Welcome back ! I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. take baby steps literally and figuratively by starting with small changes first. don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated.
I'm a firm believer that stress is a neglected aspect of weight gain. If a person could reduce their stress, they'd automatically reduce their waistline. You need to find better ways to reduce stress that don't involve food. When you feel an urge to run to the kitchen, put on your jacket and take a walk instead. go to the gym and have a vigorous workout to vent your stress. sit and sip a cup of tea. Tea is extremely relaxing. have a bubble bath or take a shower. listen to your favorite music. knit or sew. how about blogging ? writing is a great way to reduce stress.
While many of us have turned to food for comfort, there really are better ways to reduce your stress. have you considered taking a yoga class ? learning to meditate is another great way to reduce your stress.
