Plz do not go just by the "scale" alone,, also be encouraged by the NSV (Non Scale Victories) ,, if you measure ur arms, thighs, hips, waist than over a months time,, do so again,, you WILL see changes !! This is a real moral booster ! WOOHOOOO !!!!
Also for a NSV,, notice,, are your clothings getting Looser? If so,,, the above says why ! WOOHOOOOO !!
Can you walk further? Dance longer? Swim more laps? There is so much more than the "scale" which I personally call "The rotten piece of metal (Plastic)". KICK IT TO THe CURVE if you can ,,, I am a team which REQUIRES I weigh in,, otherwise I SURELY WOULD !

I'm in the same boat as you right now. It is very frustrating! I have woken up early for the past 19 days straight and worked out -- (either 45 min at the gym or a 45 minute brisk walk with hills). I am watching what I eat, eating lots of veggies, and trying to stay within my calorie range.
Yet… The scale hasn't really budged. I thought I was down 1/2 a pound earlier this week, but this morning the scale showed that I am up 1.2 pounds. Ugg! I feel like I should be down at least two pounds just from the exercise alone!
The only 2 things I can really think of are the following:
1. My Sodium content is way too high. Yesterday I had a Daphne's soup for lunch (which tasted extremely salty to me). I also had a handful of pretzels in the afternoon (yep, more salt). Then I had a spinach and feta roll-up (very salty cheese) for dinner with a salad. I think I need to watch my sodium levels. They could be making me retain water.
2. I have not been getting enough sleep. I am probably averaging 6 hours per night when I am lucky. I need to up that by at least an hour per night. I woke up very tired and sluggish this morning and it was hard to go walking.
I am going to work on those two areas. I will try to limit my salt a bit more today, drink lots of water (maybe even with some lemon in it) and go to bed by 10:00 p.m. tonight. I have a weight loss meditation app I think I will listen too when I go to bed early. Hopefully these things will help the scale start moving in the right direction.
But, I can totally relate. It is frustrating to feel like I have hit a plateau even before I have started losing any weight!!!!

What you're experiencing is not unusual. Ever notice your weight goes up during TOM ? Most women tend to gain weight during their menstrual cycle. Is that a fat gain ? Nope, it's nothing more than a temporary water weight gain that passes in a few days.
Also, not to get TMI, did you weigh yourself after a bowel movement ? Food has weight. water has weight. so, if you don't do a poop in the morning, the physical weight of all the food and water you ate the day before is still in your intestines. I can easily gain or lose as much as 3-4 pounds in a day because of a shift in my water weight.
You're going to see many ups and downs on the scale as you progress through your journey. In short, you're normal.
The only things I'd add to the excellent pp-- sodium can cause a person to retain water (until it gets flushed out of your system) so even if you're staying within your calorie range, if the sodium level is high it could just be water weight. Also.... sometimes when we weren't used to eating a lot of vegetables & fruit, and then we start eating a lot... it can stop up or slow down our bowels a bit til we get used to all the extra fiber.

To better understand where you are coming from, we need to know a little bit more. Are you using your Nutrition Tracker on SP? It would be helpful to us to give you better feed-back if you create a SparkPage and open the Nutrition Tracker so we can access it.
Do you weigh all of your food for increased accuracy? It is amazing how often a person thinks they are eating, say, medium, or a cup, or 100g, when in fact they are eating more.
What range did SP give you to eat between, and what are you actually eating?
How long have you been on this journey? A lot of people will gain a little weight when they start to exercise. The body tends to retain a little fluid, in part, due to the development of muscle.
How old are you? Do you have periods still? A normal cycle can cause a big difference in weight. In fact, sometimes I used to gain 5-6lb or more in the same day.
The time of day you weigh can make a big difference, too. OR whether we used the toilet prior to the first one but not this last weigh-in.
There are LOADS of variable, so don't get too worried at this point.
Weight-loss surgery isn't necessarily the answer. It only really 'jump-starts' the weight-loss. You still have to work at it. Many people have had the surgery thinking it will be much easier, but they haven't had any success at all BECAUSE they wouldn't adapt their diet according to their needs. It can also be vary risky with the risk of infection or other potentially dangerous complications, far more often than a lot of people realize!

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong here. I watch what I eat, track my food(through body media), I workout every day except 2 days off for rest a week. Why did I gain 2 pounds? I eat 6 times a day, mostly veggies cooked and raw, 2 servings of fruit and 3 servings of protein. I'm ready to give in and just have weight loss surgery!
