only other thing to use would be online magnifier but it's a bit cumbersome.

At the moment I seem to spend a lot of time either trying to find things which are either not there or don't work or getting rid of things which appear and which I haven't installed. And I used to enjoy using the computer!!!

i taught myself to touch type 3 times and lost it again each time. not adding it to my list now, though it pays to invest in self and good tools.
ctrl-roller doesn't work, but I'm impressed you know about it.

was just going to shut down the computer and realised I hadn't posted.

I can understand your problems. Can you use the Ctrl key and roller ball on the mouse to increase the size of the print? I learned to touch-type at school, which helps. There are plenty of free courses online but I guess you're too busy to spend the time on learning now.

Physio this morning. Pain killers are starting to give me stomach problems. Can only take them for a certain time then have to switch to something milder.

Got a lift to a meeting this afternoon and later on my 90+ friend called and was in the mood for chatting. She said she left her handbag at a film showing recently but was lucky enough to find it intact when she went back. Says she wonders if she should go into a care centre but decided not yet. If she does, she may go to one near relatives. I hope it won't be for quite a while as I would miss her.

I hope you are able to continue the eye exercises as you were so good and did improve. If not, try to get back to them as soon as this mad rush is over.

msg 2. no, not figure work. mostly text, but i can't type and it has to be very technically correct. some of the software i must use has small type. and my eyes aren't young!! breaks would help. that's probably the worst part. either i forget or i don't want to lose my train of thought. sometimes i'm sorta juggling a few things and don't want to drop any balls. too hard to fix if i mess up and certainly don't want errors caught by others. at least i'm beginning to feel that i know what i'm doing.
it's not unenjoyable, in the sense that time doesn't drag. it's just keeping me from other stuff and hard on my body. good for my mind, though , and probably my mental health, once it flows.

worked through the night and forgot to write you. sorry. woke very late, ate breakfast and left for wedding. listened to turtle except that i ate bread which i usually don't because i was hungry and they weren't serving. just got home. i guess i moved a little at the wedding. will i do my eye exercises??

Even looking away from the screen for 10-20 seconds will help. Are you doing figure work, which would demand an extreme degree of accuracy?

Long chat on phone but glad no need to go out. Weather still atrocious.

You've still got a long way to go with Office 2010 and 2016. I'm inclined to go for 2016 but don't know whether to choose digital and make my own backup or buy hard disc. Will check up on sales, discuss it with local tech and get him to put it on computer.

Great you're working well and you're keen to get on with current project but don't neglect your health.

yes, thanks. today my eyes had hard goo. i can see again. i think it's "dry eye" must blink more and take breaks.

trouble is computer is not good with me. I've got until October to do it so won't rush Need to find out End of Life and if it's better to buy program or pay annual fee.

We have similar system, available now but obligatory next year or will lose phone service, etc. etc.

shopping centre but out of breath and knee hurting. also wish I didn't get so exhausted.

you're pretty good with the computer. i'm glad to get help from people at work. i'm using office 2010 at home. sometimes i think it's flukey. work switched to 2016.

ISP is offering FIOS in my area. i don't have the strength to switch. my internet is working these days. my memory is overwhelmed.

gynecologist pleased. pap results in 10 days! gained 5 pounds since last year. :(
took 2 buses most of the way there and walked home.

you did lose a lot of time due to holiday and ill health so maybe things will run more smoothly from now on.

must be a relief re colonoscopy. are you taking turtle to the wedding?

you did well with star and dollar - you have almost as many as I do even though you've not been earning for some time.

The day got away from me. U3a then stayed talking for quite a while. two online programs suddenly developed problems. managed to fix one by downloading earlier backup but will have to update a lot. Also realised Office 2007 will reach End of Life soon.

good your security is back and you can relax.

got this big project a while ago and got stuck at this stage (only partially my fault, but i get a lot of credit for going about it wrong). also my summer escaped.

so did my day. i did no work.

thanks. gastro said i don't need a colonoscopy for 3 years. the bigger they are, the less they do to you, has been my experience. he won't take care of all my functional complaints but did refer me to someone. not going to happen so fast, i suspect.
now i can go to a wedding next week instead of preparing for a colonoscopy. much more fun and more fattening. i have a ride (too far to walk, unfortunately).

he asked me what i ate. i was curious so i logged my food today. walked to and from trains. i've earned my *55 and $130. was a pain to find the number.

tomorrow is gynecologist. plan to walk.

