Internet is terrible today but I'm getting some posts in before my 7 am shut-down. I shut down the computer each day at 7 am because the cost of electricity goes up at that time and it's a good incentive to go and do other stuff and not be stuck in a chair all day. :-)

my biggest baby step (how big can a baby step be?) is that I have been faithful and absolutely honest in tracking my food intake. I am surprised (DUH) but it truly is helping me realize that even a meal or day that is not exactly on plan is not at all a reason to give it all up and eat a bagel spread with margarine and grape jelly for every meal for the following three days... it is really helping me curb emotional eating and change my way of thinking.

Today, I had a check up at the doctor.
I have "white coat syndrome" pretty significantly.
I did not let the stress get to me this morning and my BP was lower than it had been in my past two doctor visits.

Day 9 and still holding strong! In fact, I feel like I am almost in a challenge against myself to see exactly how much I can eat (healthy foods, of course) while eating as few calories as possible, as well as getting myself AND my family exercising. I LOVE IT!!!

I tracked for a whole week & drank all my water everyday with a big lost of 5#'s!! It was the first week but I am so proud of myself for sticking all week. Just started taking this whole diet and exercise thing seriously about a week ago..tracking my every meal and not overeating with my snacks and crackers and chips..ya'll know what I'm talking about. Gained 4lbs after my first week, and trying not to get discouraged. BUT I went from a 19 minute mile on my first day back in the gym to yesterday and doing 3 miles in a few secounds shy of 48 minutes!!! That's a 15, 16, and 19 minute mile!! ( The 19 minutes was on a 9/10 incline so I have to go a bit slower) I'm drinking my 8 cups of water a day..more like 10 cups though. It's nice to find some people in the same boat as me here! BABY STEPS!!
