For me it's finally getting under 300 Lbs! I hit 299 today and am pretty happy about this small victory on my way to my final goal. I lost 51 Lbs to get under 300 and it feels great!

Today's celebration for me comes from the Couch25k program - last night I didn't think I would survive the run10-walk5-run10 but after the first 10 I ended up never stopping! Ran 2.5 miles in 25 minutes!!! (I know you're supposed to follow the program but I was in 'the zone'!) I still can't believe it - the first week I could barely manage the 1 minute runs! emoticon

I also am celebrating my husband, my cats and my career!

I am managing my nutrition by planning and preparing. Because I live alone, this consistency for the past two weeks has been a solid step forward.

I making sure that strengthening and toning exercises fit into my fitness regime 3 times a week at least.

Out of 1365 people in my local area that began a weight loss challenge on January the 11th, My brother and I participated and I lost 69 pounds making me the 5th highest weight lost, and my brother lost 47 pounds making him the 13th highest weight lost. Only 200 people continued the challenge from start to finish. I am so proud of us. I really love knowing I did not give up. Although I did not win because it was based on percentage of weight lost I still feel like I won. I did lose the most of all the females.

I'm woo-hooing because I've managed to stick to my fairly restrictive diet to the letter of the law for two whole days.
It's not much, I know. But I've found of late that I'm inclined to take liberties when 'dieting' which quickly see me going back to my old habits. I want to get into the thirty day swing to make this way of eating a habit again, and to shrink my stomach back to the size it should be. I'm only a small distance away from my goal weight but I've been struggling to get their on and off for a few years now. This time I'm going to make it all the way!

It doesn't matter how many times you fall so long as you keep getting back up.

my WHOO HOO MOMENT is what I am celebrating
Honest Portion Food Tracking - Measuring - knowing exactly how much I am consuming, not just portion size but calorie content. This I have been doing consistently since March 31, which has lead to a 13.5 pound weight loss ever since that day. Im on a TRACKING STREAK. It's what works!!!

Newbie to the group but love the idea of celebrating. Today my success was going to the gym....AT 6AM!!! I have never, ever been one to work out in the morning. I took a Spin class and it rocked. I felt awesome all day. Wish my schedule always allowed for this now that I know how could it feels.

I also have one from the other day (blog hog) Again, for me, a huge deal. I stepped away from the pepperoni! I was having one of those down days, not loosing in a few and basically feeling sorry for myself. I was at the deli while grocery shopping and order 2 sticks of pepperoni with all intentions of going home and eating it with a ton of cheese and crackers. I was ready to throw in the towel. I battled with myself for a bit then put the pepperoni in some random cold section (sorry grocery people). I won the battle with myself and I am still pretty dam proud of that moment.

Go fast or go slow, it doesn't matter. Just GO!

I am celebrating today the fact that I was one of several "winners" in a Measurement Milestone Club in the category of "10 + inches lost" (created by a good friend and team leader). I have lost 11 1/4" overall since the beginning of this year.

I am celebrating the first pound lost! I have been trying all month with no budge in scale. I have never in my life been able to do pushups and after 8 months of yoga I am now able to do them! I can't even believe it! Whoot whoot!

Okay - so the scale moved down by .2 lbs this week. Which is a good thing. But the thing I'm celebrating is the fact that I am finally coming to embrace the mental shift necessary to stop living my life as a fat person. I would have liked to see a 4 lb loss, but I'm happy with the fact that I tracked my nutrition all week and made smarter, conscious choices to live healthier. I'm looking forward to looking back on "the old me" from my new place in life. I can't wait to do a mental "after" picture and compare it to the mental "before" pic. I'm beginning to enjoy this. And that is what I'm celebrating.

Today I am celebrating that I made it through Easter and a birthday celebration while staying in all of my nutrition ranges. It was a little hard, and I may have eaten more fat that I would've liked, but I made a point to choose healthy options and portions and succeeded.

7 days of consistency. Bought a FitBit last weekend, and have been logging workouts and tracking sleep. Looking at my wrist keeps me motivated. I've also been logging food (since i have a FitBit app and a SparkPeople app) and that means I am much less likely to eat stupid things (Snickers for breakfast) because i'm going to have to write it down.

Today I am celebrating the fact that my weekend is going to include a lot of physical activity-- tomorrow walking 3 mi to the farmer's market and then 3mi home, Sunday going hiking with my mom-- and yet I'm not dreading any of it!

I'm actually looking forward to walking probably 11-12 miles in the next couple of days! I really think an active overall lifestyle like this is going to be the trick for me, rather than slogging to the gym before or after my workday to get on a machine. The treadmill, elliptical etc suck out my soul, even when I have a mp3 player along with me to jam to!

This morning when I logged on, I thought there was a mistake - I instantly had a bonus spin. It took a few minutes investigation to realize that I had received 25 points for being logged on 30 days! I was so surprised that without even thinking of quitting or slacking. It is not a big celebration on the surface, but it is a huge change for me! emoticon

I am celebrating today the facts that...well..seem to hit a snag...only lost .4 lb...BUT...the really good news is that I have lost.."inches"..see I quit worrying about the scale...so far I have lost 0.4 lb....2 inches off my waist.... 3.5 inches off my hips .... 1 inch off my thighs ...1 inch off my arms

now that is what I call "victory" for me emoticon

need to do more work on my thighs...the weight will come off in time...but...on the bright side of this journey..my clothes are looser... emoticon ...now that's what I call "fantastic" !!!

I have a few things to celebrate: First, being back on here after months away. Second, after months of living with a big box of clothes that don't fit anymore that I never got around to donating, I did it! Third, I made a salad with lima beans for myself today. Really delicious, inexpensive and healthy--it felt good to take care of myself in that way.

I am celebrating fitting into and buying a size 14 Petite today!

I don't think I've ever bought that size before. I was a 10-12 when I got pregnant for the first time. OH Boy....35 years later!!! On to a 12!!