Security system reinstalled and working fine. A big relief. Am having problems with two other programs but inconvenient more than worrying.

Glad you're progressing but definitely not good for you to work like that. Was it for a job which was thrust upon you or because you procrastinated? You can only do your best with the document. I'm sure you won't lose your job but don't know whether it might change the type of tasks you are given.

Cold, wet and windy so spent day doing tasks, on and off computer'

unfortunate your physio makes you hurt.
i'm sore all over. sat at the computer ALL DAY. At least i feel i'm progressing.
exercised no part of me except my brain. my fingers feel sore, but not exercised.
Word is doing weird things, sometimes.
have to submit a document this week, but don't know what to write. will affect my job and don't like my options. will have to try to pick the best.

Have scanned with freebie and removed two threats but phone nos. disabled for Australia for paid security. have emailed [US company] but no chance of a reply until your working week starts. Windows firewall is on [must have been the reset] and that may well be the trouble as it is inadvisable to have two firewalls. Tried to reset it but it won't go so hope it is protecting me now.

physio today. gave me gentle exercises. says thinks I can try leaving another appointment until next week. painful tonight [as usual after visit] but can take it easy physically tomorrow.

sorry your walking partner won't be available for a while but, providing the weather is OK, walking in the evening is pleasant.

i will hear you. it's actually the earlier post that i won't read till later. but i will read it. our thread is kinda like a journal, too. i always say i should start one. mentally healthy and useful in retrospect.

I always answer your last post but the next day It's a bit like shouting into the void knowing that nobody will hear me.

Yesterday and today - one visitor, two chats with friends and still trying to sort out a lot of problems. Today have upset stomach so didn't want to venture far.

managed to get old mobile changed back to factory setting so I can now dispose of it. long session online re current mobile, functioning now. says it accepts change of password but doesn't. Creators still doing peculiar things and have not checked on download it keeps asking me to run every time I boot up. To cap it all my paid security system is not letting me update and tells me my computer may not be protected. can't do anything until Monday morning except keep my fingers crossed. You may not have had any choice re Creators, I didn't.

Good you walked and foot didn't cause you much trouble. Perhaps if you had carried turtle it would have helped you lose some weight!!

thanks. walked to enjoyable dinner and back today(1.5 hrs. at a nice pace). foot hurt very little. should look into orthotics. unfortunately it was too far for turtle to walk !!

i gave monkey a hug. i've forgotten about him. need to figure my stars.

Looks as though Creators could be the reason for your problems. I ought to find out more about the program Microsoft keeps wanting me to download and I need to sort out my smartphone for next week. Just don't feel like it.

I'm sure boss would not want to lose someone of your experience and I think you did well to put your health first.

often make phone calls or organise documents and she takes the hint and does not disturb me. yesterday I felt too tired to move. Also she was upset because someone had tried to withdraw $3,000 from her bank account.

i'm impressed by your knowledge. i have 1703 version of window 10.
have 149 GB free out of 222GB. That's not the problem. no energy to figure out what is.

finished some stuff today. boss calmed down. he'll get a replacement or he'll make a younger person volunteer. i want to do the required aspects of my job well, but am no longer looking for promotions.

pain is bad!!

your cleaner sounds agreeable. can you get her (gently) to talk less claiming some problem or remove yourself. listening is easier than cleaning. maybe she'd get the hint if you fell asleep :)

foot hasn't been hurting. maybe painful brace pushed something in. anyway ignoring orthotic.

went to optometrist today. vision has improved. gave me some new stuff to do. explained a lot. walked there and back. physically and emotionally tired. ready for a weekend. enjoy yours.

To find out which version you have press Windows Key + R, type WINVER in Run Box and enter. 1607 is Anniversary and 1703 is Creators. Don't have problems with memory as was set up with 100GB on C and 330 on D drive and still have quite a lot free. You would obviously use up much more because of work. My problem is that things I used before are no longer there at all or have been moved to another spot.

Relieved surgery went well and hope it will be successful.

