Weight training might be the trick you need if you are not seeing results with running. Many women are afraid of getting bulky and it just won't happen. I really enjoy weight training but it does seem odd at first.
I'd go down the strength training route too. I walk a lot, but the thing that helps me tone those other bits of my body, i.e those lovely front ripples, otherwise known as muffin tops, is strength training. I hate it, but I know that when I do it, I see a marked diffeence in the way I look to myself in the ever-unforgiving mirror! I need to get back to it - why don't you give it a try too - just 10-15 minutes 4-5 times a week will make a real difference... All the best!

Remember that how you see yourself in the mirror is not just a matter of how you look.
We can't be objective when we look at ourselves. We bring all our insecurities with us. We have off days when we are more self critical, and other days when we feel like we look great (no matter what anybody else thinks!)
It sounds like you have a great level of fitness, and from your picture, you look terrific.
Take a good long look at yourself. Forgive yourself for not looking like the airbrushed pictures in magazines that don't look like anybody real. Thank your body for all the things that it does. It pretty reliably keeps you moving where you want to go, it allows you to communicate, it interacts and helps to shape your environment. It is an amazing disease fighter and self healer. All that AND it looks pretty good.
One more tip.
Before trying on swim suits try this experiment: Stand (not in front of a mirror) in "super hero stance", with your legs in a wider than normal stance and your hands on your hips, for two full minutes. Studies show that just standing that way can make you feel more powerful. Feeling more powerful can change what your eyes see.
If you feel you really do need to lose a bit I think that the advice already here is very good : conscientious tracking, making sure that you aren't eating below range, and adding strength training are all good ideas.
Don't be too discouraged! You sound like you are healthy and working to stay that way, and that is fantastic!

When it comes to gaining or losing weight, what matters most is what we eat. Good nutrition is what takes the weight off and keeps it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit. In short, if you're not eating right, the weight won't come off. With all the exercise, you've probably noticed increases in endurance, strength and even flexibility/balance with yoga.
How much are you trying to lose ? How tall are you ? What do you currently weight ? According to your spark page, you're a member of the 20 somethings with 10 pounds to lose.
Someone who is obese or morbidly obese could safely lose 1-2 pounds per week. However, someone already at a healthy BMI for their weight will find that losing 5-10 pounds will be very slow going. Ask any member trying to lose those last few and they'll tell you it's not easy. They don't lose 1-2 pounds per week. if they are lucky, they might lose 1 pound per month.
We are our own worst critics. Flaws we see in ourselves, no one else sees. We think we need to lose when we really don't. You may be at a healthy weight for your height. If so, that would explain why you can't lose. it's because you might not need to lose.
Now, if you really do want to lose 5-10 pounds you must be much more patient with your body. You're not going to lose 1-2 pounds per week. You might lose 1 pound per month IF you are mindful of what you eat. I'm not sure if you're logging all your food choices are not. If not, start by logging everything. One thing I notice is that while you are eating some veggies, you need to eat more. for optimum health and fitness, a person should be eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies each and every day.
If you are logging all your food, then one reason you're not losing is because you're not eating enough. Eating too little can hinder a person's weight loss. I know this is going to sound strange, but a person has to eat in order to lose weight. So do make sure you're eating enough.

EKANOS. It is so hard when your hard work doesn't seem to be paying off. Sounds like you are doing great with cardio, but you didn't mention strength training. That builds and tones muscle helping you look better, feel better and burn more calories. I use the SP videos and do 2 sessions each for upper body, lower body, and core.
Also when my healthy eating doesn't seem to get results, I go back to weighing, measuring and tracking everything I eat or drink. This helps me find any extra calories that are sneaking in.
Hope this helps. Don't let discouragement make you quit. And remember, we aren't always the best judges of our appearance.
During these last 18 months, I have struggled so much with many things. One thing is my weight. I feel like I exercise so much, and I have yet to see any results. I walk to work (1.5 miles) every day. I run at least 2.5 miles every other day. I am in a yoga class twice a week. I play Just Dance on the Wii, which really works up a sweat, on the days that I don't run or walk. I am eating very healthy every day. Being gluten intolerant helps with eating healthier. I don't know what else I can do. I just tried on a bikini for the first time since last summer, when the weight gain really took off, and I feel like I look even bigger than I did then. Anything encouraging that anyone can offer?
