thanks. slept very well last night.

good. a/c tech came today and made a lot of adjustments to mine, including setting it to start automatically at 6 am. asked if I wanted it to turn off at 8pm. when I go to bed. if he only knew! at that time I'm just starting to feel like doing things. filters need to be cleaned every year. know how but a/c mounted high on wall and impossible for me to reach.

sorry your knee hurts. pity I can't let you have one of my yoga mats. also had physio. his father has recently had pacemaker fitted and is having AV node ablation today.

it is very disappointing that you still need to have colonoscopy.

sorry. hope you are sleeping well tonight. or is it 'slept well" already?

A/C isn't bad. shook it up again. would like it thoroughly cleaned.

cleaner found mouse droppings #5 and #6.

therapy was good today but it made my knee hurt again!

tried to do walking meditation on the way. probably lasted 15 seconds.

i thought i would make our critters so happy. i did a nice stretch on foam thing at therapy and i thought she would give it to me to do at home. but she didn't. she said i could buy one or roll up a towel. i was disappointed.

bigger disappointment: gastro called to say stool test results require colonoscopy. don't have time. may have to miss a therapy session, which is unfortunate. not looking forward to the prep or the procedure! no choice now. i tried. hope insurance covers both! i just noticed an ad popped up for the stool screening. often they pop up after i buy something. too late.

did strength for mc and a few others (some like therapy). quiet day.

still don't meditate well, even tho they say not to judge myself. was thinking of MC and planning to tell you about thinking :)

feel like a slight cold. sticky hands again. can't figure them out.

manipulated and put me on recumbent elliptical. i'm fine, now.

glad you found it. i hate searching.

good you managed to walk. i walked a little today in the heat. not humid.

do our critters approve of buttered scone? i had watermelon, yummy cherries and cashews.

a/c wasn't dripping and emitted awful smell. i suspected stagnant water inside. we pushed it around while thinking about replacing it and seems we unclogged it, somewhat. smell much less. we ran it last night and i slept very well. would like to get it cleaned if i knew whom to ask that wouldn't charge more than cost of new machine.

everybody is promoting bone broth and coconut oil.

sorry you're having such a bad time. does he just manipulate problem areas or use equipment?

no . needed certificate of citizenship. found it eventually.

cold wind but walked.

met friends for coffee and had buttered scone.

why can't you use air conditioner in bedroom? too noisy or too cold? whatever you do, I hope you sleep well. shut bedroom window last night but still very noisy because of wind.

was kind of recumbent elliptical. comfortable seat. much better than standing. couldn't do that. stress test scheduled in a week. plan to postpone. have begun physical therapy for knees and hips. always told you i wanted to. don't enjoy it. boring and painful. hurt a little at night. couldn't sleep. suspect intestines. i don't consciously feel them (unless i have heartburn, which i didn't), but they keep me up.

garden will wait. sorry you didn't get out.

so frustrating looking for lost document. so sorry. still working on old finances?

enjoy the weekend. will be hot here and not sure i'll be able to use a/c in bedroom. may have to sleep in l/r where we have two couches and a recliner.

gardener should have come but too wet and too wet for me to go out.

much nicer in the park but I walked a lot in shopping centre.

slept more last night but still tired. did headspace meditation today as it's sitting and didn't want to risk a longer one lying down as I might fall asleep and it could affect sleeping at night.

glad you enjoyed dancing and hope she will have regular classes again. be interesting to see what happens with MC now Lynn has mailed members. Good idea of yours.

I have to earn dollars now as physio said today he thought it would be a good idea to get minicycle. . i'll check with class instructor next week if the one she can get does what he wants. I keep finding damp spots where ladybird has landed and sat weeping over the dollars she will lose.

i don't like being sick so often, either. and i don't like your problems.

danger of high cholesterol is more plaque in my arteries and risk of heart attack. i don't need to ask him.

glad you slept better and hope you have a good day.

book would have cost 5 times the price. glad they found it. also glad i was proven right.

really enjoyed dancing. there were only 6 of us. she wants at least 10. will try again in 3 weeks and hope everyone is available. $155 (had to go back several pages to get amount. we will both keep this up now.

