Hi, PrincessSkate -
Sure do hear you - that "good grief, what have I done" feeling is one with which I sure can identify...hearing it in my own voice, in fact! So, you took a couple of steps backwards - right now you can choose to continue, or instead to make your act of facing facts the first of many steps forward.
As for where to begin, just begin where you are right now. If you're not tracking what you eat, you might take a week and just track, honestly and completely. That might give you a better idea what you're taking in. You can also track activity - you must be doing a lot of campus walking! After you know what the facts are, then you can take a hard look at what you CAN change. There are other options for the microwave besides soup if you choose to go that route. There's also the option of bagging lunches you make from grocery store items, perhaps just a few times a week to start, and then more often to reduce the dining hall meals that you don't want to eat. It does take some extra planning, but if the weight loss is worth it to you, you'll find the time.
You can do it! There are lots of useful tools here, great information, and however much encouragement you'd like. Hang in there - just remember that it all happens one choice at a time.
