msg 2 couldn't find anyone to walk with. afraid to walk alone. i did a ballet exercise video on internet.

ate a little chicken, veggies and pineapple. came home and had garbanzo beans with mushrooms and vegetable juice.and watermelon.

I certainly am.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Some people can only talk about themselves.

Exercise class yesterday, strength and balance class today. Intensity improves every week but physio there gave me a variation of one exercise to avoid weight on bad shoulder so going well. Only four at Spanish class again but one different from last week.

Eye specialist yesterday. Says he thinks I have thyroid eye disease but not severe enough to need intervention. Actual eyesight not changed.

Seller asked for BSB to refund postage. Feel a bit wary but rang bank which said it should be safe. In any case I will/would give him that of my secondary bank, in which I don't keep a large amount.

It will be quite a while before I can attempt rebounder. walked today.

I'm sorry you still have so much discomfort/pain. I was told there could be improvement for 12 months after shoulder op so maybe there could be for you too.

One of the online stores mixed its orders up so I received the garments for someone else - extra large!!! seller notified me that there had been a mistake so there will be no problem, just the inconvenience.

Had banana and raisin wrap for lunch. Delicious. Why are raisins so important to you?

sounds like cleaner will work out.

people say good things about rebounder. be careful!

surgeon (or should i say big x-ray) says bone is filling in. gum unchanged. he doesn't understand discomfort/pain.says it looks ok. if not improved in 3 mo , he'll send me to periodontist to look. why would i expect improvement in next 3 months when there has been none in last 3 months.

walked to and from buses.

always hungry. overeating (or should i say not undereating enough. 1500-1600 calories isn't overeating. many diets prescribe that much.afraid to cut out milk till jaw finishes growing. probably should give up raisins.

enjoy the weekend. "see ya" monday or tuesday.

new cleaner today - chatty but works while she talks and seems quick and efficient.

good you're walking and have partner but don't overdo it. I walked today but didn't really enjoy it. weather unpleasant and walking difficult. it occurred to me that after the strength and balance class I might be able to use my old rebounder again.

glad you had a day off. managed to walk before rain started again. spent the afternoon sorting out credit cards, etc., with banks, making medical appts, booking drivers, etc., etc. I'd planned a lazy time but no such luck.

think I understand. when I've found something I want I get competitive with bidding or making counter offers. luckily I' m still able to pull out if it starts getting too expensive.

I'm still not good at getting to bed at a reasonable hour. I usually get a fresh burst of energy at about 11.00 instead of in the morning when I need it,

keep up the good work and stay well. nice you have support. bad it's for medical reasons.

gave myself a day off. i'm ready for tomorrow, which may be a rushed day. will certainly be a busy week and a half. did a little today but not much. slept late. played a game. i think i can understand gambling. just when when i'm about to quit, i get a small breakthrough and there i go again. it's an addiction. www.smileygamer.com/play/8348/brickshooter

got called back from insurance, she will show it to someone. what a nuisance cause surgeon doesn't want to deal with it. he submitted wrong codes. oh, well....

used ankle weights today. only 0.5 kilo but they'll review me later and decide whether to increase. found out my sessions will probably end in September.

have done.

know how you feel. tired of medical appointments. made appt for echocardiogram and next week is eye specialist.

felt I lost weight before but clothes feeling tighter this week. probably, like you, good food but too much.

you did well with walking. rainy day so didn't walk but at least exercised.

i'm pleased about your class, too.

made some health insurance calls. have to continue the fight that i've ignored.

jaw surgeon on thursday. feeling no improvement. tired of fighting with everyone.

seem to have reset my calorie consumption too high. all good food, but i don't burn it.

better go exercise.

beautiful weather - three short walks and exercise class.

love my fruit and veggies but have to limit green leafy ones.

Frustrating when you can't sleep. Walked today, didn't get wet but bitterly cold. Just been speaking on 'phone with book club member. her heating is not functioning and she has a cold so can't visit anyone.