I worry about you - you get sick so often.

good about lungs. I hate medical intervention of any kind as well. Does cardio tell you what the consequences could be if you don't follow his advice?

I cancelled all appointments yesterday and didn't go to u3a today either. I slept better last night and, weather permitting, hope to go for a short walk tomorrow.

good. I spilt something on a book some time ago and offered to pay for a new one. I could have got it for 1/3 of the price they charged me.

i'm improving but i don't like the sound of you!!! what was the cause? did you see doc? good you did eye exercises. sometimes ladybird is right.

sorry, i meant i didn't gain weight from overeating what i prepared.

good posts fixed. i don't think i ever had what you lost.

cardio says lungs clear. wants to do stress test soon. really wants repeat CT scans. i don't want dye or x-rays. wants statins, or at least zetia. i don't.

the library found the book they claimed i didn't return. glad to save 21 dollars. they wouldn't let me replace it with a 4 dollar book from amazon.

do you mean you didn't gain anything financially or in pleasure?

problem re recent posts has been fixed but still prefer them where they were before.

my busy day never eventuated. horrible night - less than two hours' sleep. cramps in legs and feet, skin irritation, aches and pains, staggered out of bed to cancel appointments [4] then lay down on bed in other bedroom for several hours. got up for a while and decided to meditate, which I did then fell asleep again.

feeling a bit better now and ladybird insisted I did my eye exercises.

no. this is a group of women that gets together. i didn't gain from having them.

a bit but very tired, did and did.

wish you didn't keep getting sick and hope you'll soon be over this bout. it's not good but it was probably wise to cancel for Sunday. I read somewhere that coconut oil could help with digestive problems but don't know if it's true.

very cold but sunny and dry today and should be tomorrow. only very short walk but maybe laundry [using outside clothes line] and sweeping out the garage will help.

bought papaya, which I hadn't done for ages, and have chopped some of it up. am looking forward to having it for breakfast.

husband better. i'm still sick.

yes turtle staying here with me saturday. basically serving fruit , nuts and seltzer. so the issue is quantity.

said no to sunday, regretfullly.

my digestion is worse. want someone to fix my microbiome.

It was a header on the top right of the page and Spark has just moved it. I don't get it on start page, full or quick, which they suggest trying. have messaged them.

hope the result is good.

sorry you and husband are still not well.

still not 100% and very tired but improving. met friends for coffee and had a short walk. got severe cramp in leg. might ask doc for referral for blood tests next week but don't want medication.

we seem to spend half our lives going to medical appointments, looking for docs, etc.

is turtle invited on Saturday? I hope you feel much better by Sunday but you still might not feel up to going.

good re dollar. advantage of being stuck in, i guess. hard to do it all.
my browser finds my recent posts and it's on my spark start page. not sure what you mean by "lost".
glad u r better and cleaner came.
sent off sample today. hope my "cold" doesn't affect it.
yes, spend the time to get a/c right.
annoying to have t get up early for delivery. detracts from its convenience.
still sick (not very). missed chance to go bird watching with friends. husband sick, too. but i'm coughing. lung doc booked for 2 weeks.will call me back today or tomorrow. i guess he's for chronic conditions, not acute. he's also taking it easier i suspect. not young. i must find a good GP. can't find anyone young (low 40's) with good reputation. hesitate to start with 55-65.
neighbors scheduled to come here saturday. will be tempted to overeat food i put out. grandso's birthday party sunday. guess i won't go by bus. not even sure if i can go if i get a ride.

have you lost the "my recent posts" option? i have and it's very frustrating.

a lot better than yesterday but not up to walking. cleaner came after gap of four weeks while she was on holiday.

a much easier option.

air conditioning much improved since it was adjusted but still not doing all it should. I don't intend to let it go at that so will have to waste more time on it.

the only delivery time slot for food orders for tomorrow is 6-9 a.m. so no chance of a lie-in.

