Wow, well I went on a 3rd antibiotic, developed tendonitis, am hoping the sinus problem is gone, because I had to stop taking antibiotics. I also have to stop exercising. Yikes! I've gained 6.5 pounds already because I haven't been running or jumping since starting the antibiotic because I knew tendonitis was a possible side effect. I guess it's time to really watch what I eat!

I'm still doing pretty good eight days later. I've lost another 1.5 pounds. I had 3 days in there that weren't so good. (I gained 3 pounds.) However, I am back on track and continuing to exercise and eat healthy. I feel so much better. I had a CT scan because of the sinus infections and it was normal. I have an appointment with the ENT specialist on Monday morning so hopefully he can help me so I don't get these headaches all the time. I plan to keep up with the healthy habits through General Conference weekend. It may take a little creativity to overcome the 8 hours of sitting on my butt, but I can do it!

I feel great! I've lost 6 pounds in the last 10 days. I've been eating healthy, I've been exercising regularly, and I feel so much more hopeful about my health. Tonight I am going to Curves after my son's orthodontist appointment and perhaps a walk around the lake too! I've been enjoying the exercise, even if I'm a little bit sore today.

Yesterday was a great day, I exercised, I ate right and I didn't lose any weight. Just have to remember that that will happen sometimes! Today I plan to go to Curves and continue eating healthy. If it's not raining, maybe I will even sneak in a walk around the lake?

What do you know?! It worked! I lost 2 pounds over the weekend! I'm definitely making good progress. I am going to keep it up by eating right and getting in some exercise after work today. I'm hoping to go for a walk with my family this evening.

Had a good day yesterday and lost half a pound. Back on track! It is Friday! I need to come up with a plan to get through the weekend without gaining weight. I plan to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, eat healthy, portion controlled meals, and drink lots of water.

Two steps forward, one step back...I did great yesterday, but I had a hair appointment right after work and had 30 minutes between that and Young Women, so I had a quick salad for dinner. I was so hungry by the time I got home, I ate way too much junk food and never did find time to exercise. At least I didn't gain any weight and I can get right back on track. I went to the doctor this morning and am now on another course of more potent antibiotics to try to get rid of this stupid sinus infection. Hopefully it works this time! Tonight I am going to Curves and will do my best to eat a healthy dinner out with my boys and not eat too much!

It felt so good to get in a workout yesterday! After my workout, I wasn't craving unhealthy food so I had a healthy dinner. According to the scale, I lost 1.5 pounds yesterday and I feel much better today. I still don't feel great, but better! If I can keep motivated, hopefully I will feel great soon.

Almost 2 months later, I have gained 6 pounds. I've been sick with a sinus infection, I haven't been exercising, I've been eating all sorts of junk and I feel terrible. I just finished antibiotics and I think I still have a sinus infection. I have heartburn. I can barely zip my pants. I desperately need to find that person who lost 30 pounds, ate right, and exercised regularly. I remember I rarely got sick when I was taking such good care of myself. *sigh* Where did that girl go? I still haven't gained that first 10 pounds I originally lost, but I have gained the last 20. Somehow, I am going to find that girl again and get healthy.

I had an awesome time fishing but gained weight because I ate a ton and didn't get any exercise. However, I ate right, exercised and lost 3 pounds yesterday so I'll just have to try to stay on track and get the rest of the weight I gained back off. Today is Friday. Yay! I have 2 softball games again tonight and hope to protect my legs a little better this week. Tomorrow I have a youth temple trip so hopefully I'll figure out a way to get exercise since I'll miss my usual Curves workout. I like what someone said recently. Weight loss is 80% food related. I just have to find ways to prevent myself from continuing to constantly stuff it in my mouth!

