i think pudding constipated me. i had a total of 4 servings in 3 days. i'm sneezing, but i think it's allergy to stuff growing. i hope constipation doesn't mean i'm getting sick. it's uncomfortable, either way. i also think puddings are diuretic.

doesn't sound suitable for me but still interested in your results.

cold and heavy rain but walked a lot at shopping centre.

air conditioning broke down again. technician fixed it - I didn't get charged for visit. said I definitely need to replace heating system but, as the present one is 33 years old [here when we came in], I have been lucky it lasted so long.

did i lose a post? forgot what i wrote.

tried another pudding. made only one portion and put a piece of coconut instead of coconut water. didn't work and didn't like it as much. have to make a new entry in my tracker. i think these things work better for people who are overeating junk. you are already eating very well. and i think it's water weight cuz there's no sodium. kinda like lynn's magic stop eating junk diet wouldn't do magic for you.you live on freggies.

sounds filling but, as you say, low in protein, veggies and nutrients. doesn't sound healthy for more than a few days. the next part of the diet might include more. i'll be very interested to hear how you go with it and what your results are. I certainly need something to help me to lose.

exercised mind and body today so deserve to listen to an audiobook for a while now.

beans, chia seeds, coconut milk, sweet fruit. maybe chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger honey. there are 3. i think i could do 2 a day. filling. short on protein, veggies and nutrients. hi in sat fat but from vegetarian.
i guess it wouldn't kill me for 4 days. i need more coconut milk. must explore. can i just eat a piece of coconut and put water in the recipe?

will think about it but not in a hurry to change as 7 is working well for me.

think I got myself mixed up. meant to say didn't dislike pulses. didn't find pudding ingredients online either. what sort of things does it contain? hope it works for you.

yes, windows is still free. what i like is that it's an upgrade and not a reinstall. i lost antivirus, but windows 10 has its own. i had to reinstall ccleaner. so far its working. they've had some time to fix i t up by now.

i couldn't find pudding ingredients online. had to wait for book. will look again.
have made up double batch of pudding (sort of). looks like desert, not a meal. hope i don't eat it till tomorrrow. i'm done for today.

Didn't have any today but might try again tomorrow.

checked out cynthia sass. interesting idea. I don't dislike ingredients of "pudding" but every day? I need to lose weight but think 8lbs in a week are too many. I'd be delighted with a steady loss of 2lb. like all the foods mentioned in the other book but think I would be extremely hungry. let me know if you decide to follow either of them.

haven't seen "lite" coconut oil - mine is 88 calories for a 10g serve.

good luck with windows 10. did you get it when it was free? people I know who've downloaded it have had varying results, some good and some bad.

another thing we have in common. i get my plaque dug out every 3 months. it's better when i do it myself more often.

yes, please be careful with juice.

rainy here. pleasant restful day. had only fruit and a little popcorn by neighbor. too much fruit all day though.

reading 2 of cynthia sass's diet books
www.cynthiasass.com/ hard to believe i'll lose 8 pounds in 4 days on 2000 calories of "pudding" per day. brother says the scientist in me wants to try it. i actually found "lite" coconut milk to use instead. 50 calories instead of the 256 my tracker gives me. that makes it 1400 calories, which for me means half a pounbd a week, maybe. other book is quite sensible after first 5 days of eating only 5 foods: spinache, raspberries, eggs, almonds and yogurt.

actually it's turned cold here. a/c fixed, told I need to think about replacing it but should last me through the winter.

dentist - replaced filling and fluoride shot. says I build up plaque extremely quickly, which I already knew, so may need more frequents checkups than most people. have to go back in a fortnight to get rid of last of plaque then should have a break for two months.

cranberry juice very tart - will go carefully as at one time I was told I should not take aspro and it contains salicylic acid. on the plus side it is supposed to slow down the build up of plaque.

never used tea tree oil to clean. once used on toenails. nothing lasts.

cleaner this morning. used tea tree oil to get stain out of shower. would never have thought of trying that.

so do I but something extra always crops up. today the ducted air conditioning has stopped working. it's very old [was here before we moved in] so hope technician can fix it.

I think exercise probably makes more difference to me than food.

shopping centre today, which is exercise enough. got some cranberry juice. needed to wait until I knew about warfarin and, in any case, couldn't order any from supermarket as it isn't pure juice.

thanks for the summary.
women lose more fat if exercise after eating, men before because store more carbs interesting. but i'm an apple. i store fat like a man.i know it's no good, but that's how i'm programmed. all the more impt for me to manage my weight. also, i get indigestion from exercising after eating. (btw, i'm just getting over indigestion from the weekend.) rest isn't new.

work wasn't bad at all. tied up some loose ends.walked both ways, in drizzle.

glad it was no worse.

