Don't slip up. You said it yourself, if it's "excess" food you don't need it. Remember food is fuel for your body, and though it tastes good and that is a comfort to us, if you're not hungry then you need to get comfort from something else.
I know you're stressed about social situations and have tried various methods to cope with your speech, but have you looked into how to lower stress levels? Such as yoga, meditation, breathing exercises. What other hobbies do you enjoy that can help you get your mind elsewhere when you feel the urge to binge?
Oh, and as for your speaking abilities, are you sure others perceive you that way, or is it just your own insecurities? Either way, my heart goes out to you and I hope you pay yourself some kindness. Remember your talents and good points, I know you must have many.
