I am up at 5am, and have been awake since 4am. This is my third day in a row of getting only four hours of sleep. This may by TMI, BUT - I am also very constipated. My frustration is that I am vegan, eat oatmeal for bfast and a BIG healthy salad for lunch every day, plus extra fruit and veggies throughout day. I eat mostly whole grains. I have tried mirilax daily for a week. Again, sorry if TMI but I have had nothing for THREE DAYS. Now I am cramping from this, and it is even harder to get the sleep I very much need. I have always struggled with sleep, I do not need this other issue interfering. I have tried stool softener in the past and it worked better than this mirilax is working but not as good as I think it should. How does a vegan who exercises and drinks LOTS of water (even at night I have a cup by my bed) have this problem!
This is embarrassing to post, but I am SOOOO frustrated and tired. The only information I get online is to eat more whole grains and veggies and to exercise. Last year at my physical my doctor told me the same thing. I. Am. Vegan. I. Exercise. I took the stool softener. What else is there!?
My tummy actually hurts from this now. I am going to try a light cardio workout on the bike to hope that this helps. But I am NOT looking forward to the rest of the day, being so tired and irritable.
