Okay, this might not sound so great to some but, for me, it is a goal I am pleased by. In recent years, a series of knee injuries and the onset of arthritis has prevented running of any kind. I can do HIIT hill walking on the treadmill 3-5 times a week without a problem. Tonight I tried short bursts of running 5.0-5.5 mph. Started out with 30 seconds, then tried 2 minute bursts. I was able to achieve a total of 7-8 bursts over the one hour session. I feel pretty good!
