Every day is a new day.
Every hour is a new hour.
and Every minute is a new minute! I saw this on here the other day and just because you mess up doesn't mean the rest of the day has to be that way much less the next day!!

All you can do is a little better today then yesterday. Don't go into a shame spiral over it, just do one good thing today, get you water in, walk in place or march for 15 minutes to some favorite music-you will be OK!

My goals are set for 2014 and I am ready to get healthy! I just turned 40, I just had a beautiful baby boy and I want to be a great roll model for him.

It happens to us all. We are only human after all. Just get back on track and start afresh. No point in beating yourself up over it. Focus on all the times you didn't binge and stuck with it.

The only thing to do today is not let yesterday dictate to you. Just start all over again today.

Do you have hobbies to help you get through the time? I know it can be hard being stuck in the house due to the high price of gas :(

The best exercise in the world is to bend down and help someone up.

You can't beat yourself up because you had a binge episode. Binge eating is a very complex issue with no easy solution. I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.

With time, you will learn what triggers a binge episode. That's not going to be easy, but if you can identify what your food triggers are, you can REDUCE the number of binges you have. Most members who binge will tell you that they never stop binging, but they have been able to decrease the number of times it happens.

Here's something you can try. The next time you feel a binge coming on, don't try to stop it. Instead, get out a piece of paper. I want you to write down how you're feeling at that very moment. Are you angry ? Are you sad ? Are you upset ? Are you anxious or worried about something ? Are you under stress ?

Whatever emotion you are feeling, write it down along with the food you eat. If you do this enough times, you're going to notice a pattern of behavior. You may notice that every time you're upset about something, you binge. I'm a firm believer that stress is a neglected aspect of weight gain. if a person could reduce their stress, they'd automatically reduce their waistline.

The same is true of our dreams. When we our stressed out about something, that is reflected in our dreams. Are you stressed out ? Are you worried ? If so, you need to find a way to reduce that stress that doesn't involve food. Do you like tea ? You might try sipping a cup of tea. Do you like reading ? try reading a good book. Try knitting or sewing or some other type of craft. Keep your mind/fingers busy so that you aren't thinking about food.

But, would you try writing out your feelings when you feel a binge coming on ? I really do think you'll find it helpful.
