The first thing you should do it erase the word diet from your mind. A diet is something you do short term, and usually gives you short term results. You need to realize that healthy eating is a forever change. Does this mean you never eat high calorie food? NO! it means you try to make healthy choices, but if you do eat something not so healthy you are ok with it because you are eating healthy 90% of the time. Obviously, you cant eat a whole pie, but if you have a piece of pie, you haven't thrown your "diet" out the window. Because you are making changes one decision at a time. You can choose to have an apple instead of a piece of pie. Or have one cookie instead of 4. You have the power to choose! But whatever you choose, track it. measure it. Sometimes that makes all the difference. I don't want to track that dessert, so I might just skip it. But if I eat it, I have to track it. Since you are the only one who sees what you track, there is no point in not being honest with yourself. You CAN do this! One bite at a time...

If you do nothing else here, track your food daily, faithfully, and honestly.

You do not provide a lot of information and there is no one diet that works well for everyone. It sounds like you may need some professional counseling to address your emotional eating. I would also guess that going eighteen hours between meals (11p to 5p) means your body may be in starvation mode, which slows your metabolism. You may want to try eating healthy foods (fruits, veggies, lean protein) every six to eight hours to kickstart your metabolism.

One stumble does not a failure make.

Everything in moderation.

What is the best diet for some one like me?
My portions are three to four times normal
I will eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at 11pm (night nurse for years) and not get hungry till 5pm the next day.
I go through rollercoaster emotions to where I am so oral fixated I can't stop myself from eating crap. It only lasts a day but the damage is done. I will put back on the 5 pounds it took me 2 weeks to lose.
A positive: I go to the gym every am mon - friday
