It isn't as hard now that I have developed my favorites list. Remember that when you find something in a search, check the box to have it added to your favorites. Then the things you eat all the time are easy to find and you only have to go to the general search now and then.
Another thing I just discovered this past week: When you are in your favorites tab, you can type a word for what you are looking for and the listings with that word will show up. No having to scroll through it all. You can check it and search your next item. The first item remains checked and so on until you hit the "add to tracker" button. That has really made entering easier and faster.
You can also create meal groups for those things you eat the same all the time. If you have favorite recipes, you can calculate the calories at sparkrecipes.com and add that food to your favorites list.