Thanks, UKNOWITNOW! Well, I did play 2 games of softball and not only did we lose both, but I brought home 2 big swollen and painful softball sized bruises on my right lower leg. They are more painful today, 4 days later, than they were when I got them! I lost 1 pound that day. However, I've gained 5 since. I'm just having a really hard time staying motivated. Tomorrow I'm going on a guided fishing trip and so all my usual routines are out the window. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

It has been 3 days since my last post and I have gained half a pound. Grrr.... If there is one thing that I know for sure, it is that I am determined. I am not going to give up until I get there, even if it's a year from now! Tonight I get to play 2 games of softball in the 90 degree weather. I'm looking forward to it! I'll be exercising, drinking lots of water, and hopefully losing some pounds!

Whoa, I guess it has been 11 days since my last post. During that time, I have lost half a pound. Well, I lost 2.25, but gained some back. It is so hard to be consistent, especially during long holiday weekends! I'm working at it though and I'm not giving up. My plan today is to go to Curves and then to the batting cages for some hitting practice before Friday's games.

I'm back! I had a good day and the scale says I am down another 1.5 pounds this morning. I am glad the weather cooperated so I could go to softball practice. Unfortunately, only 2 of us showed up. However, I knew of another team practicing elsewhere, so we joined them and had a good time. Never give up, right? Today we have a double header and I really hope the weather can help me out again! It doesn't look good according to the weather reports. If it is rained out, I am going to go to the gym and get a good workout since I missed Wednesday and my husband has plans. Hopefully I can stay active this weekend and keep up the healthy momentum!

Phew! I made it through the day yesterday and managed to eat healthy, fit in some exercise and see a 2 pound loss on the scale this morning. It's about time I had some good news! I'm looking forward to doing some strength training at Curves after work. I hope the weather will cooperate so we can practice softball tonight.

*Sigh* Yeah, that didn't happen. I did end up in the break room at work and ate everything I could find, was too tired to exercise, went home, ate some more, got some sleep, but not quite enough, and gained another 2.5 pounds. Tonight is normally my most vigorous exercise of the week. However, I get to go to a meeting instead so it looks like tonight will be another disappointment. However, I do think I can prevent myself from eating too much so hopefully I can get that back under control, get to bed at a decent hour and maybe even fit in a little bit of exercise. Tomorrow should be better. I have nothing planned but Curves and softball practice after work.

Well, crap, life happens, doesn't it. I had a plan written down and I was going to eat right, exercise, and go to bed early to make up for the lost sleep the night before. However, I left right from work to go to Seattle to pick up my grandson who was stranded and didn't get dinner until late and I was starving and had to grocery shop and went home and went to bed. No exercise and no extra sleep for me. I am so stinking tired right now. I'm resisting the urge to go into the break room at work and eat everything. I plan to go to my hair appointment after work tonight and then concentrate on getting lots of exercise and then go home and go to bed!

Well, the weekend went pretty good until I still wasn't able to talk to Justin after getting him on the bus at 4am Wednesday morning and getting a text at 10am saying, "On the road" when he should have been in the air for 2 hours by then. I called, I left messages, I texted, and he never got in touch with me until this morning. Anyway, I was a mess and ate everything I could find resulting in a stomach ache and a 2 pound gain this morning. However, everything is okay now and I should be able to get right back on track. I am still hoping to weigh 140 or less by the 4th of July. That leaves me 12 days to lose 4.5 pounds. I know that is a lot to expect, but 2 of those pounds should come back off really quick considering they went on in the matter of a few hours. I am determined to do my best!

I'm on a roll! The scale was very kind indeed and I lost another half a pound. I may even make it into the 130's by the 4th of July! My goal is 140 and I have 3 pounds to go. I've been really good at sticking to my eating and exercising plans lately and it shows! Tonight I have a double header so I'll get in lots of exercise, especially since we may be short women. The weekend will be a good test to see if I can stay on track. That is definitely my plan!

