday! I am very happy about that. I think I will stay of the scales today. Have a great day everyone!

Dasagirl~You are stronger than me. Mo way could I have Limon Lays in the house and not eat the whole bag! I went to a couple of Zumba classes before I bought the DVD. I bet you could rent them but I never did. The nice thing about the DVD is that they start you off at a basic level and then take it up. I just think it is fun and its up to me to put in the effort. Morning! I want to try the Zumba but have been afraid that I will not be able to do the moves...can you rent them before you by them?

Day one of trying to curb my Limon Lays addiction....I usually eat 1/2 to 1 whole (small bag) EVERY day. My lovely daughter introduced us when I was giving up smoking PERIOD! (only smoked when I was completely stressed out, in one month lost my mother in law, my son and his wife (is pregnant) split up, I fell breaking ribs and was in the middle of planning our vow renewels! ) I hadnt smoked in years and when I was going to, she told me to try the chips instead. It was love at first bite!

3 Months later, I have gained 6 pounds and it is time to "break up" with Lays....Yesterday not one single chip touched these lips....I switched to Gold fish for a snack, wrote a letter to Lays and aske them to make a "baked" version and drank 14 glasses of water!!

Day two I am hoping will be easier?,,,,will keep ya'll posted

I feel good today. I have been ontrack for four days now. Today my husband is painting my new workout room and getting me a TV to go in there! Exciting. I will use it tomorrow. The big test though is on Tuesday when I have to work out before work. Sending out positive thoughts to all!

We are home from vacation now for four days. I have been eating pretty well. I feel so much better when I don't put garbage in my body! Well I have not done so well over the holidays and now we are in the second week of our Colorado vacation. The first three days were a nutrition nightmare. I gained at least three pounds ouch. I got on the scale Sunday morning and was dismayed to see the weight gain! But never fear I went to the store and bought some healthy things to have while staying with my sister in law and I am back on track. Vegetables, lean meats, teas, and ingredients to make my flax muffins. Very little alcohol intake 2 glasses of wine for the past wine week. None for the past four days and despite the fact that wine is a big part of socializing with my friends I already let it be known that I won't be having any. I just can't lose this weight and drink. My choices are drink and hope it all turns out well or be responsible and realize that when I drink I eat. I am already feeling less bloated and I love that feeling. Why is it we eat junk when we know it makes us feel like a slug? I guess that is the magic question. So here is to a healthy day.

I did pretty good yesterday. I did my squats, situps, and dumbell curls. Tomorrow will be a real test because I have to work and the goal is to get up a little early to get those ten minutes in. If I can just make that a habit than I can start to extend the time and build up to 30 minutes a day. I have really cut my Alcohol intake. The goal is to eliminate it completely. I just feel so much better when I don't have it. I had two glasses of wine on Saturday night and felt crummy. It did not even taste good. For me it is poison. I hope every one out there is doing well. If you need some support or a buddy I'm glad to be there for you.

I have been sick for the past three days and eating erratically. My wt. is not as up as I would have expected. Did my situps today. I ate pretty healthy yesterday. I want to start getting up 10 minutes early every day and take that time to do my situps, squats, and dumbbell lifts.

Today is going to be a good day. I have already done my situps and I have added on squats and dumbell curls. I will doing these excercises daily because there is simply no excuse not to. These three exercises take very little time and will help get me going. I am struggling with my days off because I am usually tired. I cleaned the house yesterday and feel good about that. No sauce for three days (alcohol). So my eating is in check as well. Hope everyone out there is doing well! We can do this!
