I agree with the advice to make an appointment. I always look at my schedule in advance and schedule my workouts for when I know I'm mostly likely to be successful. I don't say, "I'll do it tomorrow" or "I'll start Monday." I say, instead, "Tuesday, when I get home from work, after a quick snack, I'll take my dog for a walk, and then I'll run three miles at the park. Wednesday I'll do a strength training dvd after work, and Thursday, I'll run 3 miles. Friday is yoga, and Saturday, the gym." I already know in advance what each day holds, and the only decision I have to make is to keep the commitment.
Motivation will get you to the start line; discipline will get you to the finish.
