College is not easy. It is very stressful but you can do things to help manage that stress. I destress by taking walks in secluded areas. Less people=less stress for me. My sister works out as a destresser (Wish I had that same motivation!). What helps you unwind? Be sure to take some time and relax every night, even if it's just for 30 minutes.
For the dietary aspect, college dieting consists of chips and any fast food you can get your hands on between classes. To avoid this, try getting up 10-15 min early to make your lunch or even make it the night before. One thing I'm going to try (I'm not in school but I work 2 jobs currently along with planning a wedding) is having cooking marathons on the weekends to stock up on meals thru the week. I'm going to make meals that are freezer friendly so they keep longer :) Also, a crockpot can be your best friend!!! It cooks delicious meals for you.
Exercise has never been my specialty outside of walking but when I get up I try to do at least 2 minutes of some sort of cardio. Jumping jacks, squat jumps, etc. It only takes 2 minutes and gets the heart going and helps me wake up. Park far away from the campus and walk if you don't have a ton of stuff to carry :) every movement counts!!
Don't worry about the ten pounds. Think of them as your learning lesson. They are going to teach you how to manage a bunch of things at once. Call them your superwoman pounds! When you are able to get rid of them you will certainly feel like the superwoman you are! :)
you can PM me at any time if you need to talk or need some motivation or ideas :)
