I'm down about 33 pounds. Also wearing size 8. Down from size 16. Struggling with some injuries. But that is part of an active lifestyle sometimes. It's not a reason to give up. Compensate. Adapt. Never, ever give up.

Thank you all for the very kind words. Never in my life did I think I would be an inspiration or a motivator! I read each of your comments and it really had me tearing up because not too long ago I was there. I wondered how I got so big & in all honesty, without seeing my friend loose all that weight, I feel like I wouldn't have given it that month. But I learned it was possible.

The biggest tip I can give all of you is knowing loosing weight is all about trial and error. Not everything that works for one person will work for you. You are not going to loose weight at the same rate as anyone else, so stop comparing yourself to other people! If you've lost 2 lbs this month remember you are 2 lbs closer to a new you! Don't beat yourself up about it because time doesn't stop for no one. Just remember you are human and this is your journey. Be proud of what you've done and what you can do tomorrow.

Also don't forget to learn! A lot of my past problems were not truly knowing what I thought I already knew about food and exercise. I learned more this year then ever, about food, exercise and my body.

Good luck to each one of you and I know that you all have strength to be the best you!

I chose a short term goal to help me attain long term goals. I have been running sporadically since 2010, but wasnt consistent. I joined a challenge with a running group in the Chicago suburbs called "Let's Go Streaking". Goal was to run every day. I was sick the 1st week, but still managed to run twice. Overall I ran 20 days out of the month which was a huge feat for me. My cousin said she was almost at her goal of running 650 miles in a year. I liked the idea of running for mileage. I chose to run 90 miles in 90 days. So for i have run every other day this year. I have run 16.5 miles, so i am right on track & still excited about it. Looking forward to upping the mileage for spring!

Completed 2-Chicago Marathons, 4-Rock N Roll Half Marathons, 1-Monster Dash Half Marathon, 2-Soldier Field 10 Milers, 2-Shamrock Shuffles & multiple 5K & 10K races.

The good things I have done are to changed to a Gluten Free diet and stick with it for now 3 months. I am trying to get more active but that is not my strong point. I am cooking better and eating better food items. I have lost somewhere around 20pounds. One month at a time is a good way to look at it. You didn't put all the weight on or eat a bad diet to get in unhealthy shape in a month so you have to climb out and up one month at a time to get to a better health lifestyle.

i was reading on give it a month - which i am trying to do - and looked at the comments and you and i have about the same objectives. i started 192 and would like to be 140-150 by july 4 which means i have to stay on tract and definitely one month at a time.

Congratulations!!!! I've only been back on Spark for a week, but in that week, I've gotten better with not eating too many snacks and when I do eat snacks, I've incorporated healthier snacks into my diet. I'm learning to not eat so much at one meal and I've also started walking around my subdivision, which takes about 15 mins or so if I walk at a fast pace.