Good for you, you need more time to care for your health.

u3a and physio yesterday. painful then and now. cleaner today. wish she didn't talk so much [nearly fell asleep listening to her] but she does the job and will do things which aren't on her schedule. From what I've heard about other cleaners I could do much worse.

glad you went to botanic gardens. any more thoughts about orthotics?

don't know if i have Creator. i have big updates and a frequently full disk??? told not enough memory. microsoft Outlook restarts itself too often and Word behaves wierdly sometimes.

good you're OK and even better that you've been enjoying some social life without going overboard.

got rid of bing. as you say the least of my problems. now every time I boot up I get "Everything" asking me if want to allow it to make changes to my computer.
Think it may be connected with Creators Fall edition so I'm not touching it for now. Has Microsoft switched you to Creator yet? I'm using Edge and IE [still supported]. Need it because my paid security system uses addons and Edge doesn't support them.

it's bad you managed so little sleep. same for me but for different reason. physio came Monday and I was in a terrific amount of pain afterwards. using heat packs the rest of the day, then couldn't sleep for pain. finally dozed off and woke shivering [bitterly cold at the moment] so had to get up and get an extra blanket.

stars are not important. just do what you can at least until your next check up.

I hope your friend's daughter's surgery is successful. husband of lady who gave me a lift last time I went to book club died last week and the memorial service was held yesterday.

three colonoscopies in a year are a lot. good luck with the new gastro and the docs.

sorry about your computer. mine is behaving funny too. i think Microsoft is messing us up. at one point almost lost my work. luckily i had uploaded it to my website and could retrieve it. was scared. i always use bing. that's the least of your problems. can easily reset search engine to google. default programs or something. are you still using IE? i thought it's no longer supported. i use Chrome, but sometimes Eclipse (i think) opens itself.

enjoyed dinner very much. lots of salad without dressing and string beans with mushrooms, meats (although they were pickled, that's salty and poisonous but not calories). turtle let me have lots of whole wheat, but only minimal goodies. fruit for dessert instead of meringue whipped cream red sauce stuff. ignored the cup of white stuff with a straw on the table when we sat down.

wedding last night. they were late (cuz someone stuck in traffic) and we left early, so ate very little.

brain didn't work till late sat night. then worked till 6 AM. slept a little. worked more. slept a little. walked to wedding. worked more. slept well last night as consequence of losing the night before. and forgot to write to you both times!!!

did one day's worth of eye exercises over the two days. i suppose that doesn't get me any stars, but i will not restart my count. actually maintaining a streak was never part of our deal. that's the 10 min fitness club to which i have not been posting. have generally gotten my 10 min, but that's not enough.

friend's very sick daughter having surgery tomorrow. hope it'll put her in remission. she's been through so much.
this week two old docs. hopefully routine. did i tell you i found new gastro. scheduled to meet him next week and have (third in one year) colonoscopy the week after. i'd better prepare my records for him. maybe i should email them.

people mean to be nice but ...

computers!!!
spoke to a succession of technicians thursday, none of whom could fix problem [2 hours approx]

friday spoke to several more Microsoft technicians online and by phone and eventually found one who said she thought she had discovered the reason for my problem was that nearly all of my default settings were corrupt and only one of the head technicians could fix it. he said if i did nothing my computer would eventually crash and I would lose everything. had to pay for Tech Support [AUD330 valid for 2 years] before they would do anything. Started session at 2.30 and finished at 9.15. Backwards and forwards on phone and online. At one time ended up with technician online telling me to do something and another one on phone telling me to do something else. Was able to do other things while he had remote control but had to keep screen in view to reply to his messages. If I'd known he was going to do a complete reset I would have copied a lot of information beforehand.

So far today I have discovered I have lost my saved passwords, plugin to outlook, some emails and IE is taking me to Bling instead of Google. i'm sure there will be more things. No use whinging but I can't face tackling the mobile phone issue until I have sorted out my computer.

I like her too. started using her when I couldn't cut toe nails after shoulder transplant. it looks as if you will definitely have to buy orthotics. I wish there were a way you could get a second opinion without spending too much.

problems kept at a reasonable level with medication but it upsets my stomach. worried about knee, which is aching badly.

shopping centre - seems to be more of an effort every time. got replacement sim but will probably wait until sunday to contact technician again.

have booked a phone call from Microsoft for tomorrow to try to solve another problem and also received a questionnaire of about 20 pages re Govt package, A lot of conditions are being changed, some of which are not clear so I'll have to go through it carefully and contact the representative. Does it never end?

