messy evening and no dollar. went to dancing class - teacher, person in charge of music and three members [inc. me]. we decided to wait 30m to see if others would arrive [some had already cancelled], debated on whether to dance - didn't, waste of time. maybe too hot for others.

always take water bottle, can refill at gym if want. cool, almost cold. also aquatic centre so pools: 50-metre outdoor and 25m indoor lap, 80m indoor waves, learners' and hydrotherapy. free use as part of membership.

it is harder to exercise in heat. take precautions. especially drink. don't overdo. air-conditioning?does the gym have pool?

i'm glad everything went well and you enjoyed yourself. our heat is back again so the thought of snow is very appealing. one of very few pluses is I hung a load of washing out after 5 p.m. and it will be dry before the cat and i watch the 7p.m. news.

on way there, bus driver said they might not come back because of storm. i arranged aide to stay a third day. she's really nice but not available during the week. she and parents are tolerating each other. so birthday party moved from sat to friday because of storm. we ended up getting a ride back with a neighbor tonight, so here i am. roads were actually completely cleared. full of salt and sugar and tired. one fruit and one salad per day! but it was nice to be with the family. haven't been able to go for close to a year. now i hope to try again in a few months.

women's doctors happy with me and my tests.
just returned from emergency room. hope all's well. hoping to go out of town tomorrow and return sunday morning. arranged aide to stay with my parents 48 hrs. hope everyone is ok and i don't get snowed in.

had a session of early mornings earlier this week and last - next three days not necessary before 8 but usually up by 7.
guy at gym horribly incapacitated, twitching violently, couldn't hold body up. personal trainer had to lift him, place him on machine and hold him. admire his courage.
treadmill, bike - but only 5min., still makes legs ache, weights and stretches.

very difficult.
tested, under medical supervision, doctor and nurses on call [he and she have beepers], driving licence taken away, have practical help. only thing i can do for now is visit, which they both seem to like.
hot and humid but must exercise later if ladybird is to get away from unfriendly "lady" turtle.

only one bad episode with cat in months.
no matter how long someone has been ill it's always a shock when they die.
very worried about local friends. she keeps forgetting who people are and quickly changes from loving to aggressive, especially with husband [so far ok with me]. saw him walking round at weekend - she'd said she hated him and told him to clear out. didn't dare invite him in 'cos she gets suspicious that people are plotting against her. he's much older, never fully recovered from foot op and still has to use stick. feeling desperate. knows he can call on me but can't really help.
it's cruel the way people and those who care about them suffer.
hot nights so not sleeping well. danced today - hot and sticky but enjoyable.
ladybird says most unfriendly. if that's how he feels ...

seems your friends on this thread like to collect new "diets" myrna used to do it too. wonder how she's doing. i've decided i have ADD. suspected it a while. read book today that confirmed it. explains some of my behavior. book says i need an assistant.i've been saying for years (decades) that i need a wife and a secretary. now i need a trainer and a chef, too.

disappointing!
had a spell of taking wrap with hard-boiled egg whites and salad for lunch when i was out. not bad.
deliberately had a day of no exercise. my body was telling me to take a break and i've ignored it too often in the past and paid the price. will be back on track tomorrow.

god boot-n-scoot. enjoy the dance class.
i also don't get enough protein.
jillian's program is relatively good. some exercises too hard for me. not enough exercise time for me. some menus too many calories (certainly won't allow for my milk and raisin fix--i wanted to ask nutritionist (please see below) for an alternative.). according to my tracker, she underestimates the calories, too. she uses egg whites for protein. pretty wholesome program.
minor frustration today. new health food store opened. featured a different nutritioniston hand every day this week. today i was free and they had a guy i wanted to talk to, so i went. he left early. i looked around, and though they had many shelves of snacks, none were healthful in my opinion. after looking at all the food, i ended up hungry and bought a brownie in another store. at least i got a 2 mile walk out of it. along with a circuit dvd, i earned my $.

what did you think of jillian's program?
tried it - tasted horrible - because i rarely seem to meet the recommended target for protein. trying to get more through food but limited success.

good doc visit with dad. brother went to stay with mom and i walked home with him. 3.5 miles. but overate. new project starts thursday. will have to spend less time on spark and "researching" diets. went through "abs diet for women" tonight. didn't learn anything. wonder if whey protein is a good thing??

glad you had a relaxing afternoon.
it was a former neighbor that i visited because she was homebound. she's been in an out-of-state facility for many months, so i haven't seen her in a while. she's been sick so long and suffered so much!! very, very nice person,though not really my type. her family seems ok.
husband of other (even younger) person in this category (who passed away a few months ago) is engaged to be married. we are glad for him because he was sooo loyal to her.
need to find someone else to visit. i do still go to an assisted living facility about once a week. i could add a local nursing home, but i do not want it to become a commitment.
colleague is still interested in having me work with him again. he says i won't be pressured. i don't believe him, but i'm proceeding. probably have 2 weeks to get my act together.
got up to take the bus. got there just as it pulled away. sneezing. disappointed son and grandson. i tried.

woken up early yesterday to go to funeral. caught up today, but how will i get up tomorrow. may have to take bus out of state. verizon downloades 3 months of email to outlook express. spent 2 hours cleaning it out. lady last time promised it wouldn't happen again! earned $ walking with leslie. but just finished!
