i feel ok, thanks. hope you do, too.

you're "both" doing great! deserve to feel proud.

i don't have control over what i'm offered, but i have control over what i choose to put in my mouth. i don't have to go hungry to avoid non-beneficial food. i gained 2 pounds. i plan to get rid of them this week before they get too comfy. turtle will be on guard.

do you have much control over your meals when you are away?

ladybird says she's sure turtle will help you now you're back. she's feeling saintly- resisted temptation at shopping centre and friend's house and only missed dollar once because had been to shopping centre, then walked to friend's. couldn't rest the offer of a lift home.

congratulations!!!
i left turtle home a few days. i had something sweet each of last 4 days and today total was too high. i just "needed" an extra meal. it was because i had gas. tomorrow i get back on track.

good for you, too. hope you enjoyed the class.

thanks. i also did some strength stuff afterwards.

learned something sad and scary. not able to discuss 'cuz it's about someone else. not sure what i should do or whom to ask.

not enjoying my day off or getting anything done. it is columbus day here.

i'd better go exercise, at least. maybe will look for a dance dvd with nice music. it's getting cool and i have no walking partner. probably good to get out, but don't feel like going myself.

good. glad the class is still going.

met friend for coffee, earned dollar today and yesterday - $55.

left fête before the end on Saturday - found out later that I had won a $50 voucher from the local hairdresser. ladybird upset - no sausage and I wouldn't buy any tickets for the fancy foodstuffs.

glad you exercised.

nice day. walked both ways and went dancing. enjoyed. next class in 2 weeks.

husband waited and i went to work. downstairs neighbors away so we used their bathroom. would not have been fun otherwise. toilet unstuffed.

hope dentist was happy too.
mp3s seem to be OK on smartphone so can download. e-mails appear on it if I haven't turned on computer. guy yesterday suggested I call 'phone manufacturer but don't feel like doing so at the moment.
apart from some deliveries and gardener coming round to see if I wanted anything done, a quiet and peaceful day. beautiful weather. walked and did meditation $53.

discovered benefit of laptop, took it and 'phone in to provider [driver carried it]. were there about three hours trying to fix e-mail issue but won't know until I switch on tomorrow if it works. installed link which should have been on computer so that I can download mp3s. got back later than should have then had to rush round to go to play scrabble.

did fit in meditation but no chance of a walk.

by the way one of the side effects of cortisone treatment is putting on weight!

physio - another exercise but happy with progress.

cardiologist says I can use online meditation program [which I've already bought and deducted dollars for] plus hypnosis and subliminal ones online or downloaded as mp3s so that means I can check out anything interesting online - when I have time.

how about this for dedication? walked to get haircut but neighbour insisted on driving me home so walked again later to make up the time. earned dollar $52, did you?

hot but windy. guess your summer is over now and you'll be enjoying milder fall weather.

checked link - had message from lifeflow today offering me sleep program at special price and have had messages in the past from holosync. I think it's because I've done a lot of free online courses and they swap addresses with each other.

dollars were up to $93 until ladybird started spending again and brought it down to $46. found a meditation program I like for $47 - it's based on a different level a month and each one has four mp3s and gets progressively more advanced. 12 months = 48 mp3s. you can take it at your own pace too. I've tried a couple and like them. I'm downloading them onto my kindle and sitting in an armchair in the lounge. much more comfortable than on a hard chair in front of the computer.

friend was in neighbourhood and called in and stayed for a couple of hours so I didn't achieve much.

physio tomorrow and neurologist thursday.

meditation so good for you, but i can't get the hang of it. i feel nothing except bored. where do you usually meditate, if sitting at computer doesn't work?

another day, another dollar, and a self-satisfied ladybird. told her she's got a lot of earning to do if she wants to buy anything.

sunny and warm so enjoyed walking to physio [only 5-6 minutes], exercise class afterwards.

they don't. I sometimes feel I'm being buried in it.

