I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water that's still a step in the right direction.

Take baby steps literally and figuratively.

I started slowly to figure this place out. I started with my goals for weight and what I wanted. The system calculates how many calories, fat, protein and carbs you should be eating a day. It give you a range of low to high range that is good to eat. There is also the meal planner. I personally took a few idea's from the meal planner to get an idea of what I should be eatting compared to what I was eating.
After a week of figuring that out I started tracking fitness and joining a team to talk to. People that can help with questions, encourage, who are also trying to loss weight and I use the recipe's here like crazy to make things I love more healthy.

Ok, Start at your trackers (maybe someone can help with the exact technical steps). You are looking to input your current weight, and your goal weight. You will get a calculation of your daily calorie range.

Enter your fitness goals. Please, if you are just starting to exercise, do not enter unrealistic goals (that is the worst thing you can do). Start small, and work up. It's so much better to aim for 20 minutes 3 times a week and succeed, then to aim for 60 minutes 5 times a week, find that you can't do that and then quit all together!!

Track your food (Nutrition) for everything you eat during the day to see how you are doing (staying in your range).

Listen, Spark People has a TON of features, be prepared to take your time (a few days) to learn all about everything, articles, message boards, videos, teams, your spark page, recipes, etc.

I just started this and i don't know where to begin i have never done any of this before what should i do first
