I'm glad I read this....I've been adding in all of my steps in the pedometer into my mileage because it figures in the calories burned. Thank you!!

As Ruth mentioned, I would recommend only counting your active walking as fitness minutes and just enter your total number of steps for that day in the step counter on your Fitness Tracker page. Counting your all day activity as exercise will over calculate your nutrition goals, so it wouldn't be a good idea to count all of that as a workout.

This is just what I personally do.... I wear a pedometer all day, too. I count (as Fitness minutes) the time I'm actively exercising (walking). And then, on your Fitness Tracker page, there's a place to record your total step count for the day. That's where I include everything, the total number of steps for the day. I aim for over 10K each day. But I do not count every single step as "Fitness minutes". btw, 6 miles in 3 hours is 2 mph, not 30.

I wear my pedometer all day. I actively walk twice a day for 20 minutes each time. Sometimes I walk more, sometimes less (as exercise). Do I count only that or all my activity time?

Meaning, if I walk 6 miles in 3 hours do I count that as 180 minutes at a 30 minute mile or just the 40 minutes that I was walking actively?