had one win. realised I could download mp3s to kindle. there are plenty of free ones on the web but trying to meditate sitting at the computer was not working well at all.

good, you're on a roll. count tomorrow!!!

returned all 3 dvd's. bought another for about $8. think i'm back up to 142.

walked slowly. saw slow partner at engagement party. walked there with friend, but not quickly enough.

had to make room for new work. cleared out some old. need a better system. shouldn't have kept a lot of it. ok, will be glad it's gone now.

computers were supposed to make us paperless. nowhere near.

msg.2 e-mails and downloading mp3s still not working on smartphone. OK with company computer but not with mine. really need to take laptop in but don't think I can carry it. might ask driver but she's sick at present.

pleasant day. walked and did meditation again. from before I had $149, spent $60 on audio books, plus dollars yesterday and today = $91. didn't count Friday because, although I meditated and walked a lot at shopping centre, it wasn't planned exercise. not sure about counting tomorrow - exercise class but mixed strength etc.

frustrating to lose things. I do it too often.

not happy your glasses not helping. tell doc? i wear near and far bifocals usually, but have something in between for computer. are you able to use both eyes?

glad your day was pleasant. mine was, too, till the night when i lost a check (which i found) and couldn't balance my checkbook.

wonderful news! your patience and dedication to a very unpleasant process deserve to be rewarded.

glasses aren't helping. make print a bit sharper but make it harder to focus. back to not using any for computer.

pleasant day. chat with neighbour, then friend who came round yesterday came again today and this time I was free.

hope you are having your quiet weekend.

my jaw cyst is shrinking and the bone is growing in. we're moving the right way. he refuses to use sonogram to monitor. not what he was taught. closed minded. as long as it works, i guess i'm happy.
he says supplements have nothing to do with it. i guess i'll never know.

driver sick yesterday so had to go with someone else today. feel as if I walked miles at shopping centre. friend arrived unexpectedly just as I was preparing to leave. felt bad about not inviting her in but she said it was her fault for not 'phoning first.

meditated but still tired even though I took sleeping pill last night.

enjoy your weekend too. I would like a quiet one.

ladybird says congratulations to you and turtle. hope you can get out of doing project.

did meditation but rest of day ran away from me. got unexpected lift to office of internet provider. very helpful technician but still don't think mobile is working properly. was there for two hours but then had to wait for driver so bought coffee but no cake. now connection keeps coming lose between external monitor and laptop. hope that doesn't mean I have to buy a new monitor.

was eating lunch, around 3.30, when physio rang and said he was running early and would be here within 15 minutes. had been hoping for a quiet day.

almost forgot meeting today. had to take car in. walked back. they gave lunch. i ate only the (greasy) veggies.
boss is insisting on giving me project i don't want. i'm trying to delegate it. time will tell...

sorry about dance class. hope you find something.

rain has arrived so no outdoor activity today. very achy - hope physio comes back tomorrow.

just did meditation. have been very lazy about that lately. ladybird and I agree it would be better if we changed our challenge to 15 m. exercise plus 15m. meditation. think that would be as, if not more, beneficial than rushing to eat at a certain time.

I'm not sure. I'm certainly not resigned to never driving again but I have to be confident my shoulder will not affect my control of the car in traffic.

9.30 as a time is not important [except that I would need to find another aim for the second part of my challenge. maybe I could change it to meditation as I've not been doing as well as I should]. on the other hand having a cooked meal at any time up to 11 is not good. I get a fresh burst of energy in the evening when it's not appropriate.

good news re mass.

understandable why neighbour hesitates but hip replacements are usually more successful than knees.

beautiful weekend - caught up with neighbours - but back to cold, plus possible storms again.
exercise class but felt achy. need physio. hope you walked.

seems to be becoming a more and more violent world. here risk of terrorist attack has been raised a notch and is now on "likely".