thanks. at least i lost weight :) my tracker is honest again.in time to tell cardiologist next week that i'm still maintaining. he wanted me to lose 10 pounds.
hope you are better soon. i don't like this dormant thing waiting to ambush you. take it easy.
i have had quite a few colonoscopies. i do them without anesthesia cause i fear meds. neither prep nor procedure is fun. sending off a stool sample is preferable. i hope it gives accurate results.

not feeling well either. vertigo started when physio was leaving and got much worse after so spent most of day lying down. a little better now but still wobbly. only good [?] thing is I won't be overeating.

never had polyps but husband did and had to have colonoscopy. said drinking the liquid the day before was horrible and was often a bit disorientated afterwards. hope the other procedure is better for you.

hoping we'll both be OK again soon.

i cancelled walk in botanic gardens cuz i have a little fever. she is actually trying to get a dance class together tonight. i think foolish for me to go. lucky i didn't have to go in to work today. doing nothing at home.

have decided to try cologuard test instead of colonoscopy. it's actually not approved for people who have had polyps in the past, but my doc says it's good enough and i prefer less invasive option, if possible.

I need to be sure myself before I decide.

am happy you had good results. it's a problem to find doc you are happy with and trust.

good. gale force winds here and bitterly cold. guy who installed air conditioning came today. was here for over an hour adjusting it and it's much better now.

motorists have been warned to be extra careful tomorrow as there will be black ice on the roads so we might have to cancel going to the shopping centre. I prefer to choose my own food but can order online if necessary.

i think I should start earning dollars again.

you should insist. good use of your (her ? :) ) dollars. i once considered it, but decided against it. i think my desk is too low.

people said they were interested in dance class, but then had other obligations by the time she called to confirm.

his exam was good. waiting for pap smear and blood results. he said last year that i would not need a pap smear this year. this year he forgot why he said it and insisted i have one. i'm ready to replace him. he was a very good doctor and was nice, but...seems all good docs i hear about are my age bracket. i prefer younger replacements and can't find any.
walked my hour and entered my food. i think i earned my $ today. it's been a while!

perhaps we could share it.

walk sounds nice. very cold and windy here. I know exactly what you mean.

exercise class. teacher gave talk on falls and brought in some pieces of equipment people could use at home to increase strength and balance. she can get them heavily discounted. only thing I don't have already is mini cycle, which can be used for arms and legs. big attraction would be that it can be used while watching TV, reading, etc. ladybird rushed me out mutterlng about her dollars but would have to pay up if I insisted.

why didn't you have dance class? not enough people?

not so sure i'd let you win first prize. i'm very good at procrastinating, too. you beat me with dentists, i think.
very pleasant walk by the water in the evening. not very fast. attacked some piles of papers today. wish i could prevent them from growing.
gynecologist tomorrow. rather go to dance class. btw, almost had one last week, but it didn't happen. not sure if she'll try again this tuesday.

walked but, apart from that everything which could go wrong did. nothing serious but just too many frustrations. even bookclub was cancelled.

have been doing gums but feel as if plaque is building up already. got OK from cardiologist and bought electric toothbrush but haven't used it yet.

glad you got your walk. i got about 45 min. was able to wait in gas station and hop on bus for the downpour.

no cavities. gums not great. really must pay attention to them along with everything else. haven't been good. been going to dentist every 4 mo instead of 3. hope it's not foolish.

didn't know about heart muscle so it was a bit of a blow but could account for why I get so little improvement from the cardio I do, unlike strength training which shows results.

shame on you! sounds as if next week's MC will be drinking water.

disappointing visit to cardiologist today 150/70. nothing unusual on 20/6 when I had good result from doctor but four episodes of higher than usual fibrillation. said heart muscle damaged - OK contracting but stiff relaxing and no medical procedure exists to rectify it or stop it getting worse. said I either had to accept I had heart disease and live with it or live with constant frustration and heart disease. would not relax fluid restrictions but only bright spot is he agreed to reduce the strength of the blood pressure tablets, even though he said he didn't believe it would help me.

went to shopping centre in the afternoon and did lots of walking.

walked and did headspace meditation. go back to it occasionally but not thinking of rejoining.

