Have you read some of the replies in this thread ? If you find yourself stuck in a rut, it's time for a change. And you don't have to do a lot to make a change. Spark People encourages all its members to start with simple changes first. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Set some simple goals.
Example, if you're not eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. If you're not drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. If you're not exercising, don't start with an hour a day, set a goal to take a 30 minute walk each day for one week. Once you've these goals, then you set new ones.
And that's how we begin to get ourselves out of a rut. We start with one small change.
Remember, one small change CAN change your life !

I can relate to these problems. I'm trying to lose 5 lbs and I can't seem to do it, lol. I'm just going to keep doing different DVDs, walking or maybe even jogging, and making sure that I eat REAL food - not processed meals like lean cuisine or the like. I think eating food wrapped in mother nature is a huge part of weight loss and general health. Also another thing I want to start doing is incorporating proper snacks into my day so that I eat smaller meals. I think that as Americans we focus too much on eating a big dinner rather than a bigger lunch. In Europe lunch is their main meal! Eating good snacks and lunches can prevent overeating at dinner time.

I'm in a rut. Like a year long rut. I don't seem to have enough energy to do anything anymore. I've gained weight (like 30 pounds) and agitated as ever with everything. No motivation that usually helps is helping anymore and I feel horrible. Sorry this so ranty but I have no idea what to do anymore.
Change it up! Look at what your eating and make sure you are eating enough. Change your exercise a little. Find some new workouts that challenge you in a different way. Are you seeing change in other ways besides weight loss? Track your measurements too. Sometimes you don't lose weight but you are still losing inches. How is your energy level and your strength? There are many ways to measure success, weight loss is just one of them. Good luck!
Glad u haven't gained. I can't begin to lose weight on the amount of calories some diets say I should have, so I know I have to have what works for me in order to drop pounds. Maybe you need to decrease yours. I know I can't have near the carbs those diets say to have as I can't deal with sugar. I've read "The Sugar Fix" by Richard Johnson M.D. and learned a lot. It has cut out my cravings at night which is fantastic as that was my downfall.

If you're stuck in a rut, it's time for a change. If you've been doing the same workout day after day, week after week or eating the same foods day in and day out, you need to shake things up. The human body thrives on change and challenge.
So, if you find that your workouts haven't been challenging, then it's time to UP your game. Now, that doesn't mean giving up workouts you like. But if you're using 5-8 pound weights, it's time to start using 10-15 pound weights. If you are doing the same workout DVD, try something new that you've never tried before.
the same is true of the food you've been eating. the human body thrives on variety. So, you might consider changing your menu a bit. Try some new fruits or veggies. If fish is on sale and you don't really eat fish, try the fish.
The point is that when we get stuck in a rut, it means we need to change something. If your workouts are no longer challenging, then you need to find ways to make them challenging again. If your menus are boring, time to spice them up. You don't have to do anything radical. Just periodically try something new so that you aren't doing the same thing over and over and over like a record with the needle stuck in the groove.
Also, I agree, accentuate the POSITIVEs. if you haven't gained any weight this month, that means you are doing something right because your weight is stable. And if you want to lose inches again, that really does mean challenging your body.

My suggestion would be to find some cardio that you really like. Try something new like a dance workout, a new machine, tennis, weight lifting, or find a friend to walk with. Those extra minutes fly by when you you are enjoying yourself.

Still tracking every day. I have a fitbit so I am getting in at least 10,000 steps a day. Weather has been crap so I have not been getting too much cardio. I haven't seen the scale move in over a month! No more inches coming off either.