Bank card compromised so ages on 'phone with bank. had to cancel card and now must wait for a new one. Then I had to spend time switching to another one on Paypal. I'm lucky as there do not appear to be any untoward charges. Apparently someone has hacked into a site [probably that of one of the overseas sellers] and obtained financial info of all users.. Can't find out which because police investigation in progress.

Also spent long time sorting out things with Tax Office. Said I owed for late payment for 2011 and 2012 returns. Thought everything had been settled by accountant. Very nice guy at ATO - took pity on me and waived the payments because of the health issues I'd had during that period [pacemaker and second procedure on heart]. Rang accountant, who is on holiday for three weeks!!!

I now need to catch up on all the tasks I'd scheduled for today.

glad u r walking in mall. outside doesn't sound very welcoming. please use your pedometer. i use spark's map to estimate my distances. never got into steps.

couldn't sleep last night for a while. tired but functional. walked both ways.

need a catchup/straightenup day. been busy 2 weeks and wednesday will get more work. but i better move, too.

Spanish - four people this week, slightly better but not good.
Exercise class - had assessment, said I did very well. More intense than last week and next week another exercise will be added.Told I didn't need to walk today, especially as it was raining.

grey and miserable, wore slicker but didn't get caught in rain. had taste of birthday cake but refused other "eats".

walked there and to exercise class but got lifts back from both places. tired - exercise class an effort but did everything.

hope it's nice and you get there dry.

thanks. wore it now. feel good.

ate pretty well. had light supper to earn some. walked . saw a few old friends. brides father was my children's physician's assistant. looks great. pleased he remembered me.

have been walking this week, but eating too much.also must add strength.

very cold but no rain so walked this morning. got lift to and from bookclub. don't think I could have walked there as I'm finding this week harder than last. My period of grace is over - need to try some exercises tomorrow. It was nice being lazy with a clear conscience but I could be sorry.

you'll improve if you keep on trying, as I know you will, but don't aim for overnight success.

had ordered light slicker and rainproof jacket online, which arrived today. always worried about getting right size as they vary so much but they're both a good fit and what I need at the moment.

did you finally get your outfit altered the way you wanted it?

cold and rainy so no walk.

surprised filling still hurts. won't do any harm to go. I'll be interested to know what you think of toothbrush. I'm still using a manual but could be interested in switching.

cleaner this morning and lots of 'phone calls during the day but nobody seems inclined to venture out.

my filling of a week ago still hurts. rest of mouth not great. opportunity to go to hygienist school to hear opinion of student and professor. wonder if they'll enlighten me. xrays for $%. don't want radiation. wonder if good . wonder if surgeon will accept them. will get free electronic toothbrush!

it's so weird how our climates are opposite. gotta grab the nice days before it gets too hot.

walked both ways today. have to go in every day this week. almost got three small things done today. straightened out my sick leave from my surgery, too.

hope we both get back to dancing.

only 1411 calories, but not enough protein. hungry.

no walking but went to strength and balance class. much harder than Monday one but should improve with time and it might help towards going back to line dancing.

three again today at Spanish class, one who didn't come last week. don't think I'd continue if it weren't that I'd be going there anyway for exercise class.

I'm lucky that we only pay if we go to class but think it might close down because of lack of members.

life is full of temptation. have just received invitation to birthday tea next week but ladybird says if turtle is going with you to make sure you're good she's going with me.

walked to exercise class but someone drove me home.

spent $28 on a couple of music tapes. will work out what we have left later.

haven't gone to dance class since i broke my foot. i think she's startinga new series in the next few weeks and i plan to sign up. i don't like this new pay in advance whether or not you show up, but lots of things work like that. also no local rides anymore, but hopefully i'll be able to go with the teacher.

i enjoy exercise classes, too. i just don't enjoy getting there. keep enjoying.

