better than nothing. have to stay in today for delivery and for blood tests but not sorry as it's raining heavily.

couple of darker patches but won't know exactly what they are until all the plaque has been removed. orthodontist if necessary, don't think braces would help. have garlic.

glad you have happy plans for the weekend. i'm meeting friends tomorrow. we deserve our me time.

walked only briefly today.

want the benefits of meditation, but it does not come easy to me.

didn't the xray show what's wrong? hope your homemade rinse does the trick. garlic? orthodintist? braces? i don't like meds any more than you, but you must get rid of infection. don't want root canal.
i'm sure you'll sort out the finances even if you won't enjoy it.
hope you slept well and rested up.
enjoy the (entire) weekend. i'm looking forward to visiting former downstairs neighbor and another old friend.

Congratulations - you really are following the advice to exercise but somehow I don't feel you're too enthusiastic about meditation.

Busy day and very tired now.

1. had to go and get teeth x-rayed.
2. grocery shopping.
3. accountant came round to discuss my tax return and tell me which information he needs. guess that will give me something to sort out over the weekend.
4. dentist. removed a lot of plaque but still a lot still there. says it has damaged gums and suggested antibiotics to clear up infection. when i said I didn't want pharmaceuticals he was happy to suggest I make up a mouthwash with natural ingredients so that's encouraging. don't know at this stage if there's anything lurking under back teeth which would need orthodontist but he is hoping to avoid it.

don't want to be too late to bed as I have to be up early tomorrow.

danced and biked and earned my $.

i have something called CALM on my computer. looks like a 7 day mindfulness program. can't remember where i got it. also says to focus on my breath. but i'm typing as i breathe!!

at least you were preparing healthy food. we were weak and had a chocolate biscuit with our coffee in the interval at the film session. eight people came, seemed pleasant.

bad about wrist. didn't it help not using computer for two days?

Dentist is dental surgeon. took bite x-rays - OK. wants me to have more comprehensive x-ray to check beneath back teeth. said plaque very bad, will need several sessions to remove and be unpleasant but was expecting this [previous local dentist didn't do a good job at all]. told me I was doing all the right things but plaque was preventing mouthwash getting to gums. pleasant and seems competent.

glad you walked. still have quite a lot of pain but will try tomorrow.

long weekend. glad because busy time next week.

have dental appointment for tomorrow. person who recommended him has been a patient for many years and is very satisfied.

understand your feelings about dentist, but must still urge you to be checked and cleaned.

thanks. finishing off some stuff this week and then an easier week.

after a full, hard day, i did a workout. (have you looked at sparkpeople.tv? maybe you can find something you can do. click near upper right of the screen. you can enter limitations.) pleased i did it. now to learn not to leave it for last. hope i can fall asleep cuz early day tomorrow.

it is but too strong for my skin. just meant present one is natural too.

not good at all. life is worrying.

gardener came so don't have to water tomorrow, which is a relief.

shopping centre and have bought orthotics. I shall only be able to wear them with walking shoes as they wouldn't fit into others. exhausted afterwards and achy so didn't do strength exercises.

you're right but I've has some dentists in the past who've done more harm than good. wish I could go back to the one I trust.

if you won't be able to use the computer for two weekends, I hope you'll use the time to relax and do something enjoyable.

glad you are improving. is arnica not natural? forgot to put it yesterday and my thighs were achy today. walked both ways. gorgeous day.

you're right. my LDL is too high. arterial plaque puts me at risk for a heart attack. cholesterol increases both.

1. hope no warfarin.
2. go.
3.does thyroid medicine interfere with your sleep? else why not raise it? it's one of the safest medicines.
4. no comment
5. ditto
6. orthotics can't hurt.
7. ouch!! for how long will you have to use the drops?

find a dentist. i know it's against our nature, but less than perfect dentist is probably better than none. talk to everyone you meet.

truth!

too busy this week to think. frustrated at work by malfunctioning copy/scan machine. wasted an hour. glad i had cleaner. just 2 hrs. per week makes a big difference. would take me at least twice as long. it's exercise, but it hurts my back.

may not get to computer next 2 weekends. may not remember to tell you again.

not too bad. have used arnica but now use another one [natural] which is better for me. exercised at home.

thought hdl was the good one. is the arterial plaque affecting your blood pressure? have heart monitor but haven't looked at it for years and don't know how accurate it is.

that's a pretty poor reason for not giving you a stress test. don't think they'll ever suggest giving me another one because my pace maker wouldn't be able to cope. I'm glad you at least got some good results.

