When a chocolate bar craving hits, I create my own chocolatey treat by mixing about 1 tbsp. of pure cocoa powder, 1 tbsp. of peanut butter or other sugar-free nut butter, 1 tbsp. of maple syrup or honey, and whatever crushed nuts or seeds I have on hand. Mix it all together and enjoy. The measurements are approximate and you can adjust them to your own taste. It is surprising satisfying and delicious! You can refrigerate it to firm it up if you have that much patience. Of course, you can make up a bigger batch rather than a single or double serving. I find if I know its there though, I can't leave it alone until I've eaten it all.
