I have been counting calories for about a year and at first, the loss was very slow but to date, I have lost 25 pounds. I am type one diabetic so that is another reason my loss is slow. When I arrived here. I got a free shipment of Bodyfit pills, and I have fallen in love with these pills. I am no longer dragging and never get tired during the day.

Final weight goal of 140 pounds & maintain my fitness with excellent blood sugar management.

I think you're doing GREAT and losing at a healthy pace. I won't lose any weight at all for 3 weeks of the month then the week before TOM I lose all my weight for the month. Plus my loss has slowed down a lot since I'm within 20 lbs of my goal. Just keep truckin'! And everyone is right, you ARE a winner!

Thanks! After 15 years of being "obese", it's hard to believe I am finally "healthy". I must admit, my brain hasn't caught up with my body yet. I still see myself as overweight.

Thanks for the reassurance, ANNE_SP. I remembered the 1-2 pounds per week but wasn't aware that is an average. Whew!

It is odd that my loss has settled into week 1 - zero, week 2- zero, week 3- 2 pounds. But hey, as long as I'm not gaining, it's good.

Thanks for the congratulations. Having hit a BMI of 24.9 today, I feel like a winner!

Hi,

That is a normal phenomenon when you're losing weight (especially closer to your goal, as you noted). Your overall your average loss is not recommended to be more 1-2 pounds each week, but that is an average. You may have weeks where you don't lose at all, and often (like you saw), you will see 1 or more pounds gone at a time. Congratulations on the loss, by the way--great job!!

I'm a 5'2" female. I started at 210 pounds in December 2012. I've lost 1-2 pounds a week fairly steadily until the last two months. Today I weigh 136.5 pounds.
I'm exercising about 1800 cals/week (cardio and strength training) and eating 1300 calories/day on average.

Now I don't lose anything for 2 weeks then I lose 2 pounds all in one week. Is that too fast? Is this normal weight loss pattern as you get closer to goal?
