BOBVILL5,

Insanity can be very intense. If you've been sedentary for a very long time, this is not the program you want to start with because it is very intense.

If you do have some exercise experience and are reasonably fit, then you might consider trying it if you are looking for a greater challenge. Also, don't believe the infomercial HYPE.

Losing weight isn't about doing high intensity exercise. Losing weight is all about what you eat. Good nutrition is what takes the weight off and keeps it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit. In short, you can't outrun a bad diet with exercise. if you want to lose weight, you need to eat right and watch your portions first.

Insanity might help you get fitter faster, but it won't help you get lighter faster. So, if you're doing Insanity because you think it's going to help you lose weight, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. Do it because you want a fitness challenge.

if you want to lose weight, you need to look to your nutrition and portion sizes.

Hi, i'm very interested in trying out insanity, but im just worried that if i finish insanity and go back to my lighter workouts, which is doing good for me at the minute, will it have negative impacts on my body? I've heard people lose weight really quick from it and I hear that losing weight quickly isn't usually a good idea. Any input is appreciated, thanks!