I hope tomorrow will be a better day for you.

msg 2 gorgeous day and i never got out. couldn't get a walking partner.
learned some very bad news of 3 years ago.
had to take a workpace violence training course online. didn't enjoy contemplating that i might have to deal with violence.
then made a bunch of calls to try to rise some charity funds. the function will be after a long day of work, unfortunately. anyway, asking for money wasn't fun.
also learned my friend's mother is in hospice and they don't expect her to be there long. at least i was spared that with my parents. i'm grateful for that. i remember you knew in advance by your husband.
so it was kind of a downer day.

myneighbor just called. we'll walk for not too long. i'm still not ready for tomorrow. maybe the walk will wake me a little, but not for too long.

what are your prospects for being able to drive?

is eating by 9:30 impt for you? if so, why is it hard? what will help?

my mass seems to have shrunk to almost nothing. she said local x-ray was good quality and well interpreted. that's where i may go back in 6 mo. now, do i dare give up the 4 brazil nuts i've been eating daily to shrink the growth? that alone would be worth 10 pounds a year!

rained. walked a little and visited nbr who returned from hip replacement. she's doing very well, but hesitates to do other hip.

good. I have a disc from my CT scan.

book club. had lift both ways. I joined because it makes me read at least one book every month and, in particular, books which I would never have chosen to read otherwise. it's sometimes surprising what you can learn from them.

glad your spreadsheet is helping you. yes, we do need reminding. there are plenty of free organizers on the net but it's a nuisance logging in. I often use sticky notes because they're so easily accessible.

I'm not earning dollars either. I am trying to do my 15 minutes of exercise daily but find it hard to eat by 9.30.

thanks. i am the proud owner of a disc with images. got it from the central records dept. of the hospital. the breast center is unresponsive. makes me wonder if i want to go back there. but don't want to travel to and pay for old place for mammo. anyway, have half a year for that. i am going back for this sono.

can't remember last time i read a fiction book. can't get through all the non-fiction i line up for me to read.
have been on phone all morning. accomplished some. waiting for one more cal back.
have made nice spreadsheet of daily activities. really helpful for me to get stuff done and reduce stress. it reminded me to look at calender and make phone calls. what took me so log to make it? my computer used to remind me all day. don't know why the reminders stopped popping up both at home and in the office. people with a functional brain are lucky. that's not to say i don't appreciate the part of my brain that works well.
will go do my third new dvd. don't love the other two. think i will return all 3. have to call them for a label.
not earning dollars. have calorie deficit, but not big enough. i'll be happy to lose slowly. as long as i move in the right direction. actually, good as long as i move :)

a lot of walking is a good accomplishment. glad you could.

fingers crossed. everything seems to take so much time. is the transportation card for buses or hire service?

glad friend's visit made day pass quickly. means you enjoyed.
walked to take office to fill out forms for transportation card.
filled out questionaire to get $40 on insurance card to help pay for friday's breast sonogram by radiologist that doesn't take insurance. have to get her mammogram i did locally for which insurance paid. better go call again before they close.

hope she doesn't.

there are a lot of exercises which are fairly standard, some of which are included in yoga and I remember. both neurologist and eye specialist have told me I can do exercises but don't seem to know any themselves.

I agree. we need to be able to rely on our computers.

gales during the night and this morning, then thunderstorms and torrential rain so no walking. did do some strength exercises.

friend came round and was here for a long while so day went quickly.

computer disconnected from server and i lost an email from my boss which i was forwarding. no big deal, but i don't like it to be so unreliable. it's one thing to lose the email i was writing. it's something else to lose the one that was sent to me.

glad you accomplished and enjoyed chat with sis.
breathing test showed no asthma. i just get it when i'm sick. he wants to do another ct scan of lungs. thinking...
pleasant day.
wanted to brag: when i went for lung test i bought meal in hospital. gave me a lot of fish(i think they wanted to get rid of it at the end of the day.). i brought home half and enjoyed it the next day.

that wasn't too bad.
tried it but very uncomfortable.
good. must do something about accountant next week.
day got away from me so no walking. sorted out a lot of appointments, saw people, etc.
'phoned sister - nice not to keep getting cut off. new 'phone said we talked for 2h21m but it was good to catch up.

