I am sorry for the long delay in responding. Usually the threads are answered more quickly, but sometimes it does take a little longer.
I would be inclined to give your knee a total rest for a few days to allow it to recover. I would also be wary of reading things on the internet, even when the site is a very reliable one, because sometimes it is very important to be physically examined to rule out other problems which could require specialist intervention. Often very similar symptoms can be really minor, or a more serious condition.
I know that a few years ago when I was a First Responder, I would treat people with injuries - and knee/ankle injuries were extremely common given the type of sports I was covering. Anyway I recall some incidences where I would strongly recommend that they go to the Dr to be properly assessed. A couple weeks later I would see them at the sports events again and they would be in a cast or heavily bandaged. They had disregarded my referring them on even tho' our Accident Compensation Corp. paid for their visit, AND the Medical Centre was open for 'walk-in's, only to suffer the consequences. We often under-estimate the damage that can be caused by ignoring that sort of problem.
I hope that yours resolves itself, but if you still have any problems, please touch base with your Dr.
