I quit smoking back in 2011. I had a very difficult time. I would go back and forth, back and forth, smoke then quit, then smoke again. Times were definitely tough. I finally said to heck with this and bought the nicotine gum. I will honestly say I was addicted to that too! I had a hard time getting off the gum too... I figured it was better to chew gum then to smoke. But I finally got off that too. If anyone needs a little extra support and motivation from someone, I would be more then willing to lend a hand.... If you are serious about quitting and you want to be healthy. You can do it!! I did it, and if I did it, you can too!!
I personally feel that the more times you quit the better. Just because you know what your body will be going through more so then just giving it up for the first or second time... and it will not freak you out and you think that what you are going thru may be abnormal. Chances are no not abnormal. Your body goes thru withdrawals in many different ways and it can get VERY unpleasant. I do recommend quitnet.com. It gives you a wealth of information and even a little tracker of the money saved, days quit, and hours saved on your life. How cool!!
Quitting is hard, but you don't have to do it alone!! Jen
