Like you, its been a "lifelong" for me....open the Oreos, and my good intentions are almost instantly vaporized. Wouldn't be so bad, but the 'after effects' seem to linger for a week!! The only thing that really works for me is the "self tough-love". If its sugar, now I just don't buy it! I do live with someone who is impervious to the effects though, so I have to keep pulling up my reserves of that "self tough-love"!! lol Carbs that come from good foods don't affect me the same. Even a "high glycemic" like a baked potato doesn't really do the same to me... one small one is enough, and I'm content.
You are way ahead of many folks though---because you actually realize Sugar/Carb addiction is an issue for you!! We'll see if others can give both of us some better ideas!
