I am sorry to hear that your mother's health is declining!
Is she living in her own home or with you? ........... or is she in a Care Home?
I have worked in a Care Home and also in the client's own home, with them having varying needs - some just with a bit of house work, but others with virtual total care re dementia or physical issues. I also had my Mother-in-law live with my husband and I in our own home, until she passed away. I now care for my 91yr old mother and 93yr old stepfather - both of whom live in their own homes, but not without lots of input from me and daily caregivers.
One thing that I will suggest is to ensure that you have a very good support system in place. We all need someone we can off-load to at times, and when a parent's health is declining, often the adult children grieve this loss, too! Make sure that you take some time out to do what YOU need/want too! This is really important because it helps to give us strength to continue caring for them.
We are here to support you as much as we can, too, so remember that!
PS - I wanted to give you a SparkGoodie but your SparkPage is set to private so I couldn't so instead will give you this:
