thought ladybird might have sneaked papaya onto list.

spark playing up last night so gave up as wanted to push on with 2011 tax return. finished. now have to think of 2012 - will require more work as nothing started so will have to search for documents. only one day this work when not going out. gardener just left - raining hard - pleasant job in spring but not now

good for achieving and walking. lady bird lost lots of weight this week - good but can't understand why.

Big Mystery - how did i receive blueberries AND papaya with order when i'd only intended to buy one of them?

kept having to lie down today to ease pain in shoulder but have finally found file for 2011 return. excel playing up so may have to re-input information. should be able to give to accountant next week. then i'll need to sort out info for 2012, which i haven't even looked at.

sounds as though it will be successful.

will check with bank next week - small account where i leave interest to roll over but bank said if i didn't reactivate by march funds would go to government. not a crippling loss but one i could very well do without and i resent letting the government have it.

weight fluctuating wildly. not eating junk food but lots of fruit and veg. surprised i haven't seen you on weekly challenge.

ladybird says hoping to see turtle soon.

no, they did not know my parents. they know me. thanks. i hope there will be enough seats. last two years it was very crowded.
very frustrating. hope you found the file by now. may I suggest you explain to the bank that you were not well? sometimes they reverse the charge. (although i'm currently arguing over a $10 fee on my parents' account. )
just noticed that ladybird has snuck away. turtle and I congratulate her. and you :) especially impressive with your limitations.
ok, we'll have to follow. . . can't even get my ticker to be true. refuse to change the ticker.

find that frequently with books and online - hoping for something new but don't find it. spark's healthy heart newsletter featured stress and meditation this week..

nobody is being coerced to contribute and i can't see why they should be angry. they obviously knew and cared for your parents or you wouldn't invite them and it is in a good cause. i hope it goes well.

frustrating day - had prepared one submission and attached documents but now can't find file. have only one cabinet left to check and, if not, i'm in strife. may have also lost some money by not replying to bank in time. being sick i've put things off i shouldn't have. at least am up-to-date with payments.

raining here. forgot yesterday I had gone to library. will do dvd soon, I hope. quickly read a book yesterday. I know it all. gotta do it. bike uncomfortable. could have read this book on bike.

atrocious weather but only one person didn't come to class.

sympathise re trees. working in our street earlier this week and parked mulcher outside where i live.

we will - food order arrives tomorrow.

couldn't do them yesterday but did today.

letter from accountant - means more work preparing figures. counteracted by letter and chat with RSPCA re cat - foster owner still thinks he's marvellous and bought him lots of toys for his birthday.

sorry took 3 attempts. frustrating. thanks for persisting.
was woken after 4.5 hrs. sleep by noisy, smelly tree cutters. TIRED.
good progress. nbr in same condition and progressing from stroke about 10 weeks ago. he is speaking.
turtle congratulates ladybird. hope you both enjoyed blueberries.
hope you manage to catch up on facial exercises. I think they work.

contractor been brought out of induced coma. now having rehabilitation for speech and movement.

not fresh online

well done! what does your husband think of your having to keep such strict control over what you eat? Is he co-operative?

cortisone yesterday - now have to wait and see. don't seem to have any swelling or bleeding so that's a start. have to be cautious about lifting for next couple of weeks.

ladybird happy papaya arrived. i am too but cutting it up is painful. don't think i fancy it.

wasted a lot of time trying to install mp3 app on mobile. gave up in the end and did extra-long meditation. felt much better afterwards.

contractor had two operations but should recover.

never much good at carrying, now hopeless. can you get food delivered?

and enjoying it, i hope. food order arrives tomorrow - nothing bad - hope they deliver papaya. decided not to order fresh artichoke - too much preparation involved for shoulder to cope.

start went well and good class. just as well i did facial exercises early - involved in 'phone calls afterwards.

what exactly did you do to make yourself so sore?

not doing well with gums. been telling myself i'm too tired and just using mouthwash and toothpaste.

enjoyed. took one plate of eggplant and melon. another of salad and carrots. bottle of water. never went back. my husband asked me to bring him some of the leftovers. I did and didn't touch all afternoon. but of course it was too much for my skinny husband, so I helped him. :(
if I eat nothing else i'll be ok, calorie-wise. percentages off. not much fiber. time will tell.
you always said you need to do facial early. glad you did. good plan. actually works for me, too.
hope your early start went well.
gums anyone? I actually left without brushing my teeth this morning. sometimes I amaze myself!

walked to doc and back. pressure good. stopped in for diet ice cream. carried home some groceries.
made myself barley lentil mushroom soup. now to make the 4 portions last 4 days!!!

contractor fell off neighbour's roof so police cars, paramedics and contractors everywhere. spent time with her. must have been a shock but she's fine.

good you got exercise and sounds as if you bought healthy food. haven't had artichokes for a long time but do like them.

meditation class - seem to be enjoying it more lately. did i tell you free online 21-day class had ended? set of cds or downloads now available but too expensive.

hope you're managing to pace yourself and also make good progress.

regular [ex-] cleaner came round yesterday. has been in hospital and is no longer working for council. good worker and she needs the money. operation paid for by health insurance but has to have fortnightly checkups, which could be expensive. nice person, says she'll call in occasionally for a chat.

if they restrict calories will affect weight anyway and she doesn't seem to have any lasting loss with it.

class this morning, pm men working on road - noisy and dirty. neighbour upset so went round to talk to her.

sorry it will be a working weekend. fit in a little exercise and pleasure if possible. let mail and other jobs accumulate during week so need to tackle them.

she wrote in the MC about a book that claims it's an inflammatory reaction to certain foods that affects weight, rather than simply calorie balance. but meanwhile they restrict your calories and claim weight loss is attributable to their system. truth is, on the whole, my weight reflects my calorie balance. even though there may be fluctuations day to day that are probably attributable to water retention.

went years ago. enjoyed it.

frequently find weight doesn't seem to reflect food eaten or exercise. believe you have a long weekend to indulge in traditional overeating.

bad night too, then overslept, then mad rush this morning. bought new alarm clock today. another early morning tomorrow. hope your day goes easily.

hope shot helps the pain this time.
I chose fitday number cause that's where I track. reason I had spark number is that I mapped my route on spark to see how far I walked. nifty tool.

couldn't sleep. got up and ate and then slept. didn't earn dollar but still had nice calorie deficit. shouldn't gain .8 pounds from 200 calorie snack. maybe there is something to L's book.

we won't give up. scale been fluctuating a lot. wonder if it's me or the scale. skirts are tight and that's what counts.

msg.2 u3a arranges theatre outings, trips to planetarium, wineries, country homes, etc., etc., for members. today organiser asked what we thought of a "debutantes' ball". admittedly you can join at 45 but idea met with a resounding lack of enthusiasm!!

will try cortisone again, lesser of two evils, but only because shoulder painful day and night.

good about walking but pity you have to pass tempting stores. congratulations on being strong. which calorie count did you choose?

tiring day in office - guy i should have worked with didn't turn up so extra busy. other people helpful. several procedures changed. which didn't help. at least no chance to snack.

ladybird says while she and turtle are keeping an eye on us we won't be allowed to give up.

yes, housework counts and is a form of progress, but wishing for more steps, too.
glad avoided cold.
sorry thyroid didn't do magic. it doesn't always. i'm not happy about arthroscopy and injection either. hope it helps, at least.

went to see former nbr who lost mother. walked home. (spark says I burned 159 calories. fitday says 119.) passed nut and chocolate store. passes take-out store. went into ice cream store. got diet (125 calories). I guess i'm more afraid of calories than poison. I don't do it all the time.

still counting steps but haven't been able to increase goal lately. housework burns off calories too.

cold not developed but soaked in torrential rain and five people in class with colds.

doc - with thyroid tab perfect reading. disappointing though, was hoping for more energy and boost to weight loss. cut down on vit d. not happy about arthroscopy, will give me another cortisone injection next month.

nice. good you exercised.

allowing myself individual non-fat yoghourt most days. not high in calories but feels sinful. often feel i'm missing out on beneficial foods because too high in calories.

it's hard when pleasure is offset by [fear of] overeating and disappointment at missed social occasion is offset by relief at not having done so. understand but don't let it prevent your enjoying company.

sorry they are aggravating you about cat. bad enough you had to give him up.

keep walking. hope it gets easier with time.

sigh!

walked with medium walker yesterday to buy slippers. lady in store got me 20% off. that's always fun. then did intervals on bike. today strolled a little. tempted to get on bike to read now, but leisurely.
I have added some healthful food without giving up anything. not staying woithin calories. was good by nbr today. she had a nice spread. I had a little fruit.

company next week. looking forward, but dreading what I will eat. sigh, again!