It's getting late and I'm hungry.

thank you very much for asking your podiatrist. i like your doctors better, tho they don't manage to keep you comfortable. i have the beginning of a heel spur, but it is not causing symptoms. i like her advice. there is a little bone above the arch. like a lower ankle in the middle of the foot.. mine have always been prominent. that's where the pain and spur are. he says it's from flat feet.they called me back today and said if the brace hurts, i should not wear it. i guess i need an orthotic. i'm not sure yet that there is no injury. does x-ray show soft tissue. i asked when i left my message, but she didn't answer. maybe i'll call again.

yes, i guess i shouldn't walk without orthotics. must get them. not sure by whom.

good thing she came to you. i've forgotten to go to docs and missed the visit.

glad you enjoyed the class. how are you feeling?

just had a late supper of broccoli, chic peas, baby corn and mushrooms. very hi fiber. i'm stuffed. hope i can sleep.

I guess you must have all thought it a good idea at the time. have circumstances changed?

podiatrist this afternoon. don't know where your current bone spur is but asked her about heel spurs. her description of symptoms matched what you've said. I expect your podiatrist has told you what to do but she emphasised flapping feet up and down for a minute before getting up. she also said to not put pressure on heel until foot has warmed up. do you feel pain in the heel itself or in the ball of the foot?

You worry about being absentminded! I forget about the podiatrist, even though I had a note in my diary and she arrived while I was having a late lunch.

Did podiatrist tell you to stop walking unless you had orthotics?

grr! indeed. computers, again!

work is a bit annoying. many of us are not happy with a change we approved. not sure how it happened or how it will play out. it's not being done right. affects my project.

i know i'm the only one who can and at least I snacked on fruit today.

not good news. have you tried getting advice from anyone else? we have a very good chain of sports stores which measure your feet and video the way you walk before recommending a shoe or orthotic. they are not custom-made but my husband bought a pair for a very reasonable price and was very happy with them. there is no obligation to buy anything. do you have anything like that near you?
it may well be that you need the $400 pair but this would be a cost-free way of getting a second opinion.

my smartphone suddenly locked and I spent 90 minutes online to provider trying to get it fixed without success. have been told to get replacement sim from local office then ring tech dept again and they will see if they can transfer contacts at least. Grrrr!!

sorry you had trouble sleeping. i'm finding if I take pain killers they help me to sleep but upset my stomach the next day. catch 22!

I need to be stricter with food. it's too easy to snack when you can't get out and even healthy food adds weight. it's also easier to hide the increase in the winter.

we're proud of you for persevering with the eye exercises. don't waste the effort you have put in so far and the cost of the new lens. if you stop now you will always wonder if it would have worked, if you keep going, even if there's no improvement you will know you have done your best.

another week until physio's next visit.

not enjoying spark so much. feel I've done it all before but look forward to hearing from you.

missed yesterday again. i'm beginning to worry about me and apologize to you. work was very absorbing yesterday. (that's not a valid excuse!) few of us are taking shortcuts with this one. none of us is young. i quit at 2 AM but couldn't sleep till 5. lucky today is sunday and i could sleep till 11. will i fall asleep tonight?

company kinda pathetic. yes, i controlled what i served, but not how much i ate. sat around with nuts and seeds. and had "healthy" cake and chips by nbr. neither is calorie free. at least i walked in botanic garden, but not at a pace.

must reverse direction of weight.

new lens is a little clearer, but getting harder to keep making myself exercise. must persevere for at least 2 more weeks till he tells me if i've made progress and have any hope. lost count of stars but earning them daily.

hope you are feeling well or at least improving steadilly for your efforts and pains with physio.

husband used to be referred for colonoscopy by local doc but then had to go to specialist centre for procedure.

i'm worried about gums too. have been flossing etc. but don't feel happy about them.

i'm writing as i meditate- jon gabriel. !!!!! please see link below.

i also have not exercised my eyes, which are already burning.

walked.
didn't drink.
didn't overeat.

chose a high falutin gastro doc and made appt for visit and appt for colonoscopy to check on my polyp removals (prepared this yesterday- procrastinated too long already). wish my general doc helped with this. i should probably go see him someday, too.

did lots of work stuff here and in office.

thanks for the good questions!! yes, i put the new lens in old frames and it is only for exercise. i'm not to walk around with it, lest i trip....picked them up today.

went to dentist. gums not good. not surprised. got a referral to a dentist who may take my insurance. will send husband to him first if he does.

too much for me !!!!! got a lot done today, but ...

are you happy with your current glasses on- and offline and would you only be using the new prescription lens for the exercises? have you got some old frames you could put them in? are there any FAQs online for the program? can you find out if using stronger lens will weaken the eyes? have never used glasses to exercise eyes so have no experience.