My list:
1.need blood analysis [scared he may put me back on warfarin]
2. need general check up [surgery does this every year]
3. would like me to take higher dose of thyroid medication - have said no
4. didn't weigh me and tracker is not correct but wants me to lose weight
5. more exercise - if only!!!
6. physio has given me more exercises to do and wants me to try wearing orthotics for walking.
7. also have to use drops in eyes, which sting badly, about four times daily to try to dry out cornea.

have been flossing but visit to dentist is long overdue. don't know how to find a good one.

well, we both have a lot to do and so do turtle and ladybird. not fun but no choice really.

also hope you won't ache.do you use arnica? i put it on my aching thighs yesterday and they are fine today.

cuz my hdl is too high especially for someone with arterial plaque.
wants me to:
1. take statins -i'm still refusing
2. lose 10 pounds- i wish, but wishing ain't enough
3. ride bike 30 min fast daily. keep walking.
4. get a heart rate monitor
5. deal with stress (mindfulness??)
6. return in 3 mo.
ok, turtle and ladybird. you've got your work cut out for you.
and i'd better start taking care of my gums.

my ekg and echocardiogram are good. wants them to stay that way. he didn't redo stress test (because insurance pays too little!!!). it wasn't good at high numbers last 2 times.

$151. gotta do this daily!!!

know how you feel. glad you got your key back.

agree. always try to escape to another room while she works.

no exercise. had physio and was in a lot of pain afterwards. had to take pain killers [which I hate doing] and spent all afternoon lying on bed. had arranged to go to film group but had to cancel. feeling a bit better now and friend rang this evening to tell me about it, which cheered me up.

tough day. because i was nervous about being evaluated (still don't like it) i lost my key. it was given in by someone, so i have it back.

cleaner here. i don't enjoy the experience. wish i could just push a button. need a robot.

great! you earned a reward.

had to wait in for delivery this morning and bookclub this afternoon. got a lift both ways. not a recent book but very well written and gave rise to some quite animated discussion.

ladybird says turtle will have to work extremely hard in may.

not as good as I would like yet but much better than a week ago.

tested my blood today. found a new loser place of which my doctor approved. of course, there's a story, but too long to write. results in a week!
walked over 20 min. not enough. underate (so far) cause skipped breakfast for blood test

helped a bit and told me which exercises to concentrate on but neither of us very happy.

I've also known sober taxi drivers who did not drive well - dashing up to traffic lights, stopping at the last moment and not paying enough attention to other traffic. .I hoe you can sort it out satisfactorily soon as you need driver service.

rainy and cold [crazy weather] but walked a lot at the shopping centre.

sorry you still hurt. hoping physio helps.

yes, i'm afraid of driving after drinking.they send whoever is available at the moment, or whoever is next on line, i guess. i never got involved before. i asked who they were sending. i know two names that are ok. i don't know the name of the guy i don't want. i don't sense that he's driving poorly. i can't drive, so hard for me to judge, but i usually know. i've had some sober drivers who were not particularly good at it.

still aching - didn't exercise. physio tomorrow so hope he can help.

unfortunately, there's no way to avoid it. just concentrate on how good it will be when you have time off.

do you think his drinking could lead to an accident? can you get another driver? if you're seriously worried that he is not fully in control when driving, I think you must do something. it is too risky otherwise.

you're getting in a lot of walking. hope you're feeling the benefit. did short walk and went to exercise class - reluctantly. felt much more achy than usual but at least I did it.

hope you feel all better.

will take me a while to get to headspace book. have some due earlier.

enjoy the film class. lift is important. i haven't joined a dance class because of it.

looks nice out. wanted to go take blood test, but doc sick. he has pneumonia. wonder if he didn't take the shot or he took it and it didn't work. as you can imagine, i haven't taken it.

i walked over 2.11 miles. felt like more, though.

painful today and wet and gloomy outside. remembered some ointment I bought ages ago and it's helped a bit.

there seem to be so many programs for curing/avoiding illnesses - a lot of which recommend the foods I already eat. that doesn't stop my reading them. Nearly always have fresh or frozen fruit [at least two types] with cereal for breakfast. Which Headspace book do you have?

I need to get new cd player sorted out tomorrow and continue listening to book [started on old player] as I'm leading the discussion at the next club meeting.

good. hope legs all better, soon.

gorgeous out. will go get new library book that came in. have "how not to die" .won't renew 'cuz 31 people waiting to read it and i'm not managing it. also have headspace book that i'm not reading. not the diet version. and must do some work work. so doing nothing....
...
procrastinating on work.

found i did more of the book than i thought. finishing and returning it.

i like frozen blueberries, strawberries and mango-either blended or just cut. don't have them often enough.

lots of walking at shopping centre, then had to walk again on errand. legs not happy.

feel more satisfied today.

walked. it was good your walking with brother. any chance of doing it more often?

met friends for coffee. most seemed jaded and not at all interested in food.

bought boombox but doesn't work properly. even manufacturer said return it. I expect to get refund but it's just the time and effort involved.

did I tell you I had to have drops specially ordered to overcome the swelling in the cornea? it took more than four weeks for them to arrive but they're here at last.

had long 'phone chat with friend who's been in hospital but is home now. still has a way to go but is so happy to be back again.
