Hi, DAWNMA75 !

What you're experiencing really is normal. While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. There will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. This is not the Biggest Loser where people lose weight week after week after week. There will be periods when you don't have a loss and that really is normal.

This is nothing more than a stage of your weight loss. When will you start losing ? No one here can answer that. However, I can assure you that if you continue to eat right, watch your portions and get some regular exercise, you will lose with time. You just need to be patient with yourself and your body.

Try not to worry ! You're doing just fine !

Hi Dawnma,

I have had a few weeks where the scale didn't change as well. Is it that time of the month? That can effect weight with bloating.

You said you've changed up your exercise. What do you do? I used to walk a lot, which I still do, and I love it, but when I added some hard calisthenics (30 Day Shred, Kickboxing) I saw a change in my body that was beyond the scale.

Do your clothes feel different? Can you do physical things you couldn't do before? That is a good thing to look at that goes beyond the scale. Don't let those little numbers freak you out.

I had a few weeks with no change in the scale, I was wondering what was up. Then after a few weeks of that, I stepped on to see a 6 pound loss. So who knows, maybe I was holding water, maybe the harder workouts caused my muscles to hold on to water, I don't know- but it paid off.

Be encouraged- you're still doing what you know works, judging from your past results. Just keep going.

Today's excuses are tomorrow's regrets dressed in disguise.

If you eat crap, you feel like crap and that makes you want more crap.

Thy say patience is a virture....I dont see you logging your food...maybe you have up your calorie intake without knowing it....or you may be retaining fluids from too much sodim in the foods.....

to jump start yourself again chose fewer carbohydrates and more protein for several days, maybe even a week, skip all breads and pasta for a few days.... eat veggie soup....eat berries which have the least impact on blood sugar and veggies as they can also hydrate you.

Have 3 ounces of protein at every meal as it stimulates the body to burn fat....I also found that moving every 20 minutes all day long helps..eat some high water foods...Asparagus,
cucumber, celery, spinach, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, radishes, eggplant, cabbage, cauliflower, sweet peppers, spinach, strawberries, grapefruit and brocolli, artichokes, watercress, cabbage, onion, even carrots, cantalope, ice slushies made from fresh berries, and also homemade veggie soup (less sodium when homemade.)

If you are dehydarted you can also stall losing....

Good Luck...keep up the good work.