Ta da! The scale showed a 1 pound loss this morning! I followed through with my healthy plans yesterday and am seeing progress. I hope to keep it up by getting in a workout at Curves after work and probably attending softball practice this evening. I'll keep eating healthy and drinking lots of water and hopefully the scale will continue to be kind. emoticon

I got unstuck! Now I'm at 144.5. I got lucky because, though I did eat at home last night, it wasn't nearly as healthy as it should have been. I also didn't get nearly enough sleep because I had to get up at 2:30 am to get my son off to DC for a school trip this morning. I'm going to get in a great workout this afternoon, go to bed early tonight and see a magically lower number on the scale in the morning!

I seem to be stuck at 145 at the moment. The scale hasn't moved for 3 days. I'm hoping to lose 5 pounds by the 4th of July. I've been eating pretty healthy and exercising quite a bit. I just need to try to slow down a little and eat more meals at home. I think I've been getting too much salt when eating out. A little more sleep would be nice too!

The scale showed a 2.5 pound loss after the weekend! emoticon I wasn't able to get in as much exercise as I would have liked but I ate pretty smart and still celebrated Father's Day with all the dads in my life. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend! I am glad it is Monday so I can come back to SP and continue on my journey with all my Spark friends!

Two weeks later, 3 pounds heavier... I celebrated my son's birthday with him, got stressed out about lack of time to prepare, went on a camping trip and all good habits escaped me. However, I am back on track now. I hope to make it to Curves tonight and continue making healthy choices for me and my family.

I got in a great workout yesterday, didn't eat quite enough calories, and lost 2 pounds! 11 more to go. Today I am going to get that Curves workout in and continue with the good eating habits.

Perhaps I should have started a new journal since I actually have 13 pounds to lose at the moment, but this is my journey and my journal and I'll just keep at it. I had a good day yesterday. I had hoped to go to Curves, but my sweet son made a mess of my plans last night. I still need to work on insisting that my needs are met too, but it is so hard when I am already balancing parenthood, a full time job, church callings, a husband, housework, paying the bills, etc. Despite the lack of exercise, I managed to bake brownies with frosting for a boy scout court of honor tonight, bake banana bread for my family, stop myself from eating that stuff, and lost 3/4 of a pound. All in all, not bad. Today after work I am going to the gym for a good 60 minute cardio workout and will make up for my skipped workout yesterday. I'll go to Curves tomorrow and get back on track with the strength training.

The long weekend went pretty good and I lost 1.25 pounds! Yay! I drank lots of water, ate pretty good until my husband made enchiladas last niight, and got in some exercise. I hope to continue to make healthy choices and lose weight throughout the week. Tonight I want to make it to Curves and get in some strength training which I haven't done in 5 days since they were closed Saturday.

Yesterday was much better, I met my goals, and lost a pound. I am hopeful that I will be able to find a way to stay on track this weekend and continue to lose weight instead of gaining it back. I made it to the gym today after work in order to start the weekend off right. I am going to track my food and exercise over the weekend, stay active, and remember why I am doing this and take the time to take care of myself!

It is 3 days later, and I've gained an additional pound, putting me back exactly where I started 1 week ago. *sigh* Why is it so hard to get back on track and even harder to stay on track, and so easy to completely fall off? It was hard this week because my 13 year old son had his wisdom teeth taken out and I was concentrating on his health instead of my own. I guess it's going to take commitment to myself and my health. I think I need to change my mentality and put myself first instead of last?

I did so great Friday and lost another 2 pounds. I was so excited to report my progress, got up in the morning, went to get online, and my internet connection wouldn't work! I started my day out healthy enough, by standing up to my hubby and asking to eat at home instead of going out. However, we ate lunch and dinner out, came home and had ice cream. I gained 3 pounds Saturday. Yesterday wasn't any better and I stumbled again after trying to get back on track for another half pound gain. Therefore, I lost 4.5 pounds and gained 3.5 pounds in the last 4 days. It is Monday and I just have to get back on track and work harder to stay consistent. Hopefully I can be stonger when my family wants to sit around and eat junk food.