10X: i will behave at engagement party. i guess i must take turtle along. expect to be bored. plan to drink seltzer. at least i can walk there. she's making a tiny wedding. don't expect to be invited.

friend didn't mention party for her son. do expect to be invited to wedding. looking forward.

you're right.

just think how much worse it would have been if you'd eaten biscuits instead.

the employment situation is getting more difficult here too and people are being pushed to do more if they want to keep their jobs. You're doing the best you can by not getting involved, even though, as you say, that can be seen as a statement.

You may be a good luck charm for them but not for yourself. I know how much you dislike walking alone so hope you will soon find another companion. I much prefer to have a purpose if I walk and like exercising with other people, which is why I enjoy classes.

you are free to resent all you want, but please make the appointments.

pleasant day. ate some watermelon by neighbor. wasn't even tempted by the tasty stuff. walked a little. too little.

got a call from coworker. politics brewing. i'm trying not to get involved, but even refusing is a statement. i think he has a personal vendetta. i'm not sure if he's right, but even if he is, i don't think siding with him is in my interest or the interest of the group. i don't even think it'll be good for him because i think the replacement for the person he wants to push out will be worse for all of us. i could also have personal gripes, but on the whole, he's worked out pretty well. i think it's "tuff" times all around. everyone is penny pinching and expecting more work from less people.

my second walking partner is getting engaged tomorrow. (so is my friend's son.) i seem to be a good luck charm for women to remarry and move away. i'm happy for her, but i'll miss her. she'll actually be within walking distance. i can walk to her alone. we walk back together. then she walks home alone. won't happen because her new husband is a walker. so is the husband of my first partner. my young girl partner also got married and moved away. so now i have one partner on the block. her husband walks, too, but doesn't have the time. neither does she, actually. at least she walks quickly when she walks. i'll have to find someone.

made a deliberate choice to take a day off exercising except for my tongue, which got a good workout and chasing ladybird away from the computer as I was making a food order, but will be back to it tomorrow. did do some stretching exercises.

not a hope. some of them are very active but they prefer to spend their time working in their gardens.

my conscience tells me it's time to do some more payments [they're not overdue] and make some more medical appointments at times I resent their taking up time I could use in other ways but I guess they're necessary.

beautiful weather - walked again. legs felt tired but kept going.

sunshine has brought everyone outside so spent ages talking to someone in my street I hadn't seen for a very long time.

tempted by nuts but limiting them - exercise seems to make more difference to how clothes fit than cutting back on food. don't know how much I'm eating but lots of fruit and veg.

dentist is not pleasant but something I must think about. wish I could back to the one I went to before.

shopping centre without stick - left it in car in case I needed it but didn't. front of thighs ached later but nothing serious.

got someone in to fix lock on door, then gardener came round and we spent ages discussing which plants I should buy and how I wanted things fixed.

cold nights but pleasant days -long chats with neighbours I hadn't seen for a while.

sorry about your outfit. know what you mean about lazy - it's happened to me.

good X2. good habit.

sorry it hurts. certainly hope it's beneficial.

wasn't satisfactory. both sleeve and hem were uneven. front didn't lie flat. she redid without any argument. i should have tried on before i left the store. lazy often doesn't pay.

1456 calories today, in spite of free breakfast and lunch today at work. i'm pleased. had small carrot muffin and rest good. gave away cookies that came with each meal.

went to u3a without it today and had no problems but will ask usual physio about shopping centre.

only three people in Spanish class so don't know whether it will continue.

went to strength and balance class there too, run by local council. lot of things similar to other exercise class but using some different equipment. everyone needs individual assessment by the physiotherapist who runs it [next week] to get individual program. did well today.

sounds as though you're doing much better with walking now [ladybird congratulates turtle] so maybe we're both improving at last.

walked doing errands - 4 sessions, total about 20m - without stick - and went to exercise class

there is always something more to do.

