You can journalize this as an event. You can see this event re-occuring in the future. What do you want to tell yourself in the future. Is there anything you want to do different? Write it down. Is there something you could have done different? Write it down? Is there a message of support you can give yourself in the future? Write in down.
When this event presents itself to you, you will have your own words of wisdom to reflect upon.
Then you can journalize that event.

Whatever happens, happens, life is a journey. There's no rush. Enjoy your day.

yes tracking food is great, as you can see exactly how many calories you have left for the day.

When I over eat....and believe me this week was a doozy for over eating (TOM). I track it. See on paper (screen) what I ate and exactly how many calories it was. I don't beat myself up, I use it so I know exactly what I did and maybe in the future I can make a better choice.

For me this journey is alot about learning about food and myself. And I need facts to base future decisions on, cause this is not a diet. This is teaching myself how to make better choices and recogonizing when and why I over eat

The one thing that seriously helps me keep from overeating in a day is to track my food before I eat it. I don't really know why it works, but it truly does.

If I'm going to go out, I'll track something as close as possible to what I'm going to have. Sometimes I then decided it isn't worth it when I see the numbers, sometimes I make it work with the numbers.

It's going to happen and it's ok, just be sure to track everything so you have that info.

If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.

CABALLOBLANCO,

Don't worry ! one meal or even one day of over indulgent eating WILL NOT make or break your healthy lifestyle.

This is going to be hard, but you're going to have to accept the fact that there will be days you eat more than others. And that's okay ! You're not perfect. Stop trying to be perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be healthy.

Cut yourself some slack, it really does take time to learn new habits. If you beat yourself up every single time you over eat, you're going to make yourself miserable and that's not healthy.

So I just overate by a lot..... and I guess I'm okay with that, which is weird because normally I'd be hating myself for it. But for some reason I know that I'm going to get better at not over eating and that I will know how to control myself better. And in all reality it wasn't over 5,000 calories so I guess it could have been worse.

But I guess I'm posting this just to see what ideas you guys have for preventing this in the future and how I can make tomorrow better.

Thanks!