I stuck to the plan yesterday and the scale reflected a 2.5 pound loss this morning. I got in a walk today (unexpectedly) when I locked my keys in my car. I've been tracking my water and food intake and making better choices. I know that consistency is key and plan to keep it up through the weekend. I still need to work on getting at least 8 hours of sleep, but should be able to do that easier during the weekend. Good luck to me and all of you!

3 weeks later...up 3 pounds. I have been overwhelmed with life lately. I feel like I have no time for myself, no time to exercise, no time to eat right, no time to get enough sleep, etc. After constantly eating everything in sight yesterday, I have decided to take control of my life and take the time I need to take care of myself. I can't remember when I last worked out so I am going to make that a priority and go to Curves tonight and get in a session. I am going to track everything and make sure that I get back on track!

It has been a week. Again, I lost weight after my Wednesday workout, 2.5 pounds this time. I'm 1.5 pounds less than I was last week. If only I can do well the rest of the week and stop the yo yo stuff, I think my body would be happier with me. I'm hoping to get a workout in at Curves tonight and then get some housework done in preparation for the weekend house guests. Hopefully I can work a bit harder on my consistency!

I exercised, ate healthy, stopped eating after 8, drank plenty of water, and lost 2 pounds yesterday! I feel SO much better! Not only that, but my workout went so much better yesterday than it has since December. I'm convinced that I was fighting a sinus infection for the first 3 months of 2014 and the antibiotics finally kicked it. My workouts should only get better from here! emoticon

Ugh, I gained 6 pounds since writing last. My weekend went okay, but then I got sick again and started antibiotics for a sinus infection and totally lost my motivation to do anything but eat. The antibiotics will be gone tomorrow and I need to get back on track. I plan to go to the gym tonight after work and then I need to stop eating after dinner! I will get back on track because I refuse to give up!

Wouldn't it be something if I could stay on track all weekend? I went to Curves yesterday, ate right, and lost another half a pound. Last weekend I was good and lost a pound. I am going to try to do the same thing this weekend. I am going to exercise, eat healthy, get extra sleep, and have a wonderful weigh in on Monday morning!

My back on track plan seems to be working! I lost 2 pounds yesterday and made it to Curves today. I just need to stay consistent and not let myself get back off track!

Well, that didn't go as planned. I lost 1 pound over the weekend, but I'm still up 2.5 pounds since my last post 6 days ago. Argh! Just when you think you have things under control! Back to work I go. I'm going to the gym tonight and will try to get to Curves tomorrow. No more peer pressure cake and ice cream runs!

I don't know how I did it, but somehow I pulled it off and was able to fit in my 60 minute workout at the gym and still take care of my other responsibilities. I was pretty exhausted by the time I got home, but I sure slept well! I am down another 1.5 pounds this morning. Yay! Today is less busy but I still have a lot going on. I hope to fit in some exercise, but if not, I got plenty yesterday. I'm getting used to eating healthier and feeling better so I plan to stay on the right track!

I slept so much better and I'm feeling better after not overeating and getting to bed on time last night. The scale showed a half pound loss this morning. I thought it would be more, but I'm NOT complaining! I have been struggling with stress due to having too many things that I have to do lately. I'm trying to plan enough so that I can fit everything in, but something always seems to happen to mess it up. I made myself a priority last night and made it to Curves despite someone messing up my plans. I had to forgo something else, but the choice was mine and I was happy with it. Tonight is my workout night and an hour meeting has been added during my usual workout time. I've arranged for someone else to pick up my child and deliver him to me, saving about 30 minutes. I'm hoping to hustle with everything and try to fit it all in!

I did get outside for a walk in the sun yesterday and it was great! Everything was going so well, and then I was so tired and I didn't want to go to sleep at 8 so I ate ice cream and chips. At least my weight didn't go up, but I was hoping for a decrease in weight this morning! I need to remember to take time to get enough sleep on the weekends so I'm not so wiped out on Monday. I was just informed that after my 3 pound loss last week, I am leading the challenge at work! Yay! I've got to get my rear in gear and stay consistent so I don't lose my number 1 spot! Today I hope to get to Curves for some long overdue strength training. If I can prevent myself from eating too much tonight after I get home, I should be in much better shape tomorrow.

