I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". if the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. That's not going to happen overnight, a week, a month or even a year. Change takes time, thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
I can't imagine living a life where I wasn't allowed to eat cake because I was worried I'd gain weight. that's not healthy. A slice of birthday cake, a soda, brownie, chips, etc... CAN all be a part of a healthy lifestyle as long as you are mindful of that portion size.
Personally, I eat cake. I even ate chocolate every day as I was losing weight. I took the weight off and I've kept it off. I still eat foods I really enjoy like cake and cookies and chocolate and cheese. Why do my favorite foods all start with the letter C ?? LOL ! The point ? You don't have to deprive yourself to be healthy. You can have your cake and eat it too as long as you are mindful of the portion.
It's your graduation ! enjoy a small piece of cake and a little ice cream. Congratulations, you worked hard.
