Hi,

Regarding starvation mode, please see the post in this thread from Coach Dean (you will have to scroll a bit or use CTRL and F to search for it). He gives a great deal of information that may be useful.

Just read that a runner training for a 5K or 10K should aim for no more than a 300 calorie deficit per day, to avoid sending your body into starvation mode. Agree or disagree?

I ask because lately I've had calorie deficits of over 600 calories several days this week. Should I be eating more?

I would really like to lose a pound a week on average. That said, I understand that weight fluctuates based on many different factors. I just don't want to sabotage my weight loss by eating too little.