Well, my weekend was super busy and I didn't do as well as I hoped, but I was fitting back into my clothes yesterday morning before I erased the previous 3 days progress by going on an eating spree. I wish I hadn't done that, but I'm just going to get right back to work and have another good week. I weighed in this morning and lost 3 pounds for the week, despite yesterday's binge. Since today is probably going to be the last sunny day until who knows when, I'm hoping to meet my hubby for a nice walk outside after work today. I haven't been getting nearly as much exercise as I would like. I think I need to make sure to Spark a bit next weekend so I don't lose focus again.

I had hoped to fit in some exercise yesterday, but wasn't able to. However, I cooked a good healthy dinner for my family and my super picky child loved it! Thank you SP for the dinner idea! I was very happy to weigh myself this morning and to see half a pound gone after losing 2 the day before. I half expected my weight to go up a bit. Today is Friday. The weekend begins! I am going to try super hard to make healthy choices this weekend since I'm almost fitting back into my clothes and I have a weigh in on Monday morning. My plan is to get a workout in at Curves today and/or a walk with my hubby.

I totally agree! I went to the gym yesterday and was able to jog for 4 minutes until my heart rate went too high. The previous week I was only able to jog for 3 minutes. The improvement was so exciting to me! I felt like I could do anything. It makes me want to keep exercising for sure. I burned 600 calories at the gym yesterday according to my heart rate monitor, only ate 965 calories, and lost 2 pounds! I know that I should have eaten more and that I should lose it more gradually, but seeing that lower number on the scale this morning was so motivating! I am enjoying the journey back to a healthier me.

Thanks, I definitely think I'm on the right track. I wasn't able to fit in much activity yesterday, but I did get to bed early and I'm feeling better today. I'm down another half a pound. My plan for today is to get to the gym for a good cardio workout right after work and continue with the healthy eating and adequate sleep.

Yesterday was much better. I ate within my calorie range, took a walk with my husband and drank 9 cups of water. I went to bed at a decent hour, but woke up SO tired. I've been sick a lot lately and I think I need to try to get a little extra sleep for a bit in order to get my health back. My goal for today is to continue eating better, drink plenty of water, try really hard to get in some activity and get to bed by 9:30. Unfortunately, that may not be achievable since I have an appointment at 4 right after work. Then I am going to help someone move around 6. I'm not sure I'll be able to fit in dinner!

It has been a tough winter. I was sick for my birthday and am up 3 more pounds to 148.5 today. I haven't been working out and my fitness level has plummeted. I used to jog for over 15 minutes and now I can't even go 3! It is so sad. However, I have done it before so I know that I can do it again. I just need to do my best to eat better, fit in some exercise, drink a lot of water, and get enough sleep. It sounds so simple, right? Easier said than done, but I'm always up for a challenge!

My mood has been good, my weight, not so much. I am at 145.5 today, up 5 pounds from my previous post. I stressed out over the holidays, was crazy busy, then was sick for 3 weeks. My energy came back 3 days ago so I decided to get in a workout. I am so sore, but getting a little better. I'm hoping to feel okay enough to workout again tomorrow. I've got to get some of this excess weight off!

The experiment was over Friday. My weight went up 4.5 pounds since my last post and has been up since then. However, I was feeling more empowered and happier in general so I decided not to call the doctor. Now I'm going to try to enjoy the holidays without gaining too much weight!

I am now on day 4 of my 1 week experiment and have lost 3.5 pounds! I am also feeling happier. I was able to take some time to myself over the weekend and reflect on life a bit. It's amazing what a 30 minute walk with a dead ipod can do! I've been making exercise a higher priority and feeding myself smaller amounts of healthier foods. I'm cautiously optimistic that I can get better without a doctor's help. I still have half my experimental week to go so I guess time will tell.

