I started at about 172 in March 2012, and lost 41 pounds. This was after years of being up to 235 and finally losing to 185. Then I had a stroke and lost down to 135 in summer 2008. Stayed there for three years and then gained weight. Didn't stop it because I thought my lack of energy was due to such low weight. It must have been due to the stroke, because I found at 172 that I finally had more energy, but also more trouble with blood pressure and diabetes. When my weight is low, diabetes is back to prediabetes level, and blood pressure is easier to control. This time as I lost,I found I kept my energy.
I was down to 131 pounds by last fall, then gained 14 pounds over winter. I've been ok with that but was having trouble going back to summer weight of 131 to 135. I've finally upped my exercise enough that I'm losing again, and thoroughly enjoy it.
What I do about my weight expresses how I feel about myself and my relationship with my Lord right now.