still not right but definitely better than 10 days ago. will have to cut down on painkillers as they are upsetting my stomach.

cleaner today. I literally had 100s of cds in plastic racks but nowhere to put them since I got rid of the old desk. I've now bought cd wallets for what I want to keep. cleaner has disposed of the racks and taken 5 large bags of the others to the charity shop. still need to sort out the ones i'm keeping and unearthed a lot of documents which I need to check out. a bit at a time.

no. he didn't check my eye. i asked for stronger prescription, actually, to help me with the exercises. i don't fully understand how it will work without me putting my nose in the paper or computer screen. will be like very strong reading glasses. he filled it after i signed. hope i manage to pick it up tomorrow. full day planned. and i have too many papers to carry. have to figure this out so i can walk.

wasn't a lot of walking. i reported for 2 days.

did optometrist check your eye and was there any improvement? did you ask for weaker prescription and did he refuse to write a new one even though you signed a waiver? have just looked at summary of book and could get audio version. would be interesting but don't expect there would be anything about fluid on the cornea. only you can decide what to do and I would not try to influence you. I can only say that eye exercises have been beneficial to me.

great news about your jaw. you persevered with the treatment and now have the reward.

that's a lot of walking.

back to u3a after 8 weeks away. feel I have forgotten all I learned earlier.

i am ok, thanks. foot and neck hurt and weight up. can't believe i didn't write. sorry.

skin doc completely unhelpful.

optometrist upsetting. said unethical to fill prescription for new lens for weak eye. when i showed him the book i just took from library ( "fixing my gaze" by, susan r. barry, researcher and professor), he typed up a waiver (useless and possibly harmful) and made me sign it.

i walked to, from and between the docs.

that should have been yesterday's post. i was quite upset. i certainly don't want to cause harm with my hard work.

today jaw surgeon (has it been 5.5 years already?) was pleased and dismissed me. i'll be glad not to have the radiation of the panoramic xrays. never did understand why he must shoot full mouth.

i walked to and from the bus each way. can't walk to the city.

i read the book on the bus. she gives me hope. wanna read it? are you able to read regular books these days?

we're both enjoying our time together

years ago I went to a naturopath who said I showed sensitivity to gluten, etc. and told me to have no gluten and no nightshades. I did feel some improvement but she moved away. at the moment I eat potatoes, etc, and a tomato every day. I know I have a bit of arthritis in my hands but it is not the reason for my current problems. I hope you have some relief from whatever you do.

too many pains. current book says give up grains, nightshades and legumes and you'll be cured of everything. have you ever tried eliminating nightshades? but your pains all have explainable causes.

it's been months and i never noticed the cause. doc dismissed it as arthritis. i think he was mistaken.

monkey is doing a good job,

slightly less movement than yesterday but still a lot more than before. pain mostly neck, shoulder, lower back, one hip and one knee. bearable but don't like keep taking pain killers.

good. you deserve it.

extreme pain yesterday so heat packs and ointment and more painkillers when I finally went to bed. slept off and on but at 7.00 decided to turn the heating on, go back to bed for another 30 minutes and get up when it was warmer indoors. must have fallen into a deep sleep, was woken up by knocking and found it was after 10.00; staggered to door in pjs but don't think caller was impressed. guess i really needed the sleep. still a lot of pain but less today and have retained increased movement of neck.

good for you. won't earn dollar today - Laris and I fell asleep and it's too late now.

too much multi-tasking. i'm the same.

hope someone manages to fix your foot problem.

cardio yesterday, still insisting on fluid restriction, said if I don't keep to it I will become more breathless and need stronger medication. said exhaustion unlikely to be because of heart as I get it after sitting down instead of after effort. So why?

shopping centre this morning but had to ask companion to go to some places while I rested.

physio this afternoon - said if i could stand it he thought neck had reached the stage where a really strong treatment would help a great deal with unjamming it. very painful during and after treatment but at the moment I have the most movement I've had for weeks. hope it stays that way,

i remember composing my message to you, but i don't remember typing it. sorry. must have gotten interrupted/distracted. my brain's back burner never worker. i shut off cooking food either when the timer goes off or when the smoke alarm goes off. if i turn my attention to something else, i don't remember to come back.

good your neck is improving and got your hair cut. harder to get it washed.

