It can be a pain to deal with the tracker but it has made such a difference for me. As long as I measure and track, my weight loss goes well. It is when I drop off of doing both those things that the weight stops coming off.

Congratulations on making the choice to use the tracker. I'm sure it'll help your results.

Great for you! Tracking WILL get easier as you get used to it. Takes me no time at all now, and I was like you, thinking no way can I fit this in.

Not only did it show me my calories were over, but I was also including too much fat and not nearly enough protein. When I balanced everything out and made better choices, the weight came off.

Congrats again and keep pushing!

I agree that the nutrition tracker is an important part of the weight loss/maintenence success...without it, I'm sure I'd be over consuming my calories....never really realized how much I put into my "pie hole" until it was recorded for me to see! emoticon

AUTUMNHOPE, the Nutrition Tracker is the ABSOLUTE key to success. I, too, reluctantly tried it, and have been hooked since the first day (May 15, 2011). If you keep your numbers within the daily ranges, you will see results beyond your wildest dreams. I know, because it happened to me. Since the day I started I maybe have missed 20 days total. It's actually kind of fun sometimes: I will get near the end of the day, check my totals, and realize I need X amount more protein and X amount more of something else. I usually fill that gap with yogurt laced with chopped almonds and banana. MMgood. It's nine o'clock at night and I'm still eating AND LOSING!

Spark On!

Eliminate "I will try". Replace with "I will".
You are now ready to succeed.
Let's go.

Good for you. The food tracker can be difficult at first, especially adding and verifying foods. But it gets easier. And the. You can't stop. ;) I still track (and people tease me) three years later. But it keeps me on target.

I think it's really great that you took time to figure out those numbers. It's good to have all the information you can get. Take care and give yourself lots of credit for all the little steps which truly add up to make a big difference. emoticon

I've been putting this off ,because it was so time consuming & my day is full already. I've tried to fit the Spark Coach & having contact with a Spark Friend into my day & that's difficult.
However, w/some community support & tips I've tracked & realize I was consuming many more calories than I thought . Probably 2200-3000 daily.Even with eating better I'm still not in my range so that's a big eye opener & a WOO HOO for taking the time to initiate that in my life.
