Norman Vincent Peale is a favorite author and teacher of mine and he places focus on bible affirmations and here is one that I want to share with everyone.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me Philippians 4:13
If you are feeling defeated repeat this verse 10 times out loud and you will regain the strength that you need. This is very helpful to me.

If you are going to do something wonderful for yourself do this one thing everyday. Be mindful of your thoughts and only think of thoughts where you are successful and happy. Get rid of negative thoughts right away. If you do this everyday you will help to manifest good and positive things will be attracted to you. This really works by golly!

Lighten up
It is a hard thing to do, especially if you are a woman. We do everything for everyone and we end up being so hard on ourselves. We can do this though without 'losing' ourselves. Lighten up with laughter, simplicity, and fun. Enjoy the simple things everyday and then you can deal with life better.

Today is a good day to slow down and be aware of your senses. A good idea here is to create your own shrine in which to pray and meditate as well as awaken the senses. Place a water fountain there, add some candles, incense, a shell or stones, some flowers, and put on some calming music. Now just enjoy your space and get "lost" in it. Enjoy!

Practice taking deep breaths every day. I never really thought that doing this simple thing would have such a profound result. Just by giving your mind and body oxygen can make you feel better instantly. It nourishes every cell and renews you. So, try it! Sit and take some deep breaths for 10 minutes every day, it'll do you good, trust me!

My current realization is to live for now, in the moment. It is so important because our past has already happened and we can't do anything about it. And the future hasn't happened yet. So why waste precious time worrying or dwelling when there is nothing we can do about it.

I just watched Joyce Meyers this morning and her teachings realy struck a chord with me. She exclaimed that we need to truly love ourselves and there are three principles to doing so.
1. Be righteous 2. Be peaceful 3. Be joyful
If there is something you need or something missing in your life you need to give it.
It is returned back to you. There couldn't be any more truth than that.