1. don't need gym or expensive equipment - showed how to use household objects to exercise
2. waste of money buying "strength" drinks, using protein powder, etc.
3. women lose more fat if exercise after eating, men before because store more carbs
4. hip and bottom fat good, belly fat bad
can't remember the rest but all trials were shown and results assessed by specialists, e.g. doctors, trainers.

went to s&t - several members saw show and liked no-nonsense approach. we and they already know a lot about the subject but it would be very helpful for those new to exercise and healthy eating.

hope work wasn't too hard.

i missed a small step in the dark. fell onto grass or soil. small bruise, slightly painful to touch. soiled my shoes and raincoat. broke the heel of my shoe. had less pretty alternative to wear and my husband may have fixed the heel.

glad don't need warfarin. yucky.
thyroid meds can raise pressure. sooo complicated. vit d is tiny pill.

so many different opinions about weight. don't know which are harmful. what were results of these trials?

glad everything went well, except for the fall. how did it happen? aren't we all?

busy day - doctor, meeting, exercise class, where I was very cautious.

doc - vit D within required levels but he would prefer me to have higher level as so little sun in winter. said no reason I should have to go back on warfarin now.
thyroid level OK on current medication [very low dosage] but says no way I can alter thyroid by natural means. BP not so good.

just been watching a TV program about clinical trials on commonly-held beliefs re health, including weight and exercise. very interesting.

unfortunately I don't like most fish so will have to stick to flaxseed, etc. pity seafood doesn't have the same benefits.

hope your first day back at work isn't too strenuous.

be careful.
had a nice time. ate too much, mostly good food, but not prepared healthfully. enjoyed the people and the greenery. rain didn't help. i fell, but i think nothing worse than a bruise. my friend found me a ride back (with people that had stayed in my apartment decades ago. the baby they had then now has a baby. am i getting old?). glad i am still able to do this.

a bit easier tonight. I was told at s&b that I rush too much with the exercises and should slow down. trying to do so at the moment but it's not natural for me.

thanks for the info but, as you say, no magic. some of the things suggested for sleeping are similar to ones I do but I don't rehash the day. I think I've got the mental part under control but I'm often woken by physical discomfort.

life can be so unfair. hopefully it is just the salt.

turtle to ladybird: we had mostly protein and veggies at the wedding. we asked for the main to be wrapped up. never got it,, but still glad we didn't eat second dinner. there was no fruit for desert and i didn't let minnie have cake or ice cream. they were giving cookies on the way out and we took none.

have conflict with cleaner on wednesday, too.

very slight improvement. doing what I can but impossible to do as many repeats as they would all like. everyone thinks he is the only one to give me something to do.

beautiful sunny day so went for short walk. rain forecast for tomorrow. still have some apples someone cut into bite-size pieces for me but guess I will have to stew them now.

I enjoyed the headspace animations too. they've e-mailed me a couple of times suggesting I re-join but I won't be doing so. I find it very hard to live in the moment but audiobooks and online jigsaws do it for me, mainly perhaps because I can see how long it takes other people to do them and get competitive.

i'm on the computer.

good your gums are good. my dentist and i don't bother my old fillings till they bother me. some are not in great shape. maybe not wise approach.

you didn't need tmj or flare. try to treat them and meditate on them.

finished patties today for lunch. really like them. ought to be able to immitate them, but , as always, takes time.

trying to read headspace book. not going in. enjoy the cartoons and 10 min meditations more. atypically, theory doesn't seem to interest me here, or it's above me. thoughts will come. can only control our reaction. let them be and not hijack our mind, the way mine sometimes do. puzzles may work better to still my emotional thoughts. i intend to persist. so many things to focus on and forcing focus has always beena challenge for me. i need to be interested.

i agree and I'm paying it now with my teeth.

pain is from tmj. have checked it out and suggested home remedies tie up with what physio and dentist have told me to do. time-consuming as includes hot and cold packs, massage, etc. and soft food only for the next couple of weeks. have one, or maybe two, old fillings to be replaced later but good news is dentist has removed all the plaque and is satisfied with gums.

flare up slightly better after treatment yesterday but wants me to use heat packs [more time] and no weights for the moment.