good report on all counts - assistant, dancing and food at engagement party. just as well you remembered driver. it could have been an expensive evening otherwise.

took glasses back, previous prescription still OK so they will get lens without prisms. they. as well as specialist, told me to cover one eye when I read so bought a pirate's patch. at least if I'm invited to a fancy dress evening I already have part of my costume. last fragile hope is neurologist at end of month but not expecting anything. reckon shopping centre provides a fair amount of walking.

couldn't make it today.

still haven't contacted accountant. too many other commitments, problems with computer and mobile - which I hope I've sorted now - and trying to set up new 'phone. hope he hasn't retired or struck me off his client list by now. one of my main problems is inertia. just sitting gazing into space because I feel I haven't the energy to move.

I know you must work but don't neglect your health. I hope the assistant will be a big help.

must go through piles of paper. missing 3 different papers. have half a dozen health issues and a few financial current. must put neatly in folders. always gets away from me.

work project getting serious. must get back into it more. have done a little. also did a little on secondary project. have one suspended, too.

90+ friend who broke her wrist has her plaster off and neighbour who damaged shoulder is driving again. unfortunately my shoulder only progresses slowly.

You're quite right. I was happily thinking today was Saturday and I had another free day until I received your message. I haven't been on track since I slept for 10.5 hours, which was highly unlike me and I've felt exhausted ever since... Unless, of course, the mind is following the body downhill!

Will have to get someone in from supplier to change the nurse call system to new 'phone as it cannot just be unplugged from present one.

Need to check out eye exercises for double vision today.

good news re colonoscopy.

could use cell phone but tend to leave it in a drawer when I'm home. must have new 'phone in any case because present one not charging properly and telling people they can't leave a message because message bank is full. ordered one today - less than cost of visit to physio.

good weather. didn't walk but sat outside and listened to birds. very relaxing.

computers are frustrating , but not as serious as health. frustrating when health won't let us do what's good for health.
good UTI is improving. hope it's gone soonare you taking probiotics with antibiotic?
your breathing is the worst, i think. wish they found something to fix it without breaking anything else.
assistant is together and organized. i hope he'll work out well. time will tell. expense is worth it. i must learn to value my time over my money. reduce stress. dedicate time to health. and do parts of job that must be done and only i can do.postponed small project. expect things to ease up in 2015. do my best till then.

tried to post last night but spark was doing maintenance.

good news about colonoscopy. hope the results of the lung scan are reassuring.

proud of you for taking the initiative and hiring an assistant but sorry you have to do it yourself. at least you will be able to choose the one you want.

cancelled physio yesterday - think UTI responding to antibiotics but they're making me feel queasy and my breathing is bad. probably result of no exercise at all. to make it worse, after foggy mornings this week we're having a spell of sunny afternoons and I can't take advantage of them.

connection between external monitor and computer not working at the moment so having to use one on laptop, computers!!!

walked home from lung doc. 40 min. first real walk in long time. it's kinda downhill a little. would have been harder for me to get there. he thinks i have scar from previous infection. will watch to make sure it doesn't grow. more radiation. also wants full lung scan to make sure i don't have more. heart scan saw only bottom of lungs.

update. they told me on phone that no blood was detected in stool, so i get 2 yr reprieve for colonoscopy.

yes, we need a good GP. i got 2 suggestions. one doesn't go to the hospital (neither does my cardiologist, so i'd have nobody). other is brilliant but too fast and 63 years old. so, as usual, i've done nothing!

since i go only to docs, i haven't been tempted by bad food. i don't get gifts like you. i'm trying to eat smaller portions, too. now to get back to exercise! i hope i'm getting better.

since nobody called me, i called for result of stool test. doc out of office. would fax it to me, but can't tell me over phone. i have a way to get fax on my computer, but it hasn't arrived. it worked for 3 other docs. that's what one needs today.