sounds good. I used to go to botanic gardens in my lunchtime when I was working and always enjoyed it.

it was very difficult for you to eat well and, hopefully, over time your weight will revert to what it was. I always feel better if I do some exercise even if I don't know if it makes a difference to my weight.

msg 2. i'm back. took car service there. train back.we spent two hrs on our feet, but slowly. nice. i usually don't ask her. pleasantly surprised she agreed. at least we weren't near food. i've gained several pounds in last few months. ice cream messed me up. i can't even track my weight. turtle misses ladybird. wants to catch up. you've done well in spite of your limitations. i haven't. (i know it could have been much worse, but it's still not good enough.)

helped her with a couple of things she couldn't sort out but, although I could see what was wrong with another one, I wasn't game to alter it as I didn't know what information she might lose. have to confess we had one chocolate chip cookie.

did walk yesterday, just for short distance but without stick. felt like a human being again. too wet today - disappointing.

sorry about deliveries. glad it finallly came. i once sent something overseas that kept going to the other side of USA. i had to stop using zip code.

enjoy troubleshooting.

didn't move much today. 20 min. at least didn't eat by neighbor.

forgot about coconut oil. sometimes rinse with diluted hydrogen peroxide. don't feel it's helping. don't know what will. dentist next week.

more delivery frustration with food and from P.O. Has new sorting system which cannot read postcodes so parcels have been travelling up and down the country, for at least two weeks sometimes, but otherwise OK. At least I finally received cd.

helped friend to solve problem a little while ago so she now thinks I'm a computer expert. has asked me to go over to her place to help her tomorrow. hope I can help but she's not using the same program as I do. If only she knew how often mine plays up!

frustrating morning - cleaner sick, cancelled. Meals on wheels came - wrong day and wrong order. Spent ages on 'phone sorting it out. said they had new computer program and didn't really know how to use it.

scrabble this afternoon - someone I've known for ages joined us. worked out well.

I grew up with three cousins nearby but all much older and already married, one with son.

yesterday saw doc, physio, went to meeting and exercise class. blood test OK but have to watch for kidney problems, sodium ok so phase out salt, yoghourt counts as fluid but beneficial so not to cut it out altogether, same weight as before but would help legs and back if I lost a few pounds. physio painful but not as bad as previous week.

today coffee with friend and long talk with scrabble player who is in respite now but longing to go home, otherwise chores at home.

walked yesterday and today.

hope you will be able to pace yourself with new work.

time for evening meal - as usual far too late.

will look at MC tomorrow.

husband's family. i have only my brother nearby. we gre up with nobody nearby.

replied twice last night because spark ate first attempt, obviously ate second one too.

envy you being able to visit relatives. have arranged for cremation for self, where I want ashes to be scattered and addition of my date of death to that of husband in book of remembrance. all paid in advance.

meeting friends, walking and not eating is ideal!!

thanks. want to buy a plot, too. my parents did and i'm glad. it usually costs less when done in advance. my husband overpaid for his mother after her death.

long early trip tomorrow for family get together. of course, there will be food. it might be the fancy new nothing to eat type, though.

good re work and walking but know what you mean about having an incentive. think that's one of the reasons why I'm meeting friends for coffee more lately. enjoy company and don't usually eat anything but have a reason for walking.

good luck with finances. was talking to sister this evening [for 3hrs15m!!]. she and her husband have just made pre-paid arrangements for their funerals so that it won't cost the children anything.

not sure I can have potassium rich and doc told me to use salt as my previous blood test showed I was short of sodium. will see him next week when, hopefully, results of latest tests will have arrived. seems crazy you get bloated when you don't drink enough fluid and I do when I exceed my miserable 1.5 litre allowance.
stayed home to rest leg but put in online order, no yoghourt emoticon. took sleeping tablet last night and turned off alarm. slept well.

been earning but spent $19,20 on music cd.

not good with water. hope you are sleeping comfortably.