Thanks for the encouragement! Day 1 of my 1 week experiment was pretty successful. According to the scale this morning, I lost 2 pounds yesterday! I ate healthier and stopped eating after dessert. I didn't get any exercise, but not eating a bunch of junk right before bed time helped me sleep a lot better! I'm also feeling a little more upbeat and optimistic which is very encouraging!

i wish you luck! I started reading your messages and had to laugh. I have a 13 yr old also, a husband out of town alot, and I've been trying to lose 10-20 pesky pounds for years - 13 (almost 14) years, in fact. Congrats on losing from the 160's - good luck getting to where you want to be - and feeling better.

*Sigh* I haven't been doing as much as I should be to get back on track and am currently only half a pound less than I was the day of my last post. I set up a chart and made myself and my husband a promise that I would do everything I can this week to get healthier. If I'm not feeling much better by next Friday, I am going to call my doctor and set up an appointment. I'm afraid I just don't feel like myself lately and if I can't fix it after doing everything I possibly can, I need to get some help. Hopefully it will be a great week! Wish me luck...

Well, I'm afraid I let myself go for awhile there. I was down to 135.5 the day my husband left for a hunting trip. My weight has gone up steadily since then. I am 4 pounds heavier today, 9 days later. I missed him a lot and ate quite a bit to soothe myself and spent a lot of time with my 13 year old instead of exercising. My husband has been such a good example with his eating habits. I need to stop eating so much crap and get back on track for the benefit of all of us. I'm afraid I've been a terrible example for my teenager. : (

I was able to sneak off for a much needed 30 minute walk yesterday and felt SO much better! Unfortunately I ate way too much late last night, but the scale stayed the same so that was a pleasant surprise. Determined to make today a better day, I've fit in 30 minutes at Curves and eaten healthy so far. Thank goodness it's Saturday! Hopefully I can fit in some more exercise some time today and continue eating healthy. My body is sure grateful when I do!

I was not able to fit in any exercise yesterday and boy can I tell a difference. I'm not nearly as smiley today. However, I am eating better and can tell the difference in how my body feels. I'm on the right track. I just need to make exercise a priority as much as possible. I'm hoping I can figure out a way to fit it in today after work. Unfortunately, this week has been full of appointments. Yesterday was the orthodontist and school conference. Today is a meeting. I'll just keep trying. Happy Friday!!

Going to the gym was a very good idea. I felt so much better afterwards! I worked out for an hour and still had energy to swim for a few minutes and then go play some basketball! The dinner I ate between was disgusting, but at least I didn't gain any weight and learned not to eat that again! I'm also glad that I'm not nauseous or about to pass out today! I hope to find the time to exercise today but that's going to be tough with all my appointments today. I'd really like to keep exercising because it really seems to be helping.

Yesterday was a fairly good day. I didn't have much of an appetite and the scale reflected a 1.5 pound loss, but I'm sure the lack of appetite won't last long. I was able to get to Curves, though I felt weak and not very energetic. I finished my workout and did my best. Hopefully I will get stronger. I had to sit down in the shower several times this morning to prevent myself from passing out. That can't be good. Maybe it's about time to see my doctor? Today's plan is to work out at the gym right after work and then play basketball with my young women. Hopefully I will have my energy back by then. I'm desperate to keep exercising and try to pull myself out of this funk I've been in.

