Think about what you can and should do to start reversing the trend, pick whatever small thing sounds simplest and easiest and do that now, no delay. Then once that starts to become easy on your mind and you adjust to the idea of making positive changes, you can move on to more difficult things.
I think when it comes to finding that elusive motivation, SP has it exactly right -- baby steps! And persistence. Success breeds success.