saw cardio. tests good enough. wants me to get a pulse monitor (i know how to count) and exercise more strenuously. i definitely should exercise more, but i'm not sure if i need strenuous at this point. his secretary called podiatrist to get me appt. to look at my foot, so it won't interfere.

physio should have come today but had been in contact with someone with bronchitis and was not feeling too good yesterday so cancelled all appointments.

sorry about the muddle - maybe my mind needs an overhaul too. My bear is Laris, short for Polaris, referring to his home region.

good for you and your frog [has he a name?}.. I have a polar bear which I bought when I was in rehab after my shoulder transplant. As I knew I wouldn't be home over Xmas I staggered to their shop to buy some cards. He was in a wire basket with a lot of other toy animals and I just couldn't resist him. He now sits on my pillow during the day so if cuddling and reporting to him could be beneficial i'm happy to give it a go.

your frog is obviously doing a good job and you should be able to keep on with your eye exercises even when you have visitors. I realise it may not be possible while you are away. I will earn my $ later. Promise.

If you have friends staying, enjoy their company and enjoy your trip.

good for you and shame on me! friend rang when I was just about to meditate but I made sure I earned $ today.

might be able to use it sitting in armchair in lounge watching TV.

ladybird and I are happy to help in any way we can and will welcome your other critter, although ladybird is sad to lose touch with turtle. I am sure if you do use your monkey it will be much nicer than the ones at Gibraltar - noisy , squabbling critters trying to snatch food and anything else they could from visitors.

Still sorting cds. How did I get so many? I am giving a lot to the charity shop but there will still be a lot I'm reluctant to part with. have ordered some inexpensive cd wallets as they will take up less space than the plastic racks I have been using.

i'm sorry you're having such a bad time and hope you will feel better before you leave.

physio this morning - painful as usual..doc came later, with five long sheets of blood results. says they show I do not and never will have rheumatism [big relief], otherwise only what we already knew. he doesn't feel cortisone would help. at the moment suggests I try a program of tabs for pain relief and tabs containing magnesium for cramps, plus heat packs. apparently he and physio had discussed my case. regarding exercise says to to do what I can [very little] but not overdo it.

ladybird and I are proud of you for earning your star. enjoy your reward.

I dread going into hospital because of the fear of infection. think I have 2-3 years before my pacemaker has to be replaced.

decluttering cds and dvds most of the day apart from chatting with friend on 'phone. a few years back one of the newspapers offered a free dvd once a week. just came across David Attenborough's "Wildlife Collection" [16 dvds].

will be a nice break for you.

i was earning stars for eye exercise. will have to look up how many i have and report to you.report to you. reluctant to give up dollars, but i have to log food to earn them and i'm not up to doing both. will see how often i go in to therapist.

glad you got your authorization. now for them to help with the pain.

walked today. went with my husband (who usually doesn't) to see someone but couldn't because the nursing home quarantined him. scary. candida auris. new threat here. makes me not want to go see anyone in any facility.

probably won't get to post in a week from today. plan to go to kids for 2 days. also, if i don't post monday, don't worry.

will give me 20 *'s and do exercises now even tho i don't want to.

it's always encouraging to get good service.

I have a lot of faith in eye exercises. I started doing them again regularly, when highly expensive and useless neurosurgeon couldn't help me to get rid of double vision. As a result I improved so much that my eye specialist removed it from my records last year.

you have already made some progress and I think it would be worth continuing but not necessarily going to a specialist every. week. Could you motivate yourself in any way to do them regularly, e.g. a reward?

I've had one win this week. Government insurance allows me 5 free physio visits a year and finally received the authorisation yesterday.

i'm not sure i disapprove of full fat milk. fat is in style.
sorry about pain, too. hope he makes improvement.
store replaced scarf that sprung holes. new one not as good a color, but was a pleasant experience.
walked to vision therapist and back. that's certainly an accomplishement. i think what i've done already improved my vision. e gave me exercises and 30% chance of 50% improvement. going every week will increase compliance and monitor i do it right.doubtful that insurance will pay. pretty doubtful i will pay, though maybe i should. will see....

paid for someone from agency to go shopping for me because I needed things I can't get online. Gave her a typewritten list and marked where I would take something else if necessary. Not a good outcome. She forgot some things and even brought full cream milk, of which, apart from being fattening, I don't like the taste. hope you improve and get good report.

went to wedding tonight. knew only mother of groom, her sister and two of her friends. we discussed medical issues a little too much. i ate pretty well. suspect the chicken had lots of sugar. i have so much gas. i hope i'll be able to sleep.

no improvement but will wait for results from blood tests.