have you checked diuretic foods? beans, melons. potassium rich (but not if you are on potasssium sparing diuretic.) i'm sure you are off salt.

my fingers puffed on sunday (could barely open the door) and i feel bloated now (just loosened my clothes).. it happens when i don't drink enough or eat salt or grains. did both today. my upper body swells, not my legs.

sounds as if you had a frustrating day too but at least you walked which was good.

agency rang to say person taking me to appointment this morning hadn't got her car but was willing to go with me in taxi, which cost me an extra $32. Tonight agency rang to say person who was taking me shopping tomorrow is sick but they had found someone else, rang later to say person they had found was sick too and would try to find another. at which stage I gave up and cancelled. will get what I need online.

cardiologist says I'm retaining too much fluid, which accounts for breathlessness. must either have less or more diuretics. don't think I'm drinking overmuch but asked about yoghourt, my big indulgence. he didn't really know [don't think anyone had ever asked that before] said it might be inbetween. need another ecg but doesn't think it will give any answers

physio in the afternoon and, interestingly, told me there was far too much fluid in my legs and that is the reason I've been in more pain lately. guess they can't both be wrong.

won't buy any more yoghourt this week and see if it makes any difference.

still in a lot of pain from treatment so will take either stronger painkiller or sleeping pill tonight.

sorry about health!

socializing is not wasted time! good for your head and your heart.

walked both ways. first meeting was waste of time. second meeting was a no-show. i waited three quarters of an hour and had a pizza since we were meeting in the cafeteria. he emailed me 30 min before, but i was not at a computer.

Did you? I did better today: walked and went to exercise class.

Had to walk up short but steep slope to where friend had her car and felt extremely breathless. Did so for at least a couple of hours after I gof home. Am seeing cardiologist this week but I am sure he will say there's nothing more he can do to help me, as he usually does.

busy day again. would be happy with quiet weekend. meals on wheels, delivery, plumber, walked and bookclub this afternoon. very lively discussion.

life is full of temptations so we can only do our best. mow sent me some tiramisu and a piece of cranberry loaf instead of the fruit I had ordered. told me to keep it. luckily I know someone who loves things like that. will receive my fruit on monday. sometimes seems that temptation comes looking for us.

don't know yet whether I will buy a cd. if I do we'll let you know and deduct it from our dollars.

It isn't that sort of cd. the type I want is background music for while I'm using the computer.

I'm allowing us the occasional treat but only if we're good the rest of the week.

earned dollar but didn't walk today. cleaner in this morning, then had to wait for food delivery [driver got lost so arrived late]. after that had to wait for pantsuit ordered online to be delivered. by the time it arrived it was already dusk.

did quite a lot of physical household jobs so maybe that will help.

walked and got wet again but was better prepared for it. also earned a dollar. last entry I could find was on March 12 for $125.

scrabble group will not be meeting this week but a friend says she'd like to play but is very much a beginner. she's invited me over to her place to practise. ladybird says she's sure to offer us snacks. Always the plus and the minus!

keep wanting to buy another music cd but ladybird won't let me because she doesn't want to spend her dollars. she says she's quite happy if I buy more cutlery because that doesn't count but there are limits to how much I need!!!

Welcome back! I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow.

sounds as if you did very well. we didn't do badly either. walked most days. had slice of homemade currant loaf at friend's and chocolate chip cookie one day, resisted otherwise. fruit or yoghourt for dessert most days but too many nuts.

saw friends and neighbours every day so enjoyable.

would be better if i exercised instead of reading. but yes, reading is better than eating.
turtle let me have a chocolate chip cookie each day. didn't overeat at meals. fruit for desert. walked each day.

guess you're all ready to go.

at least your "obsession" won't make you put on weight and you did walk to library. cold but sunny this morning so plan to walk later.

ladybird says to tell turtle not to be too hard on you and to let you have some treats. I know you won't go overboard. the main thing is not to be left out of things.
