Just stare at the food. And talk to it. "I only want you because I think you'll make me feel better. But, I know what's really inside you.. you're this, and that, and that.. I can do SO MUCH better than you."
And then, do one better.
If you want a beer before bed, pour a glass of wine (at least you'll get anti-oxidants), or water, or de-caffeinated coffee.
If you want ice cream, grab a piece of fruit and a small side to go with it. (Apple/Banana and Peanut Butter, Strawberries and Whip Cream, etc.)
Or, if you've already had dinner- STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN. That's a pretty good way to ensure you won't be tempted by the food within. :)