I already have one but obviously not able to use it at the moment. Couldn't use it with old desk because it had raised footrest but may be able to with the desk i'm using now, although might have to use laptop keyboard instead of pulling tray out. There are some quite good second-hand ones free on e-bay to anyone who can collect them.

came back and noticed my message was lost.
good you are meditating. can't expect to accomplish much in pain.
don't like your news. hope he's wrong. wanna see a specialist?
want to spend my dollars on under desk cycle. 2 problems:
this desk (which i've had since i was 10) has a drawer in fron that my knees would hit.
doesn't solve negative impact of sitting so much.

earning dollar is only thing I achieved today.

physio came yesterday - extremely painful during and after visit.

pain pattern changed, is now more intense, often having to hold onto nearest piece of furniture until am able to move again.

Doc came too, says might be Palindromic Rheumatism. which is quite rare and incurable. if so might be periods without pain but it will return. is arranging for me to have blood tests.

Hope you're enjoying the long weekend and catching up on your rest.

It really is a no-win situation. You need to re-set your internal time clock but also to cut out distractions during the day. Does you husband accept that you don't wish to be disturbed while you are working, is it neighbours popping in who disturb you or just that you allow yourself to be side-tracked easily? I guess standard advice would be to try to adjust a little each day but only you can find the solution.

I understand the being active at night - I usually find it's a good time to get things done,

my work makes me get up. it doesn't have to keep me up at night . but that's when my mind wakes up and the world doesn't distract/disturb me. that's genetics, habit and poor time management. i don't mind staying up late if i can get up equally late, but i can't. getting up late some days doesn't work. i don't go to sleep that night and am tired next day. but i did sleep late today.

I lost some space when I changed TV units but mostly when I changed desks. Old one had hutch where I could easily accommodate more than 150 tapes [this one doesn't] as well as built-in cd holders. will sort out ones I don't particularly like and play doubtful ones while I use computer before deciding whether to keep them.

I think you are probably the only person I know who is worse than I am at going to bed at a reasonable time. At least you have a valid reason - work. I know you enjoy using your skills and find your job interesting but you can't let it wreck your health.

Try to get some rest this weekend.

why did you notice all this stuff now? was it moving the desks? can you sell some or donate and get a tax receipt? process it slowly. don't hurt yourself. you didn't accumulate it overnight and don't have to get rid of it overnight.

very glad your ability to move is returning. wishing you fast progress. good you have a good physio.

good you chatted! never regret that time.

stayed up till 5:30 working. then slept till 3:30 in the afternoon to make up for both nights. time is a major problem in my life. when i'm forced to get up without enough sleep, i get sick. my job currently forces me to get up too early, too often. either that or a project i don't want (like i almost got this week) will probably be the cause for my retirement.

cleaner came, I supervised and she did the physical work of reorganising. also took a lot of stuff to charity shop. still have a lot of papers to go through but will take it gradually. how did I manage to collect so many cds, dvds and audiobooks? think it would take me two lifetimes to play them all.

getting back some more movement but physio treatment extremely painful. physio suggested he recommend doctor prescribe morphine patches to cope with pain but told him to hold off for now.

had promised to ring sister. meant to suggest short chat and suggest I call her next week but somehow ended up spending well over 3.5 hours on 'phone.

sorry about your bad night and hope tonight is better. I didn't sleep well either.

cleaner came. i let her use murphy oil soap on dining room chairs, so i have a slight headache.

didn't sleep well. two people annoyed me and two made me sad. upset my stomache. kinda lost the day. didn't accomplish. must go do a walking exercise video.

ladybird very upset by Petya - it has shut down Australia's major chocolate firm and its overseas affiliates. rather a drastic way to make us lose weight!

i'm the last person to help you with going to sleep on time. i know the disadvantages of sleeping unconventional hours, but i take my sleep whenever i can get it.

I don't want anyone else going through my papers but took a pile into lounge this evening and sorted out quite a few to throw away or shred. i'll get help later this week to move things so that I can get to others and gradually weed them out. I have that problem with cleaner.

still not sleeping well. why am I so ready for bed at 8 pm and wide awake at midnight?

did you set yourself reminder? I do that for eye exercises and meditation.