Sheesh, a month has passed already! My weight has consistently been less than 140 for 2 weeks now, but mostly because I've been nauseous for over 2 weeks now and no, I'm not pregnant. Life has just been so difficult for the last 3 months or so. I'll feel like I've finally started getting my feet under me and something else comes and knocks me over! Back to basics I guess. I'm starting to struggle with depression a bit and need to face it head on and deal with it. Nothing helps as fast and as thoroughly as good nutrition and plenty of exercise! I would still like to lose those 5 pesky pounds, but at this time my mental health is my top priority. You know what they say, "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

Wow, okay, it's been almost 3 months since I've written. I haven't been on SP much and have gained some weight. I told myself I didn't want to ever be in the 140s again, but here I am at 140.5. Not for long! I am tired of consoling myself with food. I NEED to exercise! I went to Curves for 30 minutes, walked for 35 minutes, ran for 15 minutes, and went rock climbing for 90 minutes so far today! I have been SO frustrated at not being able to exercise much during the week. I am going to sit down this weekend and come up with a plan so I can be more consistent. Life has been extremely difficult, but not exercising has not been helping. Thanks to anyone who reads this. Good luck to you and good luck to me!

I followed through with my plan and the scale reflected a 2 pound loss this morning! I'm still 2.5 pounds above last week's weigh in, but I've got a last chance workout planned tonight and I am going to do my best to lose what I can! I am going to eat healthy and clean up the house and hope all my hard work pays off tomorrow.

Well, crap! I gained another half a pound, due to stress, lack of time for exercise, eating out, being hungry, etc. NO MORE EXCUSES!!! Tonight I am going to go to Curves for my usual Tuesday workout. Then I'm going to go for a nice mindful walk. And I am going to eat right! Tomorrow I am going to get in a good hour long cardio workout at the gym and eat right and hopefully I will have undone some of the damage before weigh in on Thursday morning.

I did so great the first week of the challenge. My weight went from 143 to 137. Then I found out that my 19 year old who has been looking for a job for over a year, finally got one! He started today. We just had to go celebrate! One evening of celebration turned into 3 days and resulted in a gain of 4.5 pounds. Today I take my younger son to the airport to go to his dad's across the country for the summer. I'm hoping I can stick to plan and avoid more emotional eating. I hope to get those 4.5 pounds back off within the next 3 days.

I am super excited to be starting a Biggest Loser challenge tomorrow. I am in desperate need of help building consistency and I think it will be just the answer I need. I've gained some weight over the past 5 days, but I am totally going to take it back off starting tomorrow.

Ugh! The weekend did me in. No, that's not true. I actually did really well Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, Monday I gained 2 pounds and yesterday I gained 3! Monday's excuse was it was a holiday. Yesterday's excuse was a crappy day at work. I didn't track my food eaten either day. You would think I would know better than that by now. I need to be more vigilant and make sure I track everything EVERY day and keep my goals in the front of my mind!

I am still on track, completed my Curves workout yesterday, ate healthy and lost another pound. I woke up super cranky today. I'm wondering if part of that is due to not eating quite enough calories for my recent activity level. I only ate 1157 calories yesterday and a little over 1200 the previous 2 days. I haven't felt hungry though. Perhaps I was cranky because I haven't been sleeping great and my kids were too noisy this morning. Either way, I hope to continue eating healthy and exercising through the holiday weekend. Hopefully I will be able to catch up on sleep a bit too!

I followed through with my plan, had a good workout at the gym and lost another 2.5 pounds yesterday! That's 5 pounds in 2 days! Woo hoo!! Tonight after work I will go to Curves and hopefully not lose 2.5 pounds. That might be a bit much. I love to see the results of my efforts, but I want to be healthy!

I am off to a great start! I ate within my calorie range yesterday, got a good workout in at Curves, and according to the scale, lost 2.5 pounds! Today I hope to get to the gym for some good cardio.

I am at the highest weight I've been since 8/9/2012. Since starting SparkPeople, I lost over 30 pounds and have gained back more than 12. I think that is so sad. I've worked so hard to get healthy, lower my cholesterol, and get fit. How can I just give up and not care now? I could list off a whole bunch of reasons I've given myself in the past, but none are good enough. I know that I am worth the effort it takes to get back to my healthy eating and exercise habits. I've got to remember all the benefits I get by doing so: more energy, stronger, happier, fewer aches and pains, more confidence, and last but not least, the nicer figure and the pride. I'm done letting my good habits fall by the wayside. I am going to make myself a priority again!