my hand-held weights go up to 7lbs [bought way back before we switched to metric but can't use it since shoulder op].use lower weight than usual in class if I've had physio treatment that day. also have ankle weights ranging from .5 to 2 kilos.

guess I could read books on Kindle too but am feeling cynical about it all at the moment.

i'm spending the time to read doidge's book. and the other, too.

bad your weather is so bad. good you were able to stay home. need a winter workout for you. walked to and through park with brother. pleasant.

found a standing one which is quite hard but getting easier and think it's helping to ease pain in one leg.

only use natural products..

don't know what to think of doidge. I believe positive thinking can make a difference but to how great an extent?? Norman Cousins wrote that he cured himself through laughing and I think there are groups who follow this idea.
there is a retired neuropsychologist in u3a class. asked her about meditation and subliminal messages - said profession accepted that meditation could make changes to the brain but not enough info on suibliminal.

even colder, especially with wind chill factor, so settled for staying home and concentrating on stretching, etc.

hope you find helpful exercise you can do. what's good for one part isn't good for another. frustrating.

glad you managed to walk.

pleasant warm day. had cherries by neighbor. people getting older and having medical problems.

somebody is using a detergent or chemical that bothers me.

I was looking at hip flexors, in particular psoas muscles, as they can affect the legs. some of the simpler ones are very similar to those recommended by my physio. more difficult ones done on floor OK to get down but can't put weight on shoulder to get up.

I bought something from thrive once when I was physically unable to get to health store here. arrived safely. they seem to have some interesting products but not practical for me to buy from overseas.

bitterly cold but managed to walk between showers.

just made an order from thrive market, a new health food place online recommended by mindbodygreen. hope they are legit. i also get too many emails from these places.

yes, bills must be paid if we want the services.

i think blueberries constipate me and that makes me eat!!!. they are supposed to be so good for you.

I spend too much time looking up health sites online, hoping to find something to help me.

I hate filing and tend to put it off. the only thing I deal with immediately is paying bills.

slept well, thanks. felt good. such a difference!! hope you did, too.

i mean "time disabled" rather than overfull schedule. i have a real problem. you are obviously faster and more efficient than i am. i also have many doctors and things to do which i don't. and i need to rely on experts instead of learning it all myself. and i should hire a filing clerk.

would be great if you could reduce meds.

Fantastic news about jaw. You deserve a good result after being so patient. Did you take any extra vitamins/minerals to help bone to grow? No excuses now for not looking after gums.

I keep chopped fresh fruit in meal-size glass jars in fridge. hard fruit lasts longer. sliced apple will keep for over a week in a zip-lock bag in fridge.

there must be meditation classes in your area but they would add something else to do. I tend to forget if I'm walking and really like to lie on bed in second bedroom to meditate. it is also the best way I know to ease pain in shoulders.

don't be too hard on yourself. you do very well in the circumstances. obviously you are more time-challenged than I am because you are still working but I have a lot of medical appointments, with instructions on what I should do every day, then take on more commitments and then feel guilty when I can't keep them all. I'm just hoping that if I can reduce the medication I won't feel so tired all the time.

does your chopped fruit last all week?
surgeon says jaw has grown back completely. it actually looks denser than the other side.. must return in a year to check the cyst hasn't grown back.

got off stop early and walked extra from bus. carried heavy stuff. my pocket book weighs a ton. took two books and water, too. read a little. meditation/mindfulness is really in. why must i become my own expert? need to just go to someone. i'm a nut. i have enough t do for my job. i feel like i have multiple careers. hard for a time challenged/mismanaged person. too stressful. should have just looked at the trees along the highway. i didn't even see the water!!. nature is big these days, too. watching the people in the "big" city is interesting, too.

miss my dance class too. also no belly dancing today as half-term break.

I know what you mean. I quite like small Lebanese cucumbers as a snack. As you say, nuts are too high in calories.

TV health program I watch said dark chocolate good but limit it to two squares a day.

Decided not to brave the weather today. did a lot of catching up with documents and chopping up fruit to have with cereal and yoghourt during the week.

i miss my dance class. will do online video, but not the same.

i did two videos and was sure i'd be able to claim my dollar, but...

i'm working hard on a project and overeating before i know it. it's like i get distracted when i focus on something else. i must record my food. nuts and seeds are high in fat and calories. gum gives me gas. i need to chew. will have to try celery. the strings would last a while if i wouldn't swallow them unchewed, as i usually do :)

good. much better for me last night.

busy day good and bad:-

errand - got soaked.
doc - thrilled with blood pressure of 120/60 and steady pulse. hope it stays like that. ok for salicylic acid in cranberry juice and fruit as anticoagulant will protect me. said disadvantage was the natural sugars contain a lot of calories. there's always a catch!
physio said calves still very tight, as if I didn't know
meeting OK.
exercise class - tired by then but glad I went.

could but last time I got a sub spent so much time showing her what i wanted and where things were that it wasn't worth it. won't be too bad if I do a little each day. won't be able to move heavy furniture but have stick vacuum which is very light.

have one line undercover and one not outside. this time we misjudged the weather and hung sheets on wrong one. have electric dryer but it's mounted on the wall and I can't reach it now. no space in laundry to put it somewhere else but everything dries quite quickly on airing rack.

woke in the night and took quite a while to go back to sleep. frustrating. hope you had/are having a good night.

thanks. sufficient sleep is really important. something i missed out on for too long.

choose to feel accomplished by doing chores. consider them unpleasant exercise, too.you can't ignore the house for 4 weeks. can you get a sub?

yucky to have wet sheet for 3 days. what do you usually do in wet/cold season? i used to hang on lines in basement. actually dried faster when the heat was on. now i have an electric dryer.

pleasant day. ate mango by neighbor.

rainy and miserable again today. sheets have been out on the line for three days but there's no way I can get them off while they're wet.

did a few household chores - cleaner will not be coming for nearly four weeks as she's going on holiday - but feel I wasted the day.

thanks. didn't work today. went back to sleep. then did jillian online to lose some of the three pounds i gained overnight.
out of the house means not my own in home food.
i didn't even try to talk to the strangers this time. i am also usually able to talk.
no way i will photograph my food, either.

we share FOMO. must learn to filter. someday...

sorry you're having such a bad night but don't understand "out of the house".

I also have a fair degree of FOMO and get annoyed with myself for wasting time. looked at the link. interesting but I wouldn't have the patience to do it.

you did well at the wedding but unfortunate that, for you, it was a social disaster. like you, I can usually talk to most people but remember the occasional times when I had to go to a function run by the company where my husband worked and all they wanted to talk about was themselves.

I didn't get Lynn's post until Wednesday evening, my time.

I hope you don't have to go in to work today and can catch up on some sleep,

msg 2. ate chicken, beef, quinoa, avocado, a few string beans, pineapple and 4 small sweets. drank water. my husband estimates we walked 4 miles. met 2 people i know, but they left even before the ceremony because things dragged on so. we left shortly after the first dance began. the music was literally deafening. i knew nobody except the parents of the bride and my husband. i found a book to read part of the time, else i would have been verrry bored. i did not eat out of boredom, a distinct possibility.

lynn posted a new challenge.

sorry you got soaked and cold :( but glad you walked.

i enjoyed walk. but more social than real exercise , i fear. became aware of FOMO. why i must read, subscribe to, or watch everything available.

i'm already a pound over and i have a wedding tonight. this one might be all buffet style. that means i can eat many meals. probably won't be able to ask for package. will have to be strong and just leave it behind. it's my husband's friend and i probably won't know people. will be a challenge.

some good, some necessary.

yesterday - language class, belly dancing [fun but tiring] and st&b. four-week break from u3a and seems there will be no st&b next term. computer tech, who was visiting someone a couple of streets away, said he'd call in to sort out a problem for me. got delayed and arrived late so we finished at about 5+ hours. got to bed about 1.00.

today physiotherapist. his father had a pacemaker put in last week so was interested in my experiences. still tired but had to go to shopping centre, which at least meant plenty of walking.

good for you exercising but it really is a vicious circle: exercise - hunger - eat - need more exercise. ladybird says we're lucky to have her and turtle to guide us.