I'm sure she understands why.

sound tempting. agreed and you did well walking in unpleasant weather.

hope you have a good weekend. it's a guilt-free time to enjoy not using the computer.

research tmj a little before you do anything.

not happy about your flare-up. maybe you assumed funny position because of dental pain. hope by now both are better and you have a comfortable enjoyable weekend.

yes, we do forgive each other and ourselves because we keep trying. but, you misunderstood my message. i meant my local friend and i will forgive each other. i forgive her for not finding me a ride. i hope she forgives me for not attending.

had very tasty quinoa patties made in organic store. want to finish off the container. hope i won't. no calorie info. good ingredients. washed down with unsweetened chocolate almond milk. (instead of usual water). still better than wedding meals. walked both ways in nasty weather.

got stuck on work last night. microsoft shut down it's office.com site. cost me a few hours sleep to figure out alternative. tired.

my turn to tell you to be good.

endodontist - teeth OK, so save $2,000 by not needing root canal, but have jaw problem [TMJ]. suggested physio, preferably one who specialises in this.

huge flare up of shoulder and neck, can't turn head to left and intense pain. physio thinks it could have been activated [or at least aggravated] by dental problem. gave me treatment and some advice but will be away for the next fortnight can contact business partner while he's away but will ask dentist first if he knows any specialists.

sorry and glad about your not getting a ride. at the moment I'm not feeling very interested in food. think we can forgive each other because we never stop trying.

good luck by endodontist.

sorry class is cancelled. woud love a new dance class. realized at wedding how much i miss it. actually, don't want a class. want to put on music and dance.

good you had enough for acct to finalize.

our thanks to ladybird. yesterday was fine. today i had about 2 plain home dinners, i suspect. not so fine. i did walk 1.5 hrs, but that doesn't compensate.

thursday will go only if hostess gets me a ride. if i do go, i may come home too late to post.

actually the numbers for the whole day weren't bad. no wonder i was hungry and didn't want to bring home the dinner.

i know and now I've found a dentist i think i can trust will get everything which needs to be fixed done and have regular checkups. have made appointment with endodontist. had to cancel cleaner but teeth are more important.

strength & balance class cancelled because not enough people today. won't find out if it's on next week until then.

finalised tax return with accountant. big relief.

good about gums. you got away with it, this time! (yes, there's an admonition embedded in there. :) ) still hoping cause of pain is easily fixable. you did well not taking meds. endodontist sounds more appropriate than orthodontist.wonder if i'll end up by one, too.

not thinking about new cleaner. hard to get for just 2 hrs. hope this one lasts.

hope you are glad you exercised. usually the case.

dentist - pain flared up again today [before I saw him]. this type of pain unusual and thinks I should make appointment with endodontist.as it might be a muscle or something below tooth which x-ray didn't show. on the positive side, he has now removed a lot of plaque [unfortunately still a lot to come off] and says he is pleased with condition of gums so far.

you're right. think I have all that is necessary to give to accountant.

my cleaner is coming later this week. do you think you'll try for another one if this one doesn't work out.

made myself go to exercise class even though I would rather have just collapsed on the bed.

being diligent with teeth. getting toothache after eating but not continuous the rest of the time..

couple of darker patches but won't know exactly what they are until all the plaque has been removed. orthodontist if necessary, don't think braces would help. have garlic.

want the benefits of meditation, but it does not come easy to me.

didn't the xray show what's wrong? hope your homemade rinse does the trick. garlic? orthodintist? braces? i don't like meds any more than you, but you must get rid of infection. don't want root canal.
i'm sure you'll sort out the finances even if you won't enjoy it.
hope you slept well and rested up.

Congratulations - you really are following the advice to exercise but somehow I don't feel you're too enthusiastic about meditation.

Busy day and very tired now.

1. had to go and get teeth x-rayed.
2. grocery shopping.
3. accountant came round to discuss my tax return and tell me which information he needs. guess that will give me something to sort out over the weekend.
4. dentist. removed a lot of plaque but still a lot still there. says it has damaged gums and suggested antibiotics to clear up infection. when i said I didn't want pharmaceuticals he was happy to suggest I make up a mouthwash with natural ingredients so that's encouraging. don't know at this stage if there's anything lurking under back teeth which would need orthodontist but he is hoping to avoid it.

don't want to be too late to bed as I have to be up early tomorrow.

Dentist is dental surgeon. took bite x-rays - OK. wants me to have more comprehensive x-ray to check beneath back teeth. said plaque very bad, will need several sessions to remove and be unpleasant but was expecting this [previous local dentist didn't do a good job at all]. told me I was doing all the right things but plaque was preventing mouthwash getting to gums. pleasant and seems competent.

glad you walked. still have quite a lot of pain but will try tomorrow.

long weekend. glad because busy time next week.