I've been staying on track! I wasn't able to get to the gym yesterday, but I did spend a lot of time outside in the sunshine doing yard work and gardening. I shed another half a pound. Tonight I won't be able to get to Curves because my son has a program at school, but I hope to fit in a good walk and/or jog.

I got my rear in gear yesterday and got back on track. I drank lots of water (10 cups), ate within my calorie range, exercised (cardio and strength at Curves), had a good night sleep, and lost a pound and a half! Now I really need to be consistent and keep it up!

My weekend was way too busy and I didn't track like I should have and I gained the 2 pounds I lost earlier in the week. Today is a new day and the beginning of a new week. I haven't lost until I give up and I'm not giving up! Practice makes perfect and I'll just keep practicing until I get it right! That's about as inspirational as I can be at the moment. ;) Thanks for your post, though. It's kind of inspiring. At least we know we are not alone.

This is my constant struggle. Trying to lose the last 5 lbs, only to lose 2 and gain them right back. Looking for some serious motivation to help get me there. My main problem is the eating.

Hoping to get some inspiration here :)

My journey continues...I followed through with my plan (for the most part) and lost another half a pound yesterday. I was tired and cranky when I got home and felt hungry so I had a little ice cream. It was an extremely busy day and I didn't get to bed on time either. Hopefully I'll be able to relax and get some rest this weekend. Ha ha, yeah right! I've been asked to babysit after work tonight. I have plans to go the temple with my family tomorrow. Sunday I have 3 hours of church. And somewhere in there I want to get my garden planted! At least I will be too busy to eat all weekend!

I appreciate the encouragement! I came up with a plan, created a chart, and shed a pound yesterday. I'm on my way! Today I'll eat right, log it, and exercise at Curves. It will be a great day!

Life got crazy again and my good habits went right out the window. I need to come up with a plan, and fast! I've gained 2.5 pounds since my post on Friday. I'm eating too much and not exercising enough. I'm going to continue to try to get back on track and figure out a way to stay on track. I am going to stick to my healthy eating plan today and go to the gym after work. Hopefully I can turn things around!

Since my last post, I got a good workout in at Curves, ate at the low end of my calorie range, and lost another pound. The back and hip pain I had been having are all but gone and I am feeling optimistic. Unfortunately, in the middle of my busy schedule, I locked my keys in my car last night and didn't get enough sleep after getting everything taken care of. Thank goodness it's Friday and I can try to rest up a bit!

I ate better yesterday, got in a good workout at the gym, had a little too much junk food when I got home, but still lost 1 pound. My back and hips feel better, my mood is better, and I am SO glad that I got my rear in gear! Now to keep up the good work and continue exercising, eating right, and feeling better!

There are a LOT of people that weigh daily and a lot of people that don't. It works for some, doesn't for others. I find it to be very useful as a tool to help me monitor my progress or lack thereof. It is especially useful after reaching goal weight and trying to figure out how to maintain. It has been recommended on this site as a maintenance tool. People who weigh daily are more successful than those who don't. I can definitely say that I do much better when I do than when I don't. I have struggled a lot lately. I had a miscarriage a month and a half ago. My hormones have been a mess. Along with several other difficult family issues lately, I am totally off track and intend to weigh daily to help myself get healthy again. For some it is frustrating, for me it is motivating. I will admit that I've considered the fact that I might be a bit obsessive at times, however, if you read the title of this journal, it makes sense that it would sound that way if taken out of context. I honestly don't think I deserve to be judged as "obsessed about my weight". I would very much prefer to weigh every day, stay motivated, lose the weight, and get healthy again, than to be how I am right now, sad, uncomfortable, discouraged, and unhealthy. Since beginning my journey about 6 years ago, I've lost a total of about 30 pounds. I've recently gained back 10. I plan to get back on track and lose those 10 pounds again so that I can feel good about myself again.
