Teddy bears are usually the best therapists.

Last night I talked to my teddy bear and let out all of my feelings. Yes, I actually talked to my teddy bear. And I felt so much better afterwards. And believe it or not, last night for the first night in weeks, I actually got some good sleep! Whoo!! :D

Hey, Jamie !

The emotional stress from your breakup is causing your sleep problems. You may find your sleep pattern disrupted for a while or at least until you start feeling more comfortable as a single person again.

One thing I will say is this,"you are not an incomplete person because you're single". I know you're probably feeling a bit lonely right now, but things do get better. You're a strong woman who will get through this rough patch.

For now, you need some distractions. Do you have a gym membership ? I recommend taking some classes. It's something to do to keep you busy so that you aren't at home stressing out. get out of the house and have some fun. Take a walk. Walking is not only great cardiovascular exercise, it's a great way to reduce stress.

And well, how about a teddy bear ? I have a teddy bear ! Teddy bears make wonderful company. They're good listeners too. They don't complain and they're very supportive. Oh and they don't take up too much space in bed.

Hi,

So sorry you are having sleep issues.

You are correct about sleep being such an important part of our healthy lifestyle. In fact studies are showing that even minor disturbances in our sleep patterns can have an affect on our weight and the choices we make.

Below is a link to SparkPeople's Sleep Challenge Team. You will find lots of great info, support and ideas that hopefully will help you get some restful sleep.

Although I've been doing very well to move apart from my last beloved, I've been having a hard time sleeping good ever since the split. I haven't been able to figure out why either.

Is it because I'm so used to cuddling up with someone? Right now, it's my best guess, but nothing makes sense, not even that. I'm EXHAUSTED when I go to bed from working all day and having a hard work out. I go to bed plenty enough time to get a full 8 hours of sleep, and I hardly ponder about my ex at all before I try to go to sleep. But all I've been doing is tossing and turning with the occassional 3 hours of actual sleep.

My lack of sleep is starting to bring me down a little and is starting to affect my work, exercise, and mood. Just when I thought I was doing so well with dealing with everything!
